@@MKAK47 it’s a fairly entry level trail and I’ve been on it 4-5 times now. Never seen anyone struggle or damage anything other than a low front bumper
Cool video ! I'm looking to sell my 350z and my gs300 to buy this isf. I'm sure I need LSD version (so can't buy the fist version) but can you tell me more about the handling upgrade between 2 last version of this isf ? Is it possible to update or flash the steering ECU on the previous gen ? If I understand well there is 3 versions of this isf ? Sorry for my english I from France ! See you !
The one gx470 was pretty much stock. I’ve done the same trail before in my gx470 on just 265/70/17’s, it’s not a tough trail. The silver gx460 had one size up upsized tires I believe. All of them are very capable fresh from the factory.
I’m sure club Lexus forum has a list somewhere but off the top of my head, the 12 wheels were upgraded and wider with wider rubber, the headlights led strip was more white and less yellow, the suspension was further tweaked and red seats were added as an option. Also nebula gray came out.
@@valdaviper1 thanks so much! im thinking of running 18x10 (not sure what offest) with some beefy tyres, like 285s with a decent profile. Did you stick to the 255 on the front because anything bigger would rub??
Sick ride! How low did you go when dropping your car? I just installed my bc coils and have it dropped at 1.5inches. Debating if I should raise it a bit lol
So looking back my measurements were from ground to the center of the wheels fender on the body. I was around 26 in front and 25.5 to 25.75" in the rear. I was limited by my 255/285 setup and went as low as I could without rubbing. Hope this helps.
My man in the 21' 570 with his nuts riding shotgun! What an undepreciated and new vehicle to take wheeling! We all wish we could, so congrats to you sir! Awesome crew. Thanks for uploading. No worries, but the LX has hydraulic* suspension. GX has the air :)
What’s your commute like? Mine was 70% highway. My first 08 ISF I did 60k miles in 2 years, lots of highway. These can get up to 28-29 easy on flat roads 60-70mph
Looking at doing something similar with my Jaguar XFR (5 litre supercharged V8) Currently have some amazing sounding back boxes (Spires stage 2) but need a resonator delete next and hopefully UEL headers after that.
Thanks! Both the F's had Tom's replica diffuser. The white ISF had front lexon lip and replica cf side skirts. The silver F had bayson r front ebay lip, and ebay skirts. Both had vinyl wrapped roofs and 35% tint.
The "trail" shown at the 12 minute mark is no longer accessible it is all blocked off by a field of boulders. No access is there. LOTS of boulders this really pissed off the park service as it was "off trail riding"
Looks great. The 5100 number you quoted were cars imported for the USA market. There were around 11,000 total worldwide. A few years ago, a dealer revealed that there were less than 4400 ISFs registered with the DMV in the USA. There are even less now, with many being imported or wrecked.
