Hi Liz, thank you for doing these videos. They are very inspiring. Some of m sketching is planned. Today I am heading out for coffee at the local coffee shop to sketch. At other times I will just pull out my sketchbook to sketch what is happening while I am waiting to do do something. My sketchbook is always with me.
I love love 💕 your channel. You an amazing artist. I’ve never sketched before hut after watching your videos I want to go and start sketching. Thank you so much for your inspiration. 😁👍
Hi Liz! Another great vlog - keep 'em coming! They are such a pleasure to watch and I love your thoughts about the process. Also, *love love love* your handwriting!
I liked the idea of using a support board outdoors, I have one but never use outdoors. This would enable me to take a bigger sketchbook and pallet on my next outing, thanks for the idea.
Thank you Liz, for doing these vlogs. I am enjoying your energy and personality and being able to see how you go about your sketching. I understand what you mean by the conversation being encoded into your sketch. A lot of times I have some sort of audio going when I sketch or draw. No matter how much time may elapse between sessions of working on the project, once I begin again I will hear parts of the audio that I was listening to when working on it before. Somehow creating seems to connect all the senses. I will look forward to your next vlog. Thanks again.
Hi Liz, I'm loving these vlogs of yours - I had no idea how much I'd enjoy them, it gives me such an insight into how you operate and it is also a constant reminder to me that I can sketch anything - it doesn't have to be anything remarkable - just as long as I'm sketching. At the moment my sketching is quite spontaneous but I really would prefer to have them more planned because I feel I'd get a lot more sketching done that way - when I leave my sketching up to chance, somehow it never seems like the 'right' moment to sketch or that I have anything interesting to sketch but when I plan to sketch, nothing gets in my way...
thanks Magdalena. Yes, you can sketch anything - I think there is real skill in seeing beauty in the mundane and this is something we have to train. I know the struggle you mention about waiting for the right moment, that is why I am thinking of scheduling some time specifically for sketching... hope to share more about this on another vlog!
Hi Liz, I love your vlog, I love your blog and I LOVE your sketches. The idea of food sketches it's quite intriguing. I should start to try it. Thank you for this video :)
Liz, that blue/purple on the jacaranda tree is beautiful even if you were iffy on the accuracy of the color. Made me want to find a subject to paint with those colors.
I usually don't plan my sketches, it's very much go with the flow! A lot of experimentation. Thank you for the inspiration to sketch! I love your vlogs, to see you in action sketching is very different from pictures and very educative :)
Hi Liz! I love your sketches, your positive energy and your encouragement. So inspiring...In fact I am an architect AND taking your foundations course as well. I am also an AVID Fountain pen collector and I would love to see the work you do with you Sailor Fude pen. Do you have any videos of sketching with it or can you do one? All the best!
Hi Susan - we have a lot in common! Fude nib videos... I just filmed a quick on for Vlog 5... also tiny bit in here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PNkjVQ1KoI8.html But request noted for future videos!
Hi Liz, just found your channel last night. Great watercolour style, very inspiring! Do you mind sharing what fountain pen you are using, it looks like a Lamy, but the end seems long and thin, I haven't seen one like that before. And also what ink are you using? Thanks.
Liz, I tend to work tight and planned. I need to let myself loosen up, but I can't seem to let myself accept sketches that aren't of a good quality. I struggle with this. I was wandering how do you layout your lines in your sketchbooks for your bible versus? Appreciate your efforts and sharing. Thanks Ken
Ken Vandermeulen I have wanted to ask Liz the same question about the lines. They seem to be consistently spaced, which is pretty hard and tedious to do by hand. :)
Hi love, what kind of pen are you using on this video? Also, by you using water color and markers...what is the thickness of the pages and who makes the sketch book. Thanks.//Chuck
