I got my first vizio m series 2014, i've seen online apps such as Spotify, Pandora and some others that I don't have, I went to the yahoo connected tv store and the page never loads, i only see the home option and another 3 options. Is there a fix for this or is this normal??
It worked! Thank you so much! I was going to do a hard reset and didn’t feel right about it. I have tried so many other videos. I had to keep doing it more than once when switching to apps but hey whatever works
I mean it’s kind of true tho. None of my other TVs did this and I just got it it in December 2020 it’s brand new never been used before. The only reason I had to come to this video
All I can say is YOU DA' MAN! I spent about an hour with a Vizio tech support lady who went through the whole algorithm and it didn't work. She gave me number to call (which I'm sure would've cost me $$$). Luckily it is Sunday and no one was there. So I finally tried YOUTube. Shoulda' started there. Thanks for posting this.
I am not sure if this tread is still active or not. I am guessing you can see the date, but just in case, today is July 28th 2017. My issue is a bit different. I have uploaded videos using my laptop. The videos play on my laptop and on my phone. They do NOT play on the smart TV. I tried changing the settings on the video. I went from private, to unlisted, to public, but still nothing. Yes, the account on the laptop and the account showing on the TV are the same. Yes, other videos play just fine on the TV just not the ones I upload. Yes, this is a new problem for me that seemed to start about 3 or 4 months ago (again as others stated it might be something with a new update). I have even gone so far as to completely uninstall/ reinstall the RU-vid app on the TV; and likewise I deleted all 25 personal videos and reloaded a few of them at a time to test. I keep getting an error message on screen; the worst part about it is that it tells me to screen shot (how on the TV?!?!) and send/ report to get help. Again, the problem is not on the laptop or mobile devise. It is through the Vizo smart TV.
This did the job...thank you! Maybe not the best TV, but does the job nicely. Cut the cable so finding simple solutions to watch the few channels we lost.
the problem i am having is that my vizio tv is that while i am watching netflix it shuts down netflix or even the tv. is this something i can fix on my own ??
my vizio controler does not have a settings button...where is it? I the 2012 Vizio Smart tv works on HULU and Netflix but was deleted by RU-vid last month...where do I go from here...Tom
My apps look old, especially Netflix, they have the old style look. I can use everything,but I don't know how to get it to force update. I have the old style Netflix menu,too. I can tell that my apps are old because my Playstation has better newer looking apps with better graphics. I have a Sony Vizio E series T.V. The wireless works really well on every other device in my home, but I have to hard wired the T.V''s connection so that it doesn't cut the internet connection off. Figured that with it being hard wired that it would update, but it doesn't seem to.
All my apps work except you tube...I try to connect it from my phone and off the remote the screen goes black like it's going to connect then back to regular tv
How do u update the tv? I’m stuck on version v1.5.16-uhd. Is there any other update. Also I’m not getting 4k Disney plus on my 4k firestick even tho it’s plugged into a hdcp 2.2 port?? Could I help out with that?
My 65 Vizio lost the RU-vid app! Please let me know how to get it back! Everything else works fine I get all the rest of the apps except RU-vid! I look true all the menu in and out up and down and nada!nothing it's gone! Please help me!

My WiFi is on and it even shows it on the info top bar.. but when I click on let’s say amazon to watch movies. It loads but after a few seconds it says network disconnected. I tried this and it’s still not working
Had this problem called vizio 4 times got it fixed on the 5th call it pretty much shit the bed so I had to actually take the Ethernet cable and plug into tv to get it to work for internet
I found out, Its the internet security setting in the router, if you dont want to do it youself call customer service/the internet provider they can do it for you. Here are the settings for Vizio WPA PSK TKIP any one of those 3.
You can't. The TV is a dinosaur... Just get a fire stick, hook up a laptop, or anything else. The TV itself is outdated... As far as the "smart TV" functions.
My Vizio 50" TV was fine with Netflix for over 2 yrs then just started saying this week that the TV was not connected to the Internet. Absolutely nothing had changed in the house. Have Verizon FIOS. They sent me a new router today but it still would not work.
