I love this breakdown. I actually learned a lot. in other reaction videos the people where always (usually) either hyping everything up or degrading her singing technique. but you talked about what was good, where she sounded off and that some things she does aren't for anyone. amazing. (side note: it would be great if you could react to an updated version of her best live vocals, the PopCrush video isn't be best for that)
Spot on Matt. People don't realize this type of singing is tantamount to a world class Olympic gymnast. The physical demands are on her entire being. This is a caliber of singing that some voice teachers wouldn't even know how to teach.
These vocals are very good but they’re not all her best. Please react to her live “anyone” at the Grammys and her live “father” two years ago before an intimate audience. Especially on “father” she does a very big belt without going right into any type of vibrato. Your commentary was spot on by the way.

The note at 8:27 was just half a step sharp from the original B where she sang a C instead and I honestly think it was an intentional blue note (minor second) as she even fell back to the B by the end. Maybe she did it by accident but I didn't think it sounded bad.
I keep watching her sing Stone Cold and I always question if her throat gets tired after singing. I'm glad you pointed out some of the things which are not healthy.
This is an Awesome reaction video! The popcrush video is pretty bad tho and it doesnt showcase her actual best vocals and I would reccomed reacting to a 2017-2018 best live vocals from demi
She’s really good Ariana and Her are the queens of vocals now also I remember Zayn beating Demi in one high note video now I’m not saying Zayn sings higher than her but in rock me Zayn went higher than demi high note in a song that’s a big deal for a male singer that’s all.
