i suggest read the book. the arena was more of a backdrop then a focus within the book. also the point is to show how shallow fascism is within society. i mean by the time the story starts the capitol is trying to keep vigor and animosity alive between the districts, but is failing. its not until snow, who desperately wants to prove himself, do the hunger games change in any real way. also going back to twelve has nuance it demonstrates why snow despised twelve so much
I know this is only going to matter to me, but Snow's first name is a reference to Coriolanus , the title of and the main character of a tragedy by William Shakespeare, it's not a made up name.
No wonder he became a villain. I mean when you have a name that sounds so much like certain Oral Activities, I could imagine him getting teased like hell in school. 😉😂🤣 Anyways, your video really stood out while I was taking a break between games. I subscribe to a lot of wrestling RU-vid channels, and your video not having CM Punk in the thumbnail made it stand out, so clicked it. Thank you for this, did enjoy it.
I loved every single thing about this movie. The acting, the sets, the fighting, the drama, the music - all of it was two and a half hours of nonstop chills.
You know what I think would've been cheap, dumb and a bit silly but better as an overall plot? If we were following just another Hunger Games player, but they win by lastly killing Rachel's character and it's revealed that he's not horrified by the violence or gross spectacle and at the end of the film he names himself after some tyrant as Coriolanus Snow. that way you don't have the prequel problem of "oh he's gonna be a villain"
thats not the point of the book or even the series for that matter. its about fascism and what makes it rise and fall and how incompetence is rewarded instead of actual intelligence. dont mistake what your enemy does as intelligent if it can be explained as incompetence. it also displays how these systems reward cheaters and underhanded tactics to get on top. those with shaky or no morals move up in these systems and creates a hollowness of superiorty and this is just the basics to the nuance. what you want is more cartoony without any susbstance
The Snow from the movie is way more sympathetic, the Snow from the book is an ass-hole, I am by chapter two and I really seem unlikable, it seems like those spoiled rich kids from old money that lose everything but not lose his sense of privilege, I already wondering how selfish, ruthless he would capable to be, in the movie he seems acting by impulse, but in the books at least for now, he being deliberate.
Okay, Smeghead. Christmas is coming and I know you’re about to film a Christmas episode. Please, PLEASE let it be TOYS, the Robin Williams disasterpiece 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I never got into The Hunger Games because of its title, the silly names of the characters, the setting, the messaging, and I'm not the target audience anyway. Various videos showing how Panem doesn't work as a believable country further killed my interest.
Hard to say, Her problem is that she's extremely entitled for someone who's fairly new to acting and hasn't really been in any major hits. All her movies that's she's been in so far have either bombed or been fairly middling. She would have to change how people perceive her and that won't happen with her current attitude.
