Pavol Ridrich and they are so so talented all of them on theire own. I don't know any other band with such complete skill, talent and versatility as Nightwish. Each one of them is a true star!

Marko plays also double bass, cello, drums and somewhat piano too, but of course people doesn't see that so often. He used double bass on Nightwish's Slow Love Slow video and on few smaller gigs, cello he played on his solo tour. Drums he has played only on random bar/club gigs in Finland with random bands and just for fun.

Marko has as many arrows he can take from his quiver as the rest of the band. Allround musicians the lot of them. Not surprising when Arjen Lucassen asked him to use him solely as a singer, not for his prowess on the bass. And look through the list of singers he uses/used regularly, it is mind blowing.

That's so true, it's not even funny. Like, Marco joined in on Ayreon, a project that Floor has already been a part of for decades. And Floors little sister Irene was part of the one and only ever Ayreon live concert. (Btw, the whole cast of Ayreon is crazy impressive, like Simone Simons, Hansi Kürsch, Sharon den Adel, Bruce Dickinson, Tobias Sammet and many more). Floor has had several guest appearances at Epica, whose vocalist (Simone) is a very dear friend of hers and whose founder Mark Jansen was also the founder of 'After Forever', the first band that Floor joined while still in high school (some fun facts: When Mark left 'After Forever' Floor was already main vocalist and she managed the band nearly completely on her own while finnishing high school and then studying at the Rock Academy. In the meantime Mark did found 'Epica' for his new girlfriend Simone, both then separated but are still both in the band and are getting along well while each being married to other partners.). Also, Floors husband is the drummer of Sabaton, a swedish metal band that is popular for singing about WW1 and WW2 themes from all kinds of angles. And Sabaton worked together frequently with the producer Peter Tägtgren (as well as other bands like Dimmu Borgir, Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, etc), the vocalist and band leader of 'Pain' and 'Hypocrisy'. He is also involved as an instrumentalist with 'Lindemann', the solo project of the vocalist of Rammstein. And lastly, Peter is the husband of Anette Olzon, the previous vocalist of Nightwish. I can go on forever... I'm telling you, it's because of those Heavy Metal Open Air Festivals all over Europe during summer, they bring those bands together if they want to or not. That's where spontaneous guest appearances happen all the time.

Months ago, he's actually released about 3 to 4 of them from his album. The English version of the album anyway. He released the Finnish version last year.

That is such a beautiful song. I don’t speak Finnish, but the language sounds so lovely and way he sings it I prefer it over the English version.

It's not freetime really, it's a huge production nowadays. Been in the crowd for 11yrs now. From small clubs to arenas. My Christmas starts with them.

Yes, I read something about that too, don't remember where. Mind you, what I read was second hand information and hearsay, add to that my crappy and sometimes sporadic memory so this might be wrong altogether. Think his doctor wanted to remove a polyp in his throat or on a vocal chord, it was recommended but not necessary(?). The doctor said "it's nothing to worry about, you will be back singing again in 3 weeks". It turned out not be the case, he couldn't sing at all and had to start from scratch and learn to sing again.
