The singer Vishal actually has a Rock band called Pentagram since 90s. Pretty cool.

Beth Roars Vishal Dadlani is the most versatile singer in Bollywood. He can blend in just about any type of song and you won't realize it. He is also a extremely productive composer, always scoring modern hits that you can listen to the song many years later and still feel like grooving to it. It will be a real shame to lose an industry gem like him. He also fronts a band called Pentagram.

This is my favorite one, it's about Lord Shiva. Thanks for showing interest in this and it's good to know your views about it. Sonu kakkar's voice in this is brilliant. If you understand Indian classical music, then probably you will experience Bliss in this.

The song is about the ultimate god of god "Shiva" the ultimate destroyer...This song is about praising Shiva not out of fear but out of love...singer is showing love towards him as his friend. Shiva is really cool god

It is neither Shiva nor any named god. It talks about the ultimate supreme deity i.e parmatma.

@@sentinelisland3884 Yes. I did not notice the word damru. May be it is for shiva. But, shiva is a destroyer and lines like 'Tu chalata hai jeevan ka mela' may indicate vishnu since he is the caretaker. So I am of the opinion that the writer considers all of them as a single identity which I call Parmatma.

I love how different their style of singing/playing is. I'm a total noob, but are they using more half/quart notes than we usually do in more western music? Also, Sonu Kakkar's _speed_ of tone changes etc was by far the most impressive part of the whole song in my opinion. More, please! :)

Yeah Carnatic and Hindustani singing emphasize precision and clarity over everything. And we use WAY more half and quarter notes. :P If you really want a lesson in change of pace you should watch Rang by Rahat and Amjad Sabri - another Coke Studio production.

That intro, lol! At some point you have to make an outtake video. Anyhoo, that was phenomenal, I really enjoyed it! I know you're focused on the vocals but I loved the band as well. Very cool arrangement all around. Even a cry baby pedal. I'm not sure what to even try to call all those styles mixed up in there but it sounds awesome!

Sheena is absolutely amazing in describing whatever is going on. I love her smile and watch every facial expressions that she makes whiles listening to this. This is one of my favourite songs and listening to this with Sheena makes this song so much beautiful just like her. I did watch Sheena sing here on RU-vid and my my she's got really beautiful voice. Some fun fact- Vishal Dadlani used to be a lead singer for a metal rock group called Pentagram. He used to kill the rock scene in his previous life. The gruffness elegant comes from his previous experience. He is currently produced music for Bollywood

Clinton Cerejo did what even Maestro ARR couldn't do - created the signature Coke Studio fusion for India. Only Clinton could match Coke Studio Pakistan (which is the benchmark for this format).

It's just that when a song is sung from heart and you feel it technicalities doesn't matter. As you can see the Indian origin lady is emphasizing more on spiritual part and English lady is emphasizing more on technicalities. Obviously, English lady doesn't know what it is about but she isn't able to feel the song rather she is listening to the song.

madaari(s) are street performers with pet monkey who makes the monkeys do different types of tricks for the crowd, the monkey is called "jamura", basically the song references higher power as madaari and us humans as "jamura " who acts on his will
