A few years ago my daughter treated me to a trip to Scotland. Greyfrier's was one spot I really wanted to see and I spent a lovely several hours walking about the Kirk yard and the neighborhood and having a pint in the pub. I am from North Carolina in the US so this was quite a trip for us. I love your vlogs, so peaceful. Have wonderful holidays.

Wow it looks an amazing place you stayed in, I love The Greyfriars Bobby film. I also love visiting graveyards when we are on holiday I just find them fascinating. The sock looks wonderful ❤

Edinburgh is so worth a visit. We live about 45 mins drive away and it is a great place for a day out. Lovely galleries, shops, buildings and history.A couple of yarn shops but we do miss the Edinburgh yarn festival…… ah well. I can recommend The Castle, Mary King’s close, Camera Oscura, Victoria Street (Home to Harry Potter shop) and just walking around exploring the Royal Mile. For those historians amongst you you can see the exact place Rizzio was dragged off in Holyrood Palace in the time of Mary Queen of Scots!

Love Edinburgh. Such an interesting and entertaining city. Glad you had time to relax. Not sure about DK socks being first timer makes. I made some years ago and my feet wouldn’t fit in any of my shoes or boots comfortably and it put me off until recently when I’ve gone back to 4ply.

Hi Kate So glad you enjoyed your Edinburg break. I was watching the royal variety performance at the London palladium last night on TV. I was sure I spotted a lookalike of you and your husband (in a bow tie) in the audience when Rosie Jones was on. We all have doubles😂🌲💚
