Yeah but when she sings Broadway songs with Jason Robert Brown, like Still Hurting, she shows that she can use perfect, coherent enunciation if she wishes to. She’s capable of enunciating perfectly but she chooses to intentionally “slur” the words, for stylistic effect, in her music. It’s for a stylistic effect, it’s not because she has bad enunciation.

I also love CC for deaf and hard of hearing viewers.

it’s definitely a new song. it sounds like none of the songs in thank u next. and you can tell she’s starting to dive into the r&b side of her, even tho her music’s always been influenced by r&b music it’s definitely more prominent this time around with this song. but also, you can tell it’s new just by the lyrics. she wrote thank u next during a rough period of her life, and positions is a love song that literally says “know my love infinite nothing i wouldn’t do”, implying she’s in a healthy relationship (which she is). anyways i can’t believe ppl think this is a recycled song. if they just listened correctly, they’d be able to tell it’s something fresh.

The thing is today's generation doesn't give much time listening to R&B and trap.. Be it thank u next by grande or be it changes by bieber, both couldn't achieve much when compared to their previous albums even though the vocals in these trap albums were the best of their lives..

What Ariana did in this song actually was cursive; it’s a little hard to tell and she rarely did it but it’s there, she kind of “mispronounced” the lyrics to make them have a different pronunciation; which is cursive singing. Kind of like Dixie D’ Amelio did in her song Happy; if you know who that is
