I love how you think about and mention your viewers in your videos. Also I've been taking much better care of my skin thanks to your videos. Helps to motivate me. I have keratosis pilaris, but i'm super lazy sometimes with my skin care. My skin on my arms and legs feel so much smoother now that I'm making an effort.

I decided to try a product with 5% glycolic acid with aloe vera on my arms and was surprised how smooth and soft my skin was. I know I can't do this everyday so I'll try once a week for now. My keratosis pilaris was really bad couple years ago.

Dr. Zhivago is one of those books that you will definitely benefit from viewing the movie first. Especially if you are visual. It is one of my favorite movies. You might also enjoy Fannie Flagg's books. She wrote Fried Green Tomatoes, but the book is called Fried Green Tomatoes At The Whistle Stop Cafe.

My mom read Dr. Zhivago once, she still has the book. She used to travel to work by train (a smaller town in Belgium to Antwerp - she worked as a maritime clerk at the harbor) and got some reading in that way. All the books she read, she kept; they are in her big bookcase in the living room (doubled and tripled up in there), all hardbacks. She loves her books. These days she just reads as many newspapers as she can get. She's retired now.

I used to be OBSESSED with Dansko clogs😂. I like the idea how you can multitask with audio books but I am obsessed with my highlighter, I love to highlight (or underline) things that pop out and grab me (I even do it in eBooks), it's a schooling habit I cannot put to rest. I can’t believe you mentioned hibiscus tea. I’m not much of a tea drinker but I LOVE hibiscus tea, aka passion tea from Starbucks. I actually make my own at home with SF lemonade. Fun fact: at SB you can ask for it with “no water” so it’s double strength, dilute it yourself and you get double. Hey Dr Dray, I've really been enjoying your videos since I found them a few weeks ago. Thank you for all the good and informative content you put out . I was doing a long run outside today here in cold New England and I was wondering what you would suggest to put on your face to protect it while it's exposed to the cold air during the winter that wouldn't clog pores or cause any issues. Also, for ice cream you should try the talenti chocolate sorbetto (not the gelato which obviously isn't vegan) but the sorbetto is and fairly good macros for a really delicious vegan icecream. It's my new favorite treat!

I am so happy that I found your channel! I just love your concept on being minimal. I think skin care is so important and I have always thought that all the anti aging products out in the market place are just a hoax! I have never understood how you can put serums and oils and moisturizers on your face without having an issue. I watch some you tube women that have issues with breaking out. I want to scream.....stop putting all that crap on your face. So much skin care and then top it off with so much makeup! Keep up the great videos. ps. I love Trader Joe’s and shop there a lot, but I don’t think you’re missing anything regarding the skin care. Most of it has essential oils, and the few products that don’t aren’t that good imo. Although they have Argon oil for a good price, and also have a really affordable natural deodorant and natural toothpaste. The hand soap is okay. But I’m not a fan of the rest of it. Enjoyed the vlog as usual, you and your mom are so enjoyable to watch!

hello again, dr. dray. have you heard of the 7 'skin' method from korean skincare? they use hydrating toners instead of astringent ones, and reapply several times in a row. i have been using an aloe toner to do this method for a little less than a week now, and i can already see and feel a difference in my skin. it feels more hydrated, and plumper. my skin type is combo, but it tends to be actually dehydrated and oily at the same time. this type of toner really seems to address the hydration issue, which seemed an impossible issue to impact, because my skin seemed to repel moisture instead of absorb it. i was first introduced to asian skincare through your foray into the japanese brand hada labo, so i just wanted to stop by and thank you for opening up the rabbit hole for me. my skin thanks you!

The vegan halo tops are pretty good. I like the cinnamon flavored one because it has a nice creamy texture. I used to be the same way with reading books. I used to need it in my hands to really get into them until I started listening to podcasts. Podcasts by Radiolab specifically, which heavily cover a social topic, made me a closer listener and now audio books are more cognitively receptive for me. I'm now comfortable as a visual and auditory reader.

I was wondering if you have a video on adapalene vs. tretinoin? Love your videos, they are very informative. I love how you break down all the myths that we hear on a daily basis. I have very sensitive acne prone skin and very mild rosacea, still haven't found a moisturizer that my sensitive skin doesn't freak out with 😕. Loved vanicream at first but had to stop I was getting breakouts on my forehead and other areas where I usually don't break out.

Halo Birthday Cake wasn't bad. My new dermatologist said he wasn't aware that accutane was a cancer prevention drug. He was very happy with the state of my skin barrier and I will be starting on 45mg of accutane next month. Whole Foods is grossly expensive. I used to spend tons of money there.

Hi Andrea! I discovered your channel yesterday and am loving your videos! I do not know if you have posted any videos on how to deal with nasolabial folds or the frown lines, but would love to hear your opinion on the available options. Are the fillers and botox the only options? Also I would be interested if you make videos on how to maintain healthy scalp. I have stopped using commercial shampoos because of the shedding it (and most likely stress) caused me. For any of the readers here, here are also a few of my personal observations on products you have mentioned which I have been using. I have combination skin: Ashwagandha and various other ayurvedic herbs give me pimples. Until a couple of days ago, I used Hada Labo hyaluronic acid lotion, but I started to suspect that it is the product that regularly gives me a tiny pimple here and there, and I stopped using it. I will try it again with your suggestion to put it in wet face. I am still looking for UV protection that works for my my combination skin. I already have two of the ones you recommend (Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++ and Elta UV Clear SPF 46), but as soon as I put even the tiniest amount on my forehead, the pores, especially on my forehead, look enormous. My skin seems to love the cheap snail cream and the expensive SKI II essence.

I also love to time shopping trips to match up with big sports events. It's great to have the whole store to yourself! I tried reading War and Peace once but got lost on the Cast of Characters page at the beginning, LOL. Dostoevsky's characters are easier to keep track of, but his stories are very philosophical and serious. Not lighthearted but will give you lots to think about.

I’ve been getting in the habit of applying sunscreen but I haven’t noticed I have been gettin acne. Is this common? At the moment I have stopped applying sunscreen and my skin has begun to clear up again.

hard to say, but sunscreen is important and as it helps reduce the chances that acne will heal with discoloration; i find that the neutrogena clear face sunscreen is a good one for acne-prone people, as is elta md uv sport

For acne, Is it better to use a strong retinoid as my only skincare active product (eg just tazorac) or use a weaker type of retinoid product like differin along with a bha wash and BP? If I just use the tazorac I can't use anything else because of irritation.

Dr. Dray, I have to agree with you on the NY bagel. My favourite spot was Essa Bagel. Oddly enough, a Pittsburgh friend (her company is called Relish www.relishpittsburgh.com/ ) has created an everything bagel that nearly made me weep with joy. It brought me back to my Essa Bagel experiences!
