Oh the tears, but it happens every time I hear her, and I have played the video 150 times. You must remember she is only 15 at the recording.

Even more unbelievable, Angelina recorded this within hours of Adele releasing it, and yes she is live, many music producers have said she is one of only a few singers, who can record a song in 1 take, i believe she is the best i've ever heard.

If this is your introduction to Angelina, hold on to your hat, she will blow your mind. From the age six to now seventeen, Angelina has produced the best music I've heard in my seventy years of life. Her personal story is as amazing as her voice.

Easy On Me Both Angelina Jordan and Adele are under the Republic Records umbrella, 12 hours after Adele released "Easy On Me," this video was dropped on the internet by AJ, and Adele has seen it. Adele wrote the song with its producer, Greg Kurstin, and it is about a broken marriage and a mother trying to explain to her son why it is happening. You have to ask yourself how a 15-year-old Angelina Jordan could do this song justice and give it the emotion it deserves? Here again, AJ takes on the impossible and makes it a classic as she always does. As usual, grandma Mery is close, and even appears in this video with AJ. Mery has been a major powerhouse behind AJ, and they would be lost without each other. One genius helping create another.

Angelina has great respect for Adele. Her usual style of a continuous live take, the depth of emotional expression is so amazing. Angelina makes us believe in the story, she invites us to join her in that journey. Recently Angelina a released her EP, her first since signing up to Republic Records. She is still only 17 years old, but she feels that she is "Old Enough" - that being the title of the EP. A full album is expected by the end of the year. There are so many of her performances since this one, that you should react to, especially from her live concerts in Norway last summer.

Once upon a time, in the land of the Norse gods, was born a girl blessed with the gift of song. Properly given the name, Angelina Jordan Astar, she would listen to music every available moment, embracing the story each song told. Angelina was able to hear every note and vocal technique used in a song, then create her own version. Lovingly placing her dolls on the couch, to be her audience, she would perform concerts, honing her craft. The emotions Angelina felt from each song were deep and moving. She sang in order to have the listener feel and understand the emotions she felt. At age 6, Angelina befriended a shoeless orphan girl about her age, who desired to become a doctor but confided in Angelina it would never happen since she had siblings who needed her to simply survive. Angelina told the orphan to never give up hope and to always pursue her dreams. Angelina took off her shoes and gave them to the orphan girl, saying the shoes no longer fit her. Sometimes a little white lie is needed. The orphan girl, so thankful for the gift, asked Angelina what she desired to be in life. Angelina said she wanted to sing for the entire world. The orphan girl, who Angelina gave the name Princess, said she would pray every day for her dream to come true. Angelina, told her, when on stage, I will always perform barefoot, to remind me of you and all the children like you who can't afford shoes or clothes. Angelina began her on stage career at age 7 performing for her home country and went on to sing on big stages at age 13 and 17, for audiences numbering in the millions each time. With each performance she gained new fans, who Angelina calls her angels. One would think after performing for such large crowds, she would become well known among the billions around the world, but that was not the case. The world had become a very busy place, with countless ways of learning about new artists. Her angels were inspired to spread the love they felt by listening to her music and knowing her story, and did the best they could to introduce their favorite musical artist to those who had never heard of her. Many of her angels were perplexed why the recording company who signed her, was not promoting her. The reason is unknown but apparently part of this magical tale. We recently learned Republic Records built a studio for Angelina to create her art. Angelina will be promoted when the stars are properly aligned and not before. Until that time, each angel should continue to spread the love they feel from Angelina's music and introduce new people to her.

Angelina is such an amazing artist: it goes from her soul straight to mine. She always makes me feel the song. Live studio recording means that it is a one take recording and she was only 15 here. She has a very versatile voice and she has been dubbed the girl of the 1,000 voices. She entered the lime lights at age 7 when she auditioned for Norway got Talent with Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday and which she ended up winning. Since she has done many things including performing for world leaders, Nobel Price winners, performing at FIFA events, performing on AGT and going viral with her unique arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody, performing for Quincy Jones on his 85th birthday party (and he compared her talent to that of Michael Jackson). Her family wanted her to have a normal childhood and now that she has finished her high school, she just released her EP ‘Old Enough’. It has a retro pop feeling to it with dashes and sprinkles of jazz, blues and soul in it, but also more modern influences such as rap and R&B. You might have noticed that she was barefoot. There is a beautiful story to it. When she was 6 she travelled through the Middle East. She met a poor girl in the streets barefoot and with scarred feet. She gave this girl her boots and has since performed barefoot, including in the snow, both in remembrance of this girl and to raise awareness for poor children around the world. She has done a ton of charity work.

AJ is 15 here. Seamless transitions from head voice to chest voice are signature -- along with vibrato sustained through fry. Love it. The vignettes at the beginning are important especially the last two. The first was her grandma Mery Zamany who has been the person who aided Angelina's development by introducing her all different forms of music. She is the one that took Angelina to record stores around Oslo so Angelina could sample different artists. Anyway Mery's usual post is with Angelina making sure things were going O.K., well grandma is just coming back from cancer surgery and this was her first day back where she usually is which is with Angelina. So both those little scenes were to point out that grandma's back and how much Angelina loves her and needs her there. I think that whole event with Mery informed Angelina's efforts on this song.

Welcome back Justin. Nice reaction to 15 yr Angelina. Last year at 16 she did 3 amazing concerts in July of 2022 in Norway. She also just released her new EP in July 2023 with 6 songs on it and she wrote all of them. The EP is like an amazing 6 course meal. All songs flow together but are different. Never afraid to take on epic songs, and this at 15 years old. At this point she is a nearly 10 year musical artist veteran, now with 200 covers and original songs online. We love seeing people discover this incredible joy.

Angie has an outstanding ear. She's Norwegian but has a total United States accent. IMO this is Angie's #1 skill, and she was born with it. No one was telling her how to sound like Billie Holiday, she >listened< and then modeled or copied that sound down to muscle manipulation, like Jim Carrey, and she remembers it. No one is telling her what to do. Angie is better at this one listening skill than I will be at anything in my whole life. It's not a gift. It's simply how she was born. Luck of the draw, and what she does with it. Pure genius.

To get the utmost out of singing heartfelt ballads it requires being able to produce the highest extent of emotion laden penetration to the listener. No one did this better than the improvisational 'Queen Of Jazz', and that was Billie Holiday, who just happens to be Angelina's true musical mentor. She has stated that there would be no Angelina Jordan if not for the music she garnered from Billie. All the nuance, inflections, breathy releases, mid sentence key and tonal changes, as well a host of other musical elements invented by Billie are the reason we have Angelina as she is today. If you're not a jazz singer on the level of Billie or Angelina, there is no way you can match their heartfelt ballads, Vocal expert analyzer Andreas Grussl breaks down this song by both artists, section by section, and tells us that Angelina's version is far 'warmer' than Adele's. He also shows how Angelina actually 'out belts' Adele in the power sections of the song, even though experts feel she won't have full lung capacity until her mid-20's. Angelina breathes music. She has said singing is like breathing to her & vocal coaches have said that she takes a breath & immediately sings without any hesitation, just like breathing. Producers purposely leave the sounds of her breath in the recordings because she uses those sounds to enhance the emotions she is conveying.

There are literally hundreds of jaw-dropping Angelina performances like this on RU-vid. A small suggestion, take it or leave it, when you hear a part you really like, pause, comment, rewind a bit, hear it again, then move on. 💓

After a stand up awhile back at a private performance (it seemed) I thought she was a child wonder but wasn't making it as a young adult. Something or someone has put her onto the right path ...this is what she should be singing! Bet she was hard to handle as a young enigma. But she has found the right path.

Grandma Mery has a small video of Angelina in Republic's studio chit chatting with one of the main managers. He told Angelina there's only 3 artists he's worked with that can do a recording in one take from top to bottom: 1 Beyonce, 2 Sam Smith and 3 Angelina Jordan. Hearing her name embarrassed her and she thanked him.

Nice reaction Angelina is known for one take. Obviously on songs where there are overlapping lines or backing vocals (She usually does her own backing vocals) those are from a different take. This performance is from a couple of years ago when Angelina was 15. The pianist is Rob Christie, director of Republic Records LA studio. He has accompanied her on several performances since she signed with Republic 3 years ago. She is 17 now and last month released a 6 song EP of all originals called Old Enough. All the songs are amazing. The EP has a retro vibe especially the two videos. I highly recommended that you check it out especially to get a sense of her own music.

you have to react to her new ep her new ep all originals i can't decide which is the best song the whole ep is such a masterpiece and so well written by her all i can say is she is outstanding and by far the best singer in this decade or century and Diamond is an even bigger surprise I have never seen an EP contain only number 1 songs in my entire life each of the 6 songs is a hit and grammy worthy I hope Republic Records finally fires up the promo engine and it is played on radio and TV only RU-vid is not enough. The crazy thing is that she said that the EP with 6 songs is a small selection from over 100 songs that she has already written, that gives hope for the future that we will be surprised with more beautiful songs
