VLOGMAS DAY 3: rejection sucks... the truth ab my post grad job search frustrations 

Hey girl, I’m like 3 years older than you but I know that feeling of rejection. When I graduated back in December 2020, I didn’t get my first big girl job offer until like November 2021. Don’t compare your timeline to someone else’s. Just keep pushing through and your time will come. Wishing you so much luck and you’ll get your dream job soon💕

Idk if this will help but I have been where you are! I kept getting the same positive feedback but losing out to others which really started to make no sense to me. But then I finally got a job and it has been 100% the right one for me. I look back now and I am so happy I am where I am and it happened when it did.

Hey Lexi 🫶🏾 sending you a lot of love around your job search. This market sucks for recent grads and I really relate to your perspective especially with distancing myself from certain friends who just don’t get it. I’m in between jobs and using every network, every tip/piece of advice being offered, etc and still end up on the losing end of the stick. It’s hard to think about the reality of why we aren’t chosen especially after good feedback on application materials and interviews. Often times it comes down to things we can’t control and go unspoken for legal purposes like personality, skin tone (often masked as “we found a better fit”), or identity politics around gender and sexuality. Each opportunity that denies me is just another one that missed out on the gifts, talents, skills, and passions that I bring to the table. The same goes for you too. Keep going and thank you for documenting this part of your life. It’s not pretty but it is our reality. 🥺❤️

Loved the video! Take the rejection as a blessing in disguise! This time last year, I got a job opportunity that was rescinded and by March of this year, I got my current job in PR ( which I love and thrive in SO MUCH better than the other job offer). I say this to say; take your time in the process, I know it's exhausting and tough, especially during this season, but keep on going, I am sure something amazing will come your way 💛

Hang in there!!! I didn’t get my offer after May 22 grad until March 23. It’s hard not to compare yourself when so many LU students get “awesome” jobs. Try not to compare yourself to others and trust that rejections are redirection and nothing to take personally. Someone will love your personal brand and bring you on to their team. This time at home is priceless, cherish the time with family and remember that you are special. Continue to be yourself and an opportunity that aligns with who you are will come soon!! I believe in you, you’re doing amazing
