FINALLY, a great reaction from someone from Hawaiʻi, and a qualified voice teacher at that. So good to hear you get "chicken skin" like us locals - Katyʻs "chill bumps" just doesnʻt do it for me. Have you done reactions to Iamʻs other songs on American Idol? I have to check it out.

Looking back at what Lionel said I think what he meant to say was that Iam Tongi is the first contestant from Hawai’i to make it to Aulani and perform there. At least that’s how I took it. Cause Aulani was built in 2011 and I think they started filming idol at the resort maybe around 2016?

Yeah Iam sounds like IZ... he should cover 'In Dis Life' dedicate it to his dad, for sure that will be an awesome cover for him & a tear jerker... Btw, Iam is NOT the first Hawaii contestant to make it into the Finals.. Camile Velasco was Top 9, and Jasmine Trias was Top 2, on Idol Season 2..

I think he meant that performed at Aulani in Hawaii. Jasmine Trias had gone far too, but didn't perform at the Disney resort because it wasn't used for Idol then.

People need to know that a contestant from night two was twerking on stage and just was not American Idol worthy. She's from way out of the country and was already popular over there and should not be on this show especially owned by Disney. She dances like she's in a strip club.
