6 years later and no doubt Vivobarefoot is doing well as ever. I'm a recent convert. Tennis player myself who rolled his ankle badly over 2 months ago. To compound I also have a neuroma between the 1st and 2nd metatarsal of the right foot, and mild capsulitis of the phalangeal joint going into my 2nd toe (right foot also). Needless to say, I've been desperate the past couple months, but feel like I've found nirvana when discovering minimalist shoes, Vivobarefoot in particular. Sounds counter-intuitive to the dogma we've all been indoctrinated with, but my feet are much more comfortable in a zero drop, wide toe box shoe with little cushioning and lots of flex. Keep up the great work, my feet thank you.

I absolutely love the vivobarefoot shoes! I started barefoot/xero sandal walking a year ago, but I also needed some shoes that cover my feet as I do student placements at hospitals. These work really great and save me from the ankle pain. Thank you!

I've been a Vivo purist and advocate for 5 years now (I've worn nothing else - else I've worn nothing!) and it's great to learn about the backstory to this great product which has certainly brought me back to nature. I'm now free to run marathons, run trails and practice martial arts with nary an ounce of a shin splint, my erstwhile nemesis! Thanks Tim.

Great to hear that Douglas. Its often a long (and sometimes puzzling) process for most people to get used to running in minimal shoes or barefoot. But it's great to hear when someone makes the transition and has a positive experience.

Kinda crazy that I just started looking into to transition to barefoot. Then separately I wanted to fix my posture, cause mom said something about it. So maybe like 3 days after I had ordered my xero shoes and started taking steps to transition to barefoot, I got into the alexander technique for posture correction. I've been taking steps for the past few days to help gain a better posture and then I find this youtube account on posture and all the sudden the creator of vivobarefoot is here!!!

I am probably going to buy a pair, but I really wanted to hear more about how it resolved your problem.

Non shoe wearing people in India and China have been studied by researchers. Their feet were free from the common ailments of shoe wearing populations. I have the reference somewhere if you need it.

Tim, question for you. I play tennis barefoot on synthetic turf but not possible on hard courts. Which shoe in your range would be most suited for tennis. I find all specialty tennis shoes now artificially tip you feet inward, for lateral cuts I guess, but I find they cause inner knee problems. So I play barefoot and find movement so much more natural.

Really very interesting. I'm fascinated to know whether or not non shoe wearing peoples have bunions and/or hallux limitus??

Yep. It was pretty nerve racking. Hope it doesn't detract too much from the presentation.
