I took a trip to Dhobi Ghat on Mumbai's famous local train network, it was surprisingly easy and efficient. I needed to get my laundry done so figured Dhobi Ghat was the perfect place to get it washed and go on an adventure.
Mahalaxmi Dhobi Ghat is an open air laundry place in Mumbai, India. The washers, known as dhobis, work in the open to clean clothes and linens from Mumbai's hotels and hospitals. It was constructed in 1890. Dhobi Ghat garnered a Guinness Book of World Records entry under ‘most people hand-washing clothes at a single location’ in 2011.

Hi guys, you may be wondering how i was able to carry on filming. Everything has a price in India! It ended up being nearly $20 to film in there (he wanted me to pay $40) but I paid up just to get the video for you guys! It was also my first day here so I wasn’t confident enough to argue much.

I miss those fun silly days growing up in Mumbai like these kids. Bunking (skipping classes) hanging out with my friends during college days doing random stuff, laughing till our bellies hurt. Eating street food all day going to different places in those local trains hanging out around marine drive. Going home late, doing it again the next day. All so innocent harmless fun young days where we felt like we rule the streets. If I could, I would tell these kids this is what happiness is growing up in this beautiful city with its wonderful people. Cherish it while it lasts. Because tomorrow it’s just more jobs to do, more bosses to please, wife and kids to take care of and all these friends in different countries and cities.

$20 for Washing your clothes and filming it ? Outrageous !!! I believe you could stay in a Decent Hotel for 2 Whole days in most places in India for that much money (Not sure about Mumbai though, Heard Mumbai is expensive).
@sarojagrawal6729
@sarojagrawal6729 2 года назад
$20 for 2 nights is impossible in a decent hotel anywhere in India. $20 for 1 night you can get decent hotel in tier 2 cities. In Mumbai, decent hotel will cost about twice or thrice as much.

Even in tier 3 cities staying in $20 for 2 days is not possible. Forget about mumbai.

Harry few years back People use to train in the top of the train due to over crowded compartments. It's very risky because of people falling and high current of 25000 volts ⚡️

At some point in the video, u are comparing Sri Lankan laundry prices with Indian which made me feel bad cause obviously the circumstances aren't the same in both countries plus u still got overcharged even in India. No offense um just expressing my opinion. Stay blessed Harry Machang! Love from Sri Lanka

You said in Sri Lanka they asked you $25 to wash your cloths. Its not a hand wash and its for dry clean and also to Iron for those cloths. Hear they charged 1500 indian rupees just for hand wash and air dry. ( No iron) 1500 indian rupees= 20 US dollars. its nor cheep brother.
