I take the tips off my needles, screw on stops and put the needles in the pocket of my handbag along with a few pens. I've never had a problem. Once I get through security, I screw the tips back on. Some people take wood tips on a plane but I prefer metal.

I always travel with wooden circular and have never had a problem. Knitting needles are permitted items for airlines.

I've been knitting for years but only just discovered sock knitting and I'm sold! I've learned on crazy sock ladys vanilla sock pattern and got the hang of this over several attempts. I've got 'find the joy' but found the cable a little tricky (arthritis) so I'll come back to those but I really want a go at the heel toe dosey do ones for my xmas stripy yarn. So - the point of all this ramble...I think I'll join you in a year of crazy sock lady patterns! Good idea xx

Enjoy your weekend away! Look forward to seeng what you have been up to. Love your plan of a year of Crazy Sock Lady sock knitting. I have soooo many things I want to knit in 2024, but one of the things I have been thinking of is a "socks of the month" using some of the sock sets I have accumulated.... thinking now at least some of them will be Crazy Sock Lady patterns 😄

I am with you on It's a Wonderful Life. I only like two scenes in that movie, when the folks at the bank don't take out all of their movie, to save the bank. and the scene when nearly everyone in town comes on Christmas to be community and help. Otherwise I just hate the greed and meanness of the banker/ slum lord.

Enjoy your journey…. And also, have you looked into magnesium levels re: headaches? My daughter suffers from migraines and does better when she has good magnesium levels. She also works with a medically trained massage therapist. Just thought I’d share. Thank you for Vlogmas! Merry Christmas from NY!

I’m sorry if I was the one who recommended the Christmas story that you did not enjoy. I think you might really have to be an American to understand all the innuendo from that decade in America!
