Hey Ciara, I suggest you pick up a few children's classics like "the night before Christmas" and "the little prince" to help you achieve your reading goal this December. You’ll have to pick up some graphic novels or children’s holiday picture books to meet your goal. There are some awesome and festive children’s books like The Christmas Owl, The Christmas Witch, Ten Ways to Hear Snow, etc.

100% agree with what you were saying about the little things. I'm so much more of a little event person than a big event person, and there is so much in Anne of Green Gables and Anne With an E that teaches people how to appreciate the beauty around you rather than always wishing for what comes next.

I've read Anne of Green Gables for the first time in August 2021, in the time interval between my paternal grandmother and one of my maternal great-grandmothers dying. I was in a very gloomy state of mind, especially because I couldn't attend none of the funerals for not being vaccinated against covid yet at that time. So, Anne really helped me to cheer up and I will always be grateful to her and L. M. Montgomery for it.

Also around 0°C in Berlin, a little snow here and there ❄️ so christmassy! The perfect weather to sit inside with a cup of tea, Lebkuchen and watch your vlogmas 🎄

I just love “Anne with an E” and “Anne of Green Gables” book. I have read all the books in the Anne series, but the first one is by far the best! ❤️

New here and excited to watch more! L.M Montgomery is my all time fave. Reading her books feels like going home. I’m still salty Anne with an E was cancelled…My fave in the Anne book series was Anne’s House of Dreams. Blue Castle has some really wonderful winter descriptions.

I am sort of calmed down now. This year doesn't seemed to be a good reading year for anyone! I changed my goodreads goal for the 2nd time yesterday, as optimistic as I was to reach a goal of 80 books like last year, I lowered the amount of book to 50 and now to 35. Let's see if I'll make it through... about 6 books till the end of the year. Just so I at least reached that one goal. So, don't worry about not getting to the planned number of read books this year. You're not alone :D

I'm really enjoying watching your vlogmas videos! And since you had that Bird&Blend tea calendar last year, I got it for this year and have been really enjoying almost all of the tea flavours in it. Here in Finland it's been about 5-15 minus degrees celsius and quit snowy. Some would call it even snow-stormy but I think it's just the basic Finnish winter weather haha :D

love the tea taste every video and just saw bird and blend offer a tea tasting club that you can get monthly and thought of you

I read Anne of Green Gables for the first time a few years ago and loved it too. The first word that came to mind after reading it was ‘joyous’. I also loved the descriptions of nature - it made me want to live on Prince Edward Island! When you were describing how to be more like Anne it sounded a lot like mindfulness. Anne is such a lovely character and a strong role model for girls. I read my first Hardy recently, The Mayor of Casterbridge, and was also disappointed. I don’t like his writing style and found it very dull and rambling.

We’re on the south coast of england - Only 20 mins from Brighton and a 10 min walk from the sea so its reallly cold here at the moment , but we have downs the other side so I am grateful to live in such a lovely place . In our house we all have water bottles and blankets everywhere lol my daughter who’s 14 has her electric blanket on all the time lol £’s £’s £’s 😅 Bird and Blend have a vegan only cafe and manufacturing place 10 mins from my house , nice to pop in for a chai now and then . I have been reading all of Elizabeth Gaskell and George Eliot for my classics, alternating between the two and I love them both so much. They have surpassed Jane Austen which I never thought would happen. Lucy Maud Montgomery has written other delightful series and standalones after Anne, I have been reading her all my life, she is in my soul at this point.

Where I live in Ohio it was been cold, rainy and very foggy. I don't really like tea but the Irish cream sounds so good and i love watching you open the advent calender ❤️💚

Your tea advent calendar brings me so much joy! I also love Anne of Green Gables. I have only read the first one, and recently my mother gave me my late grandmother’s 4 book set of Anne books. I think I will start the second one after being inspired by you! 📚😊 Great vlog!

Cold windy rainy weather lately here in the north east of Italy

Oh, don’t give up on my man Thomas yet! I think it’s just the fact that you picked what is probably his darkest work, haha! And it’s definitely not very festive at all. But I think he’s got an unparallelled sensitivity for a man of his time, so I think you should try Far form the Madding Crowd, or even some of his poems if that sounds good to you (his poems are probably my favourite thing of his). Tess of the D’Urbervilles (just as Jude the Obscure) is just terribly depressing lol!

It's 28 C where I am. I live in a subtropical climate, but it's still warmer than average.

You might try Kurt Vonnegut. I think it would be possible to read five of his novels in five days. And many of them are four-five star reads. Good luck, and Happy Holidays!

Over here in San Antonio TX it’s sometimes cold in the mornings but hot in the afternoons. However today it’s very sunny‼️ Irish cream sounds yummy‼️ I myself drink more tea than coffee, because I have a sweet 🦷‼️Chocolate 🍊 bunt cake 😋‼️ I myself am a sing, write, and act. Yay Christmas shopping‼️Surprise 📦‼️ 🍕 🍟😋‼️Salted caramel lebkuchen tea 😋‼️ Ps: I almost forgot my mom got a Jam advent 📅 ‼️Today I plan to finish the summer/autumn chapter in Little Women and hopefully I’ll finish the winter chapters by Christmas. I’m almost done with Where We Go from Here, hopefully I’ll be able to finish by Friday‼️ Last but not I got 5 chapters to and 56 pages to in The Holiday Swap which makes me so happy‼️

Tess of the d'Ubervilles is one dark and bleak book and really not fitting into the Christmas spirit. I'd probably read Far from the Madding Crowd first if you wanted to get into Hardy and not fall into depression. Also stay away from Jude the Obscure... Anne should cheer you up soon enough though. :) love your vlogs
