I'm in Houston too. We got we got a real hurricane this time. Fortunately, I was ready. My power was out for only 14 hours...so grateful. I used EcoFlow mid-sized power stations to charge my portable devices & to run a USB fan/light when the power was out. As soon as my power came back on, I plugged it up to recharge it. It's early in the hurricane season. We don't normally get storms until late August/early September. We will probably get another one this year. Get prepared y'all.
You were so right about the cooperations...They don't give a dog on! I was in the Houston area going thru right along with you and too many others.. whew you made the nest of the down time and brought us some entertainment.. Luv that for you and for us. I was at the part about the "apology" and I was dying lmbo..
The apology was hilarious LOL I'll be doing the same thing like girl who I need to apologize to cuz I'm sorry Lord😂😂😂 I'm glad you're okay I know this was tough but God was definitely still on your side. Love you girl❤❤❤
Hello Rochelle! My heart went out to all Houston's and other areas lost power in this heatwave. You handle it to gracefully. I enjoyed you Vlogging your experience. I might of slept on a floater in the pool. Glad you safe😍🙏
Hello my friend, the hurricane really did hit Houston harder than here. I hope things are better now. That storm was nothing nice... Does not make since that it is taking so long to get the lights back on in Houston. Stay strong my sista. Keep up the love. 🥰
I am new to Houston only been here for two months. I started a new job and they made us drive to work in a freakin Tropical Storm. I spoke up about it and asked why only the Employees were required to show up and not Management. I was told to mind my business and that the Company dictates my life bcuz they pay me. When I didn’t back down they let me go. It is In humane to treat people like this.
@@rochelleshaunelle6294 Yes, it’s extremely sad that they’re Companies out here operating this way. So when you mention this in your vlog I was like omg this just happened to me last week. I thought it may have been just that Company that operates that way. It’s really disappointing to hear that it’s common for other Corporations to do the same,
@@lifewithshamikashonte118 I am late watching this video. But they have emergency unemployment due to the Hurricane issue and if you lost your job because of it. You may have already signed up for it. But just letting you know. Also, you can report them to the EEOC because no job should have you risking your life just to be there. May be able to file a lawsuit against them
Sorry Rochelle, that you’re going through what you’re going through. Just know that it’ll get better. Take time out for yourself and relax for a day or two. You deserve it 😊
Thanks for still pushing through and vlogging. A lot of people don’t know how it is when a hurricane hit and you’re out of your resources. I live in Louisiana so I know the struggle. ❤
Hi Rochelle and Bombshells 😊 Breezy Beryl was blowing everything around. Thankful you’re safe. My niece, an upcoming Freshman at TSU had to discard all of her food. The only power we had in our hotel was in the hallway and lobby area. Our portable phone chargers were beneficial. Glad that is over. 💛
Yeah. I without power for 4 days. I lost lots of food, my back fence is broken. My trampoline flew in my neighbor back yard. Please call FEMA. I got approved for $750. It's 1 per household
So sad that companies no longer value human safety. With al that Texas is dealing with one storm after another! What do they expect people to do? Rochelle, I'm glad you are ok, and my family in TX. 😂😂😂 Thank God for Popeyes and Wing stop 😂😂 Alaso, you can get a Solar power Bank to charge your phone etc. from Amazon. I have 4 of them. Lmao, Rochelle your apology got me cracking up 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 ❤ Ramona
I live in KY and a couple years ago we had a bad ice storm and I lost power. My employer still had me come into work 🙄 funny thing is my manager and her favorite employ had power so it was no big deal to them.
Hi Roc hope and praying things are better for Houston at this time. Love your vlogs girl. You be having me so tickled🤣 I just love you🥰. On another note I was told when you crave celery that it could be a sign of iron deficiency anemia or low potassium which can also cause fatigue and tiredness. I would have some bloodwork done just to check things out. Love you girl anticipating the next vlog❤️❤️🥰
Why didn’t they put up all the chairs and stuff I live in Florida and you know from June to December is hurricane season. We always put everything up before a storm comes. That’s not good that stuff could projectile and hurt somebody.😮😢🎶💋
This is Houston...we just try to survive...thank God... because some people didn't.. all my family is here..Vote Abbott and Cruz out...Vote blue!!! Prayers going up to all 🙏💙
Im not a gurl 🙃 but since it appears you are not native to houston i would like to offer some tips to survive storms . 1. Get a bbq pit so you can cook any meat you have in the fridge so it doesnt go to waste ( thats what the people you saw were doing smoked meat keeps longer without a fridge . 2. Have a ice chest and at least two bags of ice in your freezer to put in the ice chest to keep perishables for a couple of days . 3. Buy a small powerbank to keep your phone charged and maybe a fan . 4. During any disaster you can call 211 to find places you can go and spend most of the day in the cool and can charge your phone. They will also have snacks and water . Red cross opened shelters too where you didnt have to leave until your power came back on which is where i was . They provided hot meals and a cot to sleep on until you left . 5. Always keep food like trail mix and other stuff that u dont have to cook or need to refrigerate to snack on as well as fruits and nuts too. Never buy more than one week of food to avoid waste . 6. Never let your boss bully you into going to work in a storm ,it is easy to get stuck or even die if you get caught in deep water and your boss wont care at all . They cant fire you for that and if they do they will have to give you unemployment . Just tell them its flooded and you cant leave the house . I enjoyed your vlog about the storm and you have a pleasant voice . By all the locations you mentioned im thinking you in southwest houston where i live .
Going through any form of devastation is horrible. However, I learned that corporations don't give one red care abt you and/or your family. Unfortunately, you have to make a corporate decision to do what's best for you and/or your family. Remember, your worth, your value, and your life. If you trust and believe in God, he will ensure your needs are met every time. This is not what I heard, but what I know.
That is so funny that you say that about married men because when I was in Jamaica, I never notice it but my girlfriend and her husband noticed it they was like girl you be having these men bout to die. trying to look at you on the low really quick before they wives notices, and I always say men do not pay attention to me, or approach me and my friends husband is like no they’re paying attention you just don’t catch them😂🎶💋
Hi Rochelle Thanks for the video and I enjoy everything was nice and you have me weak cracking up laughing 😂😂 and it is the men's and I wouldn't lie to you baby I laughing to bad and you look great sorry about the hurricane it had you tired and you work hard and I am laughing with the pool episode 6 wow 😲 do have a good day God continue to bless you and your family Fans tumbs up the video subscribe share video thanks fans God bless you all bye 🌞😁🤣💥🌸🌟🌞🫶✨💐👋
How would somebody know to wake up on time with no power? No alarm? Don't know wtf time it is. And what if u got kids at home with no power? Just leave em to fend for themselves so u can clock in? I bet tf not
Yoooooo this is the smartest thing I’ve heard this year.. genius idea. I’ll do this the next time because I know it’s going to happen again.. thank you so much ❤️❤️
