I talked with an employee with sheriff department in Florida, she said electric bikes are #1 stolen item they deal with, so this expensive batteries being able to be removed is actually a very good feature for urban dwellers.
everything gets stolen in Florida it's to bad because it's an outdoor lovers paradise to bad drugs have turned it into a shit hole Boats kayaks fishing equipment grills landscaping and construction equipment nothing is safe
My friend just bought this bike and the instruction booklet seems to cover about 6 different models and very obviously didn't cover the specifics of this particular model. So, thank you for the informative video; it is much appreciated!
Glad to have seen this honest review Thank you! Is there actually a battery replacement available in the market? Based on Amazon reviews they don't have it.
I love mine! Adding a touch of battery weight to the front may make you pedal a tick on inclines the bike’s not made for , 30 degrees (“made for” being important), but saves power as you descend, unless you wish to live in the mountain top. Be realistic. I-rider, no-towing bike for the cost of what crap manuals sell for all day long. The “battery inside” is a horrible idea, especially if it manages to catch fire! This lets you remove it to charge (you can easily charge it outside the bag with include lightweight charger, and prevent theft). Building it inside the bike is a nightmare scenario of swapping. I’ll take Velcro and standard clasps, myself). Plus if you’re riding to “look cool” umm… don’t ride.
“Of course if this had *hydraulic brakes* the performance would be much bette!l” 1. You stopped in under 4 seconds. That’s impressive for any vehicle, 2. Hydraulic brakes wound send you over the bars if you went from that speed to zero in 2 seconds. And friction-blast your tires on roadway so expect to replace your tires very soon, very often, and very much the rider’s fault. “Not as bad as I imagined…” What did you imagine? A physics degree?
external battery id say is better for when it comes to replacing the battery and if u dont like the look of the front add a fern to it to hide it or like a face plate etc for looks
Just took mine out for a spin in snowy northeast weather. Not very good. Tires are too thin for icy roads and any snow taller than an inch. The tire traction isn’t that good for streets anyway. The manufacturer put the cheapest possible tires on here. I think I’m gonna try to switch out and get a wider tire if possible does not much room though for upgrade but I think that might be a slightly fatter tire. I can put on the bike. I’ve had a lot of trouble on anything dirt path or soft sand with this bike anyways. It’s mainly a good commuting bike on asphalt with no uphills.
@@Tiredmiatais it a bike??? Thank you I was so confused thought I was riding a flying saucer. And I’ve mountain bikes for many years and I can tell you this isn’t good for that either. It’s heavy the shocks aren’t good and you feel everything. I’ve biked in snow my whole life as well and I can say this. Ike has flaws. It’s a budget bike I get it it was only $379. They had $100 Amazon gift card burning a hole in my pocket so I took a shot now I could either modify this bike to make it a little bit better or I sell it For a little bit of a loss and try to go with something a little bit better and faster with better range I can tell you this bike does not get 26 miles on pedal assist not even close, and after six months of being gently ridden and kept out of the elements. All the metal parts have already started rusting and just as of earlier this week all of a sudden it feels as if everything has become loose on the bike so there’s gotta be regular tightening of the handlebars of the seats etc. Again given my honest opinion it’s a great commuter bike and if you have a straightaway all the way to where you need to go it’s wonderful you can cruise at 20 but you’ll go through that battery very quickly in the battery batteries right on the handlebars so again you’re trying to take this thing off road you’re gonna be smashing that battery back-and-forth it’s not what you think. Now idk if you’re an owner of this bike or have even tested it out but I’d love to hear your opinion of it.
In reality this is a 150€ bike, coupled with a motor/controller/battery. Is it worth your money? Well... Suggesting you are thinking of buying one of those smaller frame 250W e-bikes, I guess this is better and has a similar price to performance ratio. However, there are convertion kits that are newbie friendly and you could get at least 500W for the same price... (1000W is also on the table :3 but it's not newbie friendly at that price).
first time watching your review on something pc/tablet/phone unrelated. i need to buy a mountain bike now. 😆 what did you use to record while biking? gopro?
Hi friend i bought a vivif26f fat tyre....same look. I been banging it on rough mountain rocky road bang bang bang up and down. Bang bang. Seems ok so far but is it made for that or just dirt trails? Lol...
It is difficult at first but once you get it you will do fine. When you unlock it, pull the rod out and you actually lift it slightly up maybe quarter of an inch and that this lodges it and then you can fold the bike up they don’t really tell you that at first kind of trial and error
Awesome video! I love the honesty I have this bike as well and I agree with all of what you said I do wish the battery was hidden because it's annoying to swap
Uber and Doordash should only allow people with cars to run deliveries.. Nobody wants cold food because you took forever on a bicycle and had the wind blowing all over the food. If I see a bicycle driver deliver my food, I'm getting a refund.
Was gonna get this thing but after watching this review I’ve changed mah mind my regular bike is much higher quality than this piece of junk of an e-bike 😂
@@Techtablets yeah regular bikes are better overall especially since they have fork suspensions with more travel and go the distance either way but of course one has to pedal and get a good workout in, which is beneficial in the long run.
You do unsteady that if you’re able to lift your butt off the seat 1-2” (inches) while passing over some lumpy terrain, your legs act as their own shock absorbers and the extra 2” of front suspension means you’ll feel virtually none of it, right? “No! I need a 4-6” fork cuz I’m I’m hardcore!”- sorry but such people are idiots who have no understanding of physics and should use a snow sled to get down 🤣. Is this for made for racing completions? NOPE! Is it made to bike an 8 mile island in and out of town with a few rough patches? Absolutely. And folds in half. The throttle is very responsibly touch-responsive: you won’t go 0-20mph into a tree; the more you twist, the faster, less is slower and all In between. “Today I’m going to take a $110 Walmart kayak up and down the Amazon River to test its durability! With a 309lbs pack and no brain!”
