Interesting. Of course always some mixed feelings (of sadness, shame, irritation) regarding the enequality between monks and nuns... Argh... a long way to go guys!
@@skutty5773 just because women always laugh at you doesn't mean you should try to disguise your preferences for men. There's no shame in being a man's man, big boy 🥰
They've figured it out. WE have a long way to go. Don't identify with gender in the first place and you wont have that problem. I hope it stays the way it is over there.
Who are these two nuns? Can anyone explain the development of the name of Wat Ning Pa Pong? When I first started going to Chithurst in 1980, it was called Wat Pa, then in around 1985 it was Wat Pa Pong and now it’s Wat Ning Pa Pong. Why the additional names? I’ve never though to ask, even when I went to stay there in 1996/7.
wat pha nanachat is smaller and is the only place you can see a monk dancing (when they walk through the forest path there are very painful ants bite your feet!) - the ways at Wat Pha Nanachat are very different to those at Wat Nong Pha Pong. I stayed at both. You need to speak Thai to be able to get anything from Wat Nong Pha Pong, which is why Wat Pha Nanachat is where one should go if cannot speak Thai. But Wat Nong Pha Pong is where the real practice is at - when i stayed at wat nong pha pong, it was forbidden to take a mobile phone or video recording device into the main practice walled area..No phones or other distractions there allowed. seems to have changed a bit
