Well, it's mid-December and well and truly the crazy time of the year! So I am sure that you are busy, and I know that I am flat out, so my intention was to be shorter....
However I ended up adding a flip through of my 2008 Food Diary, a look at my teaching sketchbook and a teacup demo!
The big theme of the week is that on a number of occasions when I thought to myself "maybe I could do a sketch of this" I acted on it.
I simply picked up whatever tool was handy and started. I didn't worry about whether the sketch would be pretty or how it would sit on my page, I just went for it. This is good!

I can NOT tell you how helpful this video has been!! I am working to get past the "every time I put pen or brush to paper .. it better well be good!! " And this is what keeps me from starting .. most of the time... I am going to try your approach... I am certain it will help .. IF I can actually make myself do it! thanks for this!! cheers! : )

Fun, upbeat, and inspiring! I'm planning to borrow your LD (that's what we call it, too) and text blocks copying out daily Scripture portions. Great way to take the white off the page first thing in the morning :-)

I only recently found your site. Since April of this year, I have been making daily sketch journal entries to describe each day. I include a weather thumbnail sketch, the day of the week and the date written in Italian (I'm studying Italian online), and sketches of what I've seen and done throughout the day. When on a recent trip from my home in Birmingham, Michigan in the USA to Savannah, Georgia, USA, my daily sketching habit came in handy to solidify in my memory the places and people I saw. I really enjoyed seeing your sketches of what might be considered "mundane". It affirms that I am not so off the track when I sketch my scissors, paint brushes, meals, and ideas for sewing projects. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

this is slightly off topic from an old video but . I was curious about the mention in your sketch book of a book reading pen..? do you use this for marginalia? does it help you to absorb the information youre reading better to make notes in the margins? thanks :)
