NICU nurse here ! Whatever milk you make & baby doesn’t drink, your nurse will label & date it for you and keep it in the fridge for when you discharge! You’ve got everything & more that you need, good luck mama!!!

Girl don’t over think it 💕 labor and birth is completely different for everyone and what you need will be different. I am on baby number 6 and what I’ve learned is honestly less is more . Take a deep breath and just enjoy the process even the painful parts lol. The one thing I would say pack is your phone or camera - battery your not gonna wanna miss these moments. The Hakka saved me . I have csection it takes days for milk to come in , but colostrum is the first milk you want to save as. Much of that as possible . The Hakka is great to latch to one breast while feeding or when baby is done feeding you can’t latch it to catch let down. It’s a milk supply saver god !!! Also pumping in between feedings will help you build up your supply and or help your milk come in faster . Stay hydrated !!! Good luck best wishes everything is beautiful.

I took my own hygiene stuff and it made me feel so much better, some hospitals offer it but some don’t. Definitely bring your own towel, that first shower after baby is born is magical and hospital towels are tiny. Baby book for foot prints if that’s something you want done! I also brought my own pillows and blanket and it makes you feel more comfortable while being away from home! Sound machine is a great idea also! Can’t wait to see miss Hartley💞

I have found after 4 kids whatever temp you are the baby is so if your hot the baby will most likely be too if your cold same thing anyway that’s the way my kids were ! It may not be the same for everybody but that was my experience ! Girl as far as yourself make sure you take lots of comfy pjs ❤️ congratulations ! Sending prayers for a safe healthy delivery! ❤️

The labor and delivery department that I work at provides moms with dermaplast, Witch Hazel pads, and a little squirt bottle for postpartum! Also we make our own ice packs in case of tears/swelling. So unless you want fancy versions of all these products, we usually have it for you!

We use one black out panel per window instead of two and it just lies flat behind our regular curtains. Same blackout effect but a softer esthetic look. Her nursery is so lovely and seems like it is in the most optimal location.

•They have little bottles for milk storage if you need it. •They have tons of baby blankets and things they can give you for spit up if you run out of burp cloths. •Bringing lots of outfits for her is fine because some babies go through clothes fast. •I live in Louisiana and my baby girl (born in July) wore short sleeve onesies when we went outside and she wore footed sleepers to sleep since the house is cooler at night. •If you think about it put some Mylicon drops for her bottle in your caddy. It could help if she’s gassy. YOU ARE GOING TO DO WONDERFUL! Prayers for you! 💘

Just an idea, definitely don’t have to listen to me but I wouldn’t use the wipe warmer🥲bc then baby will get use to the warm wipes and when your out and about they will freak out with a cold wipe. What I did was just pull out a wipe or two and let them air out for a minute and then use it. And I feel like it’s to much work to refill the warmer. Also if you use pampers wipes/diapers don’t forget to download the app to put the codes in to it to get points towards money off coupons. Praying for healthy baby/recovery! You got this 💙

Something I learned as a first time mom is dress them light, you can always add a layer or a blanket. My son was born in January with snow on the ground and he would sweat when I dresses him in winter clothes! He lives in shirtsleeve bodysuits now lol

Add a snot sucker to the bedside table just incase little one gets a cold it’s easier to get it out so it doesn’t mess with their sleep

Hey mama! I’m a mother/ baby nurse so I have all the tips for what you’ll need in the hospital! For baby: everything you have is perfect! Only thing I would add is a pair or two of socks. (You can also use these as mittens if baby likes to scratch her face). Hospital has everything else she could possibly need! For you: shower flip flops!! Long phone charger. Your own pillow (the hospital ones are sooo thin and uncomfortable). Your own towel if you care, hospital ones are super small. Hospital will have nipple cream snd nipple shield, but doesn’t hurt to bring your own! Also, it’s unlikely you will need the Hakka, but if you’re lucky and your milk comes in, it is GREAT to catch the milk leaking. The hospital will have bottles, don’t have to worry about bringing your own. They will store it in the fridge for you to either feed to baby in a bottle or syringe, or you can pack it up and take it home to put in the freezer when you’re discharged. Don’t worry about bringing deromplast or tucks pads. Hospital will provide those for you! Seriously reach out to me for any questions or advice if you’d like!! I know all the hospital secrets. Haha!

I like my curtains to be floor to ceiling! I would raise the curtain hanger to the ceiling and measure to the floor to figure out length for new ones! Amazon has some good blackout options!

I had a c section and LOVED the always diapers! I used the mesh underwear and maxi pads at the hospital, but used the diapers at home. They were so comfortable and easy to wear without the hassle of the pad sliding around.

So excited for you!! I would recommend you put the base to your carseat in after the hospital. Because you if you get into a wreck you'll have to replace it unfortunately. The hospital staff will help you put it into your car! I loved wearing the diapers lol!! I only used 10 of them so I only needed one pack!

When I had my son, my milk came in the day before we went home so I pumped and just put the milk in storage bags and the nursery put it in their refrigerator! Just put your name on it and they’ll take it for you! I’m sure all hospitals are different but just call and see if yours will hold it for you! Congratulations by the way, your home and nursery are so cute and good luck having baby H! You’re going to do amazing! ❤️

Everything is so beautiful!!! I love her room and all the outfits. They’ll give you SO much at the hospital. You mentioned nipple cream and dermaplast. Pampers diapers, wipes, anything you’ll need for your care. Anything for nursing. They are seriously so helpful in the hospital. Only thing I’ll say you MUST have if you want to nurse is the boppy! It sounds like you have everything together though! Good luck, can’t wait to see her!

I always made sure to have a good night light, snacks, extra phone charger, abdominal binder (hospital provides one but I have another preference), 2 different types of bottles, the hot/cold boob pads, a couple of my favorite towels, lip balm & mints (girl there’s always people up in your bubble) 😂

Oh & baby book, if you have one. They can put hand and foot prints in for you. I think you’re definitely prepared & better to be over prepared then not have what you need! You’re going to be an amazing mommy! If you have anyone who can, bring a hat or outfit for her to wear and then have someone bring it to the dog to get used to her scent before you come home.

Beach towel & shower stuff! The hospital may have shampoo & that but it’s not the best. But a beach towel!! Nothing makes you feel even worse than getting what feels like a hand towel to dry your body with when you still feel huge! & lots of snacks for after labor 💜

We started with the crib at 3 months! We would put our little one in the crib for naps during the day and then in the bassinet next to us at night. He started sleeping in his own crib through the night at 6 months and he was already use to being in that space and it was super easy! I know every baby is different but that really helped us with not having to worry about such a big adjustment from bassinet to crib once he was ready.

Hey Summer! From what everyone has told me and the TikTok’s I’ve seen is the hospital will give you everything you need! I have 14 weeks left and I’ve been told the hospital will give you bottles and pacis and a bunch of other stuff for your baby the only thing you really need to bring is clothes for her and all your stuff the hospital will have everything for your newborn 💗

Yes I would definitely just do short sleeve onesies bc they keep them swaddled up in the hospital 🤷🏻‍♀️ And they usually provide diapers (for mommy and baby) and they provide nipple cream. Or atleast they did with my first two babies. And in my past experience, my milk didn’t ‘drop’ til after I got home so I never needed the milk shield thing🤷🏻‍♀️ but everyone is different. But yes, the less the better. So you don’t have as much stuff to unpack and clean when u get home. The hospital typically (in my experience) provides you with all the essentials you need❤️

Bring your stroller fan! That’s the one thing I left in the car that I wished I had during labor!

Hey! I work in postpartum/NICU, most of the time they will supply you containers that you will label if your milk does come in and they will usually put it in a fridge for breast milk!

Absolutely do not forget chapstick lol. So bring your own ibuprofen or Tylenol because the hospital literally charges an arm and a leg for one pill. I wouldn't pack diapers unless you have a preference but both times I delivered they provided me with the pampers swaddlers. Also, anything that they bring you in the hospital, TAKE IT HOME. It's yours. I also brought my own pillow and I brought my boppy just to help support my arms and back while I was breast feeding. Also don't be afraid to tell anyone no. Do not be afraid to offend anyone because that is your baby! God made you her mama for a reason. Also, don't beat yourself up over anything because while motherhood is beautiful it is also hard. Just always remember to breath. And when you're in labor and pushing remember to breath! You're gonna do great. Also another tip, you can use Vaseline instead of diaper rash cream which will prevent her from getting diaper rashes because it is a moisture barrier!

I would definitely see if you can find out what all will be provided at the hospital! pretty much my nurses told me with both babies to “ask for more even if it’s not empty so you can take it with you when you go” my hospital provided diapers, wipes, dermoplast, sitz bath, mesh panties, and with my daughter we had some issuers with latching and they were quick to get me supplies for that as well! Just ask, the worse they can say is they don’t supply it or have it and if they don’t I’m sure your mom is a call away 🥰 I took some breast pads, the underwear you have, and breastfeeding friendly clothes including the my breast friend nursing pillow! Shower flops, and toiletries because that first bath is heavenly. Also don’t be afraid to ask the nurses and lactation folks for help i didn’t the first time around and I was so glad I did the second time! Also I didn’t start with my haaka till I got home 🥰

My mom told me to bring a pillow for me to sit on in the car because i would be sore and i’m so glad i did that because i felt every bump in the road. i only had a first degree tear and 1 stitch so i can’t imagine if i tore worse. but i recommend bringing a pillow or a thick blanket to sit on in the car on the way home!!!💗 Also my hospital provided diapers and wipes and my hospital was out of dermaplast so if you want some i’d get some off amazon. I used the tucks pads and lined them up on my diaper and it worked amazing. too away all my pain. Make sure to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. toiletries and stuff like that. i definitely over packed but i wish i would’ve brought my own blanket and pillow for the hospital bed. Don’t forget a long charger and quarters for the vending machines. i didn’t get to have my mom there because she had covid so no one was able to bring me food so i ate the hospital food and one night i ordered pizza. i was induced on december 22nd at 12am and then i had my son on december 23rd at 5:33am. they made me stay till christmas morning. i know this is a lot and you might not read this but no one told me anything before i gave birth. my mom had c sections and i had my son vaginally. i also recommend to not get the epidural quick because that’s why my labor took so long. i stopped dilating at a 5 for like 14 hours. so i recommend waiting till you’re a 5 or 6 to get it if you are. i got mine when i was at a 3 but everyone’s bodies are different. don’t let that scare you. mine took forever but i was only in pain for like 2 hours and pushing isn’t scary. don’t be scared. don’t let people scare you. you got this girl! if i could do it, you can!💖

Hi mama, Alabama mom here as well. I would probably only have her in Long sleeves inside. Definitely a short sleeve onesie (light colored, and loose) if y’all have to go out. It’s so hot here and outdoor exposure on extremely hot days can cause baby to overheat quickly. I have two baby girls a 2 year old and a 8 month old.
