You missed that Dimash directed the video as well as collaborating with the music and giving his incredible vocal prowess to this gorgeoys song. The first glimpse of his new fully Kazakh album which will be released soon. I can't wait it promises to be absolutely amazing. This song tells of our warlike past and present and pleads for peace and love to prevail over it. Dimash is very peace loving and anti war and this sums up his inner turmoil over it. Its a prayer for not only his homeland of Kazakhstan but for his homeland of the entire planet. Ending on that major chord and coming in with the colourful dawn over the mountain is a sure sign of the hope he has for humanity. Thank you for a very intricate evaluation of the video and your commentary. As I see this piece, the video is an homage to the history and beauty of Kazakhstan. However, in showing love for his homeland, Dimash is also praying for the whole world! He abandons his usual vocal acrobatics as the cry in his voice pleads for peace, love and understanding. Shot in black and gray (except for the fire and blood) there is a message of hope as a colorful day is revealed over the mountains at the end. The world pandemic is also part of the theme. Several friends and one of his beloved music teachers died from covid-19. Perhaps the piano player falling into the water represents this loss?

Lady, this video was filmed as a director by Dimash himself, at the beginning there were shots from the epic film about the struggle of Kazakhs "Tomaris". An instrument played with a bow by a musician, an ancient Kazakh instrument "kobyz". There is a lot of symbolism in the video, you noticed that the clip is almost black and white and only blood and fire were colored until the end of the video. It may be interesting for you to know that this instrument - kyl-kobyz - is one of the oldest (if not the oldest) bowed instrument. What makes the sound so unique is the strings - they are horsehair strings! Central Asia is a birthplace of a bow. The most ancient bow was found in what is now modern Turkmenistan. If u notice,, he didnt touch his classical operatic notes. Well,, he didnt make it obvious anyways. I think, for this song atleast, he wanted to make it as worldy neutral as possible. No classical opera, no western or eastern runs, no dimash-only vocal agility. Its one of his songs where he made it accesssible for everyone to listen to, and appreciate the message it was trying to deliver. N vocally, yes, its one of his tamer songs. Basically, anyone with a decent singing background can pull this off. And in a way, thats also one way to make it worldy neutral as possible: anyone can try n sing this song. The lyrics is about kazakhstan, i think, but they arranged it so that everyone can relate to it. Lyrically, musically, and vocally neutral. Just a simple message asking for peace... What he did in this song was, from what i can see and hear, a kazakhstani man’s crying prayer for humanity and the world, from kazakhstan’s perspective. Truly, a beautiful song for the world and humanity,

It's not a cry, it's a whistle from his near closed vocal cords. Impossible to do live, it requires an extremely sensitive mic, and also removal of the other sounds. Only studio production can achieve this.

Musically, it’s started from minor, stays in minor with grey landscape, then ended in major as visualised by the greenery over the grey rock. It’s also started from the past, through the present, and then at the end it’s a better future. Very heavily symbolic, its visual is a work of arts. The music is a praying for the suffering of the world. The instrument and Dimash voice blended in and out together without one overtook another. Dimash was crying without crying, his voice is just on the edge of his breath, always on the precipice to quietness. Excellent breath control throughout.
