imma make a comment before watching video with initial thoughts. Before I saw the error, i was like “we can’t put this game all on vladdy jays had so many opportunities for big innings and only scored 2 runs”. After seeing the error, I still think that vladdy cannot be solely to blame for the loss due to all the missed opportunities by the offence. But wow, that is a BAD error. It wasn’t a difficult play or a bad throw, he just simply didn’t catch it. Not a great look at all.

Shapiro gutted the soul of that team when he traded Teoscar and Lourdes. Both were tight with Vladdy, not to mention the protection they afforded him by making it very hard to pitch around him. Blue Jays management is a joke. Seems like he is just lost out there with the pressure of the world on his shoulders.😢

Fun fact, because of how the arbitration system works in baseball, players almost never get a pay cut. The most notorious example of this is Cody Bellinger getting a 900k raise after hitting .160/.240/.302 in 95 games in 2021.
