Made me think of my late grandfather. He was a forester in a small Lithuanian town and planted an oak tree in his backyard. Used to brew his own acorn coffee. Now his gravestone is decorated with a carving of an oak leaf.

I have an old video on art supplies but I've started using different paints/papers so I might make an updated version soon! mainly winsor & newton, schmincke and any smooth watercolour paper (usually fabriano) ! x

I'm very sure there's a good book called 'food for free'! also 'the thrifty forager' is great :)
