Whatever judgment one makes about the film Anna Karinina, she was wonderful in the part. She would have fared better in many ways had she not married Olivier. When she won her Oscar for GWTW, he wanted to grab it out of her hands and hit her over the head with it. That's love????? I think he decided then he would show her who was the great actor. Probably on the stage, but nothing he did in film will outshine and last like her Blanche and Scarlett.
