VLOG | A Week In Outfits, Wardrobe Organisation & Apartment Update 

I love how you said that if you get something nice, you wear/use it as much as possible. Often we tend to think the opposite way: that if something is expensive or fancy, we should save it for best. But in doing so we don't get the best value for our money (or someone else's money, depending who bought it) if we hardly use something expensive. If we look at it through the cost per wear lens, your way makes so much more sense - and we get to feel fabulous in our gorgeous things as well as getting value out of them! I also respect you for showing your mistakes re your knitting: that is one of the things I really value about your content, that you don't try to create this slick fake perfect world. I know you said that you don't feel like you are in the same kind of league, or run in the same circles, as some of the women that go to influencer events. And I get why feeling that could sometimes make you feel insecure. But that is the quality about you that makes you really stand out, to me: while you create high-quality content that is every bit as good as theirs, you still give the feeling of being a real person, someone relatable. Someone who doesn't mind revealing flaws or mistakes. That's not as common as you would think. Keep on being true to yourself, and don't doubt yourself. And remember we don't follow you in the hope that you will change and become like some other influencer (although we understand that channels evolve and grow): we follow you because we like you exactly as you are, yourself!

My tip: if you let linens and cottons (all fabrics, really) dry for an hour or so after steaming or ironing, they will be more crease-resistant. Slightly-damp cloth wrinkles much more easily than fully-dry cloth does. That’s why I do mine in batches, then let them dry with my laundry room fan on, before putting them into my closet or wearing them. A big fan cuts the drying time by about half.

Of course we know, and love Jamie from her YT channel Mademoiselle. I wish I knew were to get a white silk skirt like she’s wearing here. If I recall rightly, I checked the link she posted a few years ago, but it was already sold out. I do have Lily Silk’s version, but it’s a chiffon over an underslip, I really want a white habotai silk slip-style one, but have never found one. Ivory-beige is the closest I’ve found, but a true white would work much better for me. (I know silk can’t be bleached as white as other fibers, but they can get closer than the ivory or beige I see everywhere). I have a polyester one, but wearing it in summer, when I most want white, is very miserable.

Does anyone know where to get an xtra-high (tall) garment rack (ships to the US)? I have no place to properly hang my maxi and midaxi dresses, every rack I’looked at is too short, around 55-60”. I could change one in my closet, but I would lose half my total storage space! Thanks❤
