For me this performance was a showcase of how to make every single note matter in a song. Nothing was just sung through to get to the 'good' part. When I listen to this song I listen carefully to every nuance.

The refrain phrase that is the title of this song- "Love like a dream" - is repeated 6 times. And each time it is sung differently. And each time, the singing style matches the rest of the lyrics and structure of the song. To be honest, this fact impresses me no less than the incredible breath control using almost a whisper; entering the territory of the soprano with the" angelic "sound of " Ave Maria"; or the powerful vocal" tsunami " in the final. Oh, yes, i also forgot to mention that most of the song Dimash just sat on a stool) I don't even want to imagine how many "runs" of this song Dimash had during rehearsals. We can only assume that a LOT. As one of the vocal teachers said: "Dimash brings his vocal mechanism to autopilot level with hundreds of rehearsals. The way he lives himself so deeply into a song always touches me. This song is to me a masterclass in how to emotionally "touch" the heart of the song. Dimash never lost focus, even in the quiet parts (for instance between verse 1 and 2). Love is like a dream is definitely one of my huge favourite performances. But I simply love Dimash anyway. 😍😍

I think his dynamic or how he used gestures and singing that capture me very well also he is a soprano and I am a soprano. I can not do what he did which I found so interesting but it was so different than other performances. I have seen from which is so enjoyable and as fan of Dimash, this performance was more mindblown because it was like watching the phantom of opera movie.

Igor, the pianist wrote this the year Dimash was born & asked him to give it new life. Now they are a fantastic team with Igor composing & reworking songs just for Dimash. Please add to your reaction list Dimash sing We Are One about the Coronavirus for which he has donated over 20 tons of food & supplies. Igor Krutoy wrote this song about 25 years ago and originally performed by Alla Pugacheva. Igor and Dimash re-arranged and revived the song. Dimash was 25 yrs old, singing a song that was 25 years old. Awesome.

The pianist in this performance is composer Igor Krutoy, who reportedly came out of retirement to work with Dimash. I love watching him as he watches Dimash perform his work. He wrote this song for Russian singer Alla Pugacheva, and it's my understanding that this performance was at a celebration honoring her. Krutoy also composed Ogni Pietra (Olympico) specifically for Dimash, which you've also reviewed, and you also see him in the performance of Your Love and several others.

This and "Late Autumn" or "Autumn Strong" as it is sometimes called are my favorite performances of his. My favorite part is when he goes into that angelic high part with such a soft entrance on the first note I didn't even know it was him the first time I heard this song. This was the third song I've heard from Dimash and it became my absolute favorite because this performance was just so emotional and vulnerable up until the very end. Lyrics were beautiful and he looks amazing in that velvet suit. This song and love of tired swans are both my favorite by Dimash.

It is one of my all time favorite performances of his because it showcased for me his gorgeous low register and breathy voice. He completely loses himself in the performance. Plus the angelic middle part is just heavenly. It might not be everyone's cup of tea because of the very slow start, but I just love this performance. You need to react to Daididau from Batsau. Another one of my favorite performances that's less talked about from him. He showcased his culture very well in it. But you have to watch it with subtitles to read the heart wrenching lyrics.
