agree, they do work very well together and she is sooo beautiful, and of course Dimash is so handsome...and with these outfits they could walk down the "aisle"!! I must also say this isn't the first time seeing this, BUT, the idea of the videos on top of one another was brilliant of YOU. I like watching skating, BUT, when Dimash performs I want to watch HIM...& Aida!!!!

У Димаша гуттаперчивый голос, он приспосабливает свой уникальный голос к голосу каждого певца, с которым выступает вместе. Это особенно заметно, когда было трио: Димаш, Аида и Лара, ведь у Аиды и Лары совершенно разные голоса и Димаш исполняя дуэт с начала с одной, потом с другой, идеально и гармонично подстраивает свой голос под их голоса. А еще я заметила, что в этом дуэте по-особенному трогает и волнует моё сердце, душу частое вибрато Аиды. Тогда я решила исследовать все её выступления, в том числе с другими певцами, но такого отклика не нашла. Потому пришла к выводу, что рядом с Димашем и другие звёзды становятся ярче, то есть всепроникающий голос Димаша помогает преодолеть препятствия к нашим душам голосам других певцов . Браво и низкий поклон Великому Артисту! А Вам спасибо за Ваши интересные и искренние реакции!

Agreed - her voice is ravishing! Dimash is amazing, of course, but in this repertoire they are perfectly matched. I think people would find it instructive to see the original performance with the late, great Russian baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky, paired with Sumi Jo, to get some perspective on what a true operatic baritone brings to the piece, particularly in terms of characterisation. It is also a really thrilling composition by Maestro Krutoy.

Thank you for doing this analysis, Elizabeth. It's probably my favorite duet that Dimash has done. Like you, I'm captivated by the similarity of their tone qualities, especially when they sing unison notes. That, combined with their matching vibratos, creates harmonics I don't think I've ever heard before. Then, when they split their harmonies and rejoin on unison notes, I get chills. I don't think I've heard two voices that were better matched! They also have a similar physical beauty, like they could be a royal brother and sister in a classic fairy tale. A remarkable pairing! You're right about Igor being so happy. I read a comment from him about the beauty of this pairing, where he said "They're so aesthetic!", followed by a string of heart-eyes emojis, like a delighted child. I hope we get to see them sing together again someday.

Спасибо за реакцию. Она также прекрасна, как и выступление Димаша и Аиды. Аида всегда была оперной певицей, а Димаш молод и он в поиске пения для своего диапазона. Но он универсален может петь как оперной техникой так и другими техниками исполнения. Смотрю все ваши реакции на исполнение Димаша. Вы умеете откровенно восхищатся прекрасным и безупречным исполнением артиста. Спасибо за честность и эмоции!!!

I haven't listened to Dimash enough to have an informed opinion. However, Aida has that clear bell like quality that gives me goosebumps. My favorite soprano since Joan Sutherland. Wouldn't it be a treat to see this live & aren't we lucky that we can at least see a recording!

The one thing to know about Dimash is: He’s classically trained, but does not work as an opera singer. And even though his music is often partially operatic as well, he does not practice this style exclusively. Knowing this - and considering how little time he must have had to practice this song - he is able to sing with one of the best sopranos in the world and still shine. And Aida does not seem to hold back. Her voice is as beautiful as expected! ❤ To me it is no wonder, that he is widely considered as the best singer in the world. I‘m sure there are a few singers that can surpass him in their own specialty in certain ranges. Opera singers must know more about this. But there is no one else that has such a mastery of so many different techniques and ranges as he does - with such a perfect control in all of them. 😊

Aida and Dimash match each other so well. both with exquisite rich tones, perfect pitch, and even their vibrato synchs in such a pleasant way. It's almost unfair that they are also both physically gorgeous, in both look and expression. Also, kudos to Igor and the entire production staff, musicians and skaters....what a wonderful event that must have been...

Totally loved your reaction and totally agree on their voices. I have seen this one a few times and the chemistry out there is amazing. You could actually believe they were in love the way the song was projected and no voice over threw the other, it just blended so amazingly. This song makes me want to run outside and f rollick in the snow with a princess like you see in a Disney movie - lol.

I'm watching this after watching a video of the Dec. 2019 concert that Dimash gave in New York, and all I can think about is: diversity. The two performances are completely different. On stage in NY he was giving a performance worthy of MJ or Prince. Dimash has so many musical sides, and he could very well excel in just any one of them, but it is obvious that he is an explorer and loves trying new things. And he has the musical ability and talent to have the audience eating out of his hand no matter what he does!

I subscribed to your channel because of Dimash. I have grown to love your approach to singers not only as performers but as people. I loved your interview with Morgan James because you were superb in your approach to her art. At any rate, I was bold enough to post this particular performance on my own FB page and introduced it with a question: Where on this continent is such art being created? Igor is brilliant and finds new and creative ways in which to integrate East and West, Old and New, Earthly and Heavenly. I am so grateful for his mentoring relationship with Dimash and for his relationships with artists like Aida and Lara. This performance integrates so many elements of true art in order to create a synthesis on a whole new level. 🇨🇦

Thank you very much for your reaction and for a very high-quality analysis. I am answering your question regarding the similar tone quality of the voices of Aida and Dimash. Aida and Dimash have a similar tone quality because they were born in families whose kinship brings together the fact that their ancestors are Türks. In fact, they have the same roots. Aida is Tatar, and Dimash is Kazakh. Türkic roots give them the opportunity to understand each other both mentally and linguistically. By the way, the languages of these two nations are very similar, as well as with other nations whose origin is associated with the ancient Turks (Turkish, Uzbek, Azerbaijan, Turkmen, Kirghiz, Bashkir, Yakut and many others). This is just my opinion.

🖤 This... Ty❣️ Dimash reprised this, first done w/ Igor by Dmitri Hvorostovsky (well known international opera baritone ... kind of the Dimash of the opera world due to his presence). Sadly in late 2017, Dmitri passed away at 55 yrs (brain tumor) 😅 I believe Igor was happy 4 Dimash but also thinking of Dimitri (as he did a tribute 2 Dimitri at this concert) 👉 Dimash was influenced by Dimitri, Lara & Igor ✌🏼❤️ - 🇺🇸Dear

Loved this! And to think you already were a fan of Aida... I had never heard of her before seeing her here with Dimash, but she is now my favourite female he has sung a duet with. (Well, Lara Fabian is close.) By the way, I have seen a small clip from behind the scenes of the rehersal of this performance. It is just a fun little thing where after they have finished and Aida is leaving... she turns to Dimash and jokingly says that since she has to leave he can sing her part as well.

Вы не обратили внимание на заключительную часть в исполнении Димаша.Димаш это универсальный голос ,плюс воспитание...он никогда себе не позволит в дуэте доминировать...хотя Аида пыталась...но оно и понятно... она женщина...но каков наш Димаш?...такому трудно научиться...это в крови..молодцы!...да...опера потеряла такого уникального представителя вокала в лице Димаша.Спасибо за ваши прекрасные видео.реакции.Ждём ещё.

а Димашика никто спрашивать и не будет.. , ибо опера дивы просто доминируют , особенно когда рядом с ними эстрадный вокал для попс песенек... и опера не потеряла его Ю он просто на своем месте , и .. просто будет , как М.Магомаев орать под хор Красной армии, и кататься в школаде и сметане..

Димаш получил классическое вокальное образование и его приглашали петь в оперном театре. Димаш отказался, потому что хочет исполнять всё, а не только оперу. У него это великолепно получается.

Dimash does a really great version of his song "Know" in that same event. He does an amazing amount of ad-lib in that version.

I think Elizabeth it's time you saw Dimash dancing. He wrote a song "Give me your love" as a tribute to his hero Michael Jackson. I suggest you react to his Barclays Center concert version in New York. Prepared to be surprised yet again. 😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👍

@@aylinyaman7885 I agree, vocally it's not amazing but it is fun. Also it made his Dears very jealous, he's young and should have a change of pace. You can't have him singing songs like "Sinful Passion" all night. One of the truly great things about Dimash is his versitiity. I would love him to sing some songs from the Great American Songbook, or maybe some Jazz.

Love it! Dimash is like a badass warrior when he goes into opera mode! I just love when he prepares for the next phrase and then rises to attack those notes. And with Aida, total perfection! I hope they get another chance to perform together again. Such a beautiful execution of art. Now i understand why some professional coaches say after a Dimash review..."I don't know what to do with myself now!😀 Thanks so much for this Elizabeth!

It's scary how deep his voice is getting. And that octave jump....I believe it was a courtesy to Aida because if a soprano hits that note her voice is done for the night. But they had to sing Ti Amo Cosi later, helping out his colleague is admirable. Or I could be completely wrong.

This is a beautiful piece of music, sung by two incredible vocalists. They *did* match their voices to each other. Utterly captivating. I get the impression that this concert is one I'd like to hear from start to end. Anyone know of a video that covers the whole thing?
