Recently went from my SpecD to the Vland. Vland SpecD LED tail light comparison for Lexus 2IS IS250 IS350 ISF IS-F
SpecD Smoked Red on left, Vland smoked red on right. Have had the Specd tails for 1.5 years, zero issues, tons of compliments. No condensation issues even going through touches auto car wash 3x a week. Love the “L” brake signal. A bit dark when off so to avoid cop issues I always had them on. I once got pulled(doing 59 in a 55) over in MD and the cop thought I smoked my lenses, ended up getting me for 30% tinted windows..
Vland are newer style and while they bulge a little on the sides, the design off and on is cleaner, and you get a yellow turn signal. Not a fan of brake light but overall more of a “3IS” look. Car looks more aggressive when off I feel. Vland were also plug and play, very easy. Not that SpecD were difficult to wire with directions, just took an extra 20 minutes. Will see how the Vland compare with reverse lights at night and in quality. Not sure why the SpecD look more orange, they are definitely red in person. This was filmed with iPhone 8+.

Which are brighter overall? And how’s the reverse led at night brighter than let’s say having the oem tails with a nice white t15 led in its place

Both are bright red and visible with parking lights/brake lights. Both of the white led's in them aren't quite that bright. Good enough, but not amazing. Have no experience with the bulb you mentioned, nor do I think the bulbs can be upgraded. I still like both lights a lot.

I had the spec d ones (probably same output as any other aftermarket one) and the reverse light isnt as bright compared to oem with a led reverse light off amazon. same goes for the turn signal bulbs compared to oem + leds

Hi there, i have IS 250 europe version from Ireland, are they gonna fit without any issue? what about AFS does it light up or you need to take fuse out? plug & play or you need change voltage, reprogram main computer etc? thx.

Hello, I'm not sure why AFS would be an issue, that's only for the headlights. The Vland are plug and play. The SpecD did require rewiring but they offer printed as well as youtube directions. All in, even with very basic skills, the Vland should take 30 min to install, the SpecD maybe 45-60 minutes..Nothing else needed.

This one I bought off eBay. It came in gray plastic I had painted black. It was honestly 7/10 fitment. It’s a toms diffuser replica

I like the Vland more. They are plug and play, not quite as dark when off(thus not being cop bait), and they have a more 3IS updated look. They are newer than the SpecD and were not an option when I originally upgraded the tails. Either design really updates the car imo.

When I found the Vland light and went to buy them The seller told me that the Vland lights are a waste of money and if I wash the car, the light will have water in it and will be ruined. Is that right? I really liked the the Vland light

Not sure why a seller would tell you that. Personally I've had the SpecD for over a year and the Vlands I have now had 6 months. I go through carwash at least 2-3x a week and have experienced no water or condensation in either set. If you are that worried you can put a bead of silicone all around the lights before installing also.

Yeahhhhh but most people look at the comments before the description lol thanks man I just ordered the black spec Ds yesterday. Did you have any trouble putting them in?

Z Skratch no sir, the SpecD takes longer because of the extra wiring but overall the directions are pretty clear. Even with fumbling around looking for tools and taking videos in between it took me maybe 45 minutes the first time.
