Katie's scare acting adventure was a scream! 😱💀 It's incredible to see her transformation from "behind the scenes" to giving everyone the chills in the Den of Darkness. An adventure is exactly what it was! We were on property for almost twelve hours grinding the scare game, and every minute of it was glorious 😁 I think it's safe to say that Kaylee enjoyed her first proper haunt experience, too! So many incredible memories, and we can't wait to revisit Field again soon for more! Thanks so much for watching!

What you might not have seen was the full year I spent being terrible at axe throwing at every other haunt, and finally getting the hang of it towards the back of the main season 😂 Don't worry, I'll be terrible again by the time we hit the haunt trail next year! Haha this was a truly amazing experience and we were so excited that Kaylee could be there for some of the fun. I think we'll make a haunter of her yet! 👻 Thanks for watching, Connor!

I like the "scare and retreat" - yes please retreat and stop scaring me LOL! hehe. So cool to see in the costume and make up department. Watching them do your make up is incredible. You're not late at all! If anything, we're just chronically late to respond to comments 😂 We are always so grateful for our relationship with Field and the team members there, and we had an absolute blast diving into the deep end of what it's really like to be a scare actor on property! The makeup process was really cool to watch, and Kylie did a truly phenomenal job with Katie's "Irene" look. Haha 'scare and retreat' is actually worse for you, Meg, because it repositions the actors to give _you_ a good scare after the person three people ahead of you in line has gotten their spook! 😜 Gotta bulk up on the wockets after all that energy depleted on scaring. Ahhhhhh this is such an amazing experience! I had no idea where was so much to it, like thinking about not blocking the path, never thought of that! "somewhat monstrous" is my favoutire part :D There is so much going into the makeup and outfits its so good to see from behind the scenes. Katie did so well! She made so many people jump. Who knew Tim was an axe thrower!
I swear, on this one night I was almost incapable of missing those axe throws! Kaylee had to have been my lucky charm, though, because when we went back again a few weeks later I had a much harder time landing the bullseyes. 😜 There is a ton that goes into a scare acting gig, even more than we were able to capture in our quick crash course - but Katie picked up some great stuff on her first go! She had such an amazing time and I doubt that this will be her last adventure as a scare actor. Irene will live again! 👻

I wish we could take credit for the intro, but it was actually produced years ago by the haunt itself as a sort of super-meta “true crime” ad campaign! 😁 We were given permission to use it as a lead-in since our video was all about Katie’s time in the Den. If we can scare act, then I think literally anyone can! Haha worth a try someday; if you don’t love being scared, you might still love doing some scaring! 👻 Thanks so much for watching and for all the support! This was such a fun project to undertake!
Tbh I think the last place Field would want to place an actor with only a few minutes of training would be the hayride 😂 Lots of moving pieces and coordination out there! Den was chosen as Katie's home away from home for a reason haha but I'd love to come back and scare act someday!
