Diana is magical. There are longer versions of this song not cut down for the competition but at 14 at this time and place, Diana pulled off a spectacular performance. For those of you who do not follow Diana closely she is in studio producing her first album (May release) and she is going to release a single mid March in collaboration with Brandon Stone from what I understand.
Yeah, as amazing as this is, I've seen other versions that were even more incredible. She had more time and likely more experience, but my goodness...she is just a force of nature!
I agree, other versions are not only longer but more immersive in emotion & spectacular performance, saying that, Diana still has a special performance. When we find such a gifted all round singer as Diana is, we always long to see more longer performances.

Earlier I kept ignoring RU-vid recommendations of performances of Diana for a while, I was thinking: why would I be interested in a 14 years old girl singing? Then I was listening to a playlist of your reactions while working.. I ended up in fan groups, first time in my life :D.
@@voilavoila196 Indila sings with a beautiful angel voice but that's it... I so her on a live show and she just sang into the mic without any emotions at all .not always the original singer/writer {very rare} is the better performer!

The woman who gave birth to her, had 12 pregnancies, only Diana survived... and she did not love her child, mistreated her severely and tried to drown her. Relatives found the child with a broken collarbone in the street and took the 3-year-old girl to a children's home shortly thereafter. Finally, there she found love... from Irina Ponik, who worked as a massage therapist and treated children from the orphanage. Irina Ponik and her daughter Nastya fell in love with Diana. Taking a child into the family was of course not easy for Irina ... Of course, taking a child into the family was not easy for Irina but she became her 'mother' when Diana was 5 years. Diana now lives in a poor but loving family. Diana spoke badly but sang all the songs from cartoons. An acquaintance of her mother, a musician, noticed that Diana had a perfect pitch and advised her to take singing lessons. So Diana took lessons from the singing teacher Elena Anatolyevna Kazantseva, who discovered Diana's talent. And so it all started ... The Arseniev period lasted from the end of 2008 to September 2012. During this time Diana sang around 40 songs, including at competitions. Diana's mother became her daughter's manager, she found the addresses of music competitions, negotiated with the organizers and selected a repertoire. Everything that has to do with Diana's singing training, performances and competitions is organized and coordinated by her mother Irina Ponik. She is looking for sponsors because flights are expensive and took extra sewing courses. Since then she's been sewing all of Diana's stage costumes, because all of these things consume the family budget. She accompanies her daughter on trips and captures her life in photos and videos with the persistence of a visionary. After winning a competition in Moscow, Diana's mother was offered to leave the girl in a boarding school for gifted children. She refused and in 2012 moved with her small family to her hometown of Toglyatti, much closer to Moscow. Diana now also has a grandma and has also lost her fear that the woman who gave birth to her would kidnap her. 2013-2015 Diana played in the theater studio of Dmitry Marfin, director of children's programs at the Togliatti Philharmonic Society, whom Diana valued as 'a real workaholic and fan of her craft'. After her debut on June 3, 2014 (Diana played Becky Thatcher in the jazz musical 'Tom Sawyer and His Friends'), she met Svetlana Ivanovna Vovk, the director and pop singing teacher at the Togliatti College of Music and Rodion Shchedrin, member of the jury international and national music competitions and Diana's journey continued ... Diana's voice, her perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm were extraordinary even as a little girl and so she impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop ... until one day she was asked to compete in more distant competitions so that other children could have a chance to win. So, in 2017 on February she went to Moscow, at the Russian 'The Voice Kids'. Next day, a huge scandal broke out in social medias. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition. A door had closed but a new door opened: In 2018 and 2019, Moscow hosted the 3rd season of a unique international Competition instead of “You are Super”, which was launched in 2016 specifically for adopted and orphaned children. Diana took part and won. These performances were broadcast nationwide, uploaded to RU-vid and made Diana known worldwide. She now has many millions of fans around the world. The final of the international singing competition for children 'You are Super' took place in the Kremlin Palace. The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote. Diana won a scholarship to the music college. Igor Krutoy gifted her a small apartment in Moscow so that she could begin her vocal training with the best teachers in Moscow such as Professor Olga Donskoy (she died of Covid-19 in October 2020). The break of voice made Diana’s voice darker and deeper. During her vocal break, her voice sometimes went a little crazy. You can hear it in some videos from that time. THE BEST PART is that it took Diana about a month to learn to Yodel for her performance on Voice Kids Russia. Great reaction! I would like to clarify the following. Diana not only studied vocals from the age of 5, but also took part in musicals. Hence her wonderful sense of the stage, the ability to convey emotions and feelings. When, deservedly enough, her vocal teachers are praised, I would like to praise her stage coaches too! Just think, 9 years before this performance Diana was unable to speak properly due to trauma in her childhood. An incredible life story which is worthy of a feature film in itself! To survive such a tragic early childhood, get adopted by a wonderful loving family who nurtured her singing and then rise to become one of the most amazing singers in the World today and for the foreseeable future! I think this was her first appearance on the show so the judges are taken by surprise but even as it goes on she manages to make them do that thing where they just look at each other in amazed bewilderment. My favorite judge reaction is probably the one for Blizzard (second season? different set of judges) and the first guy clearly was trying to hold out but as soon as she starts to sing he just slaps the button in indignant resignation. And another one is talking to the judge next to her obviously gushing about her amazing voice and then turns back to Diana, shrugs, presses the button and gestures like "oh course, yeah, obviously" ☺️

Yes, this song displays the power in her voice. It was her 1st song on that season's show, and the first time the 2 women judges heard her. You can see after their initial confusion that that powerful voice was coming from that young girl, they ended up in loved with her. Diana said in an interview that she doesn't want to just sing the notes of a song, but wants to sing from inside the song. And she's masterful at that.

At the age of three, Diana was left at a bus stop in the winter with a broken collarbone. Diana's biological aunt rescued Diana from the street, but was unable to care for the traumatized child. I know she's polyphonic now but when i first heard her sing this the point in this video at 3.08, I was like did she make both those sounds? Cos you can hear her foundation tone in the "vole" but then you hear a higher note and there doesn't seem to be back up singers (but it could be im no expert).. No one else seems to notice when they react (the lady in red on the show did ha) so Im not sure, but sure does sound like both come from her. incredible

I have to say that I appreciate your reaction very much. A lot of vocal coaches try to disseminate her voice and try to tell you how it's done and how you can do it. However, you come in and say that this is something that is natural and cannot really be taught; it has to be something that is pretty much innate. And that's where I think her Talent resides. It is a natural talent that she was born with and was brought out into the open by her vocal coach. It was not something that her vocal coach taught her.
You’re hearing what you want to hear. All beth was saying was that her communication skills cannot really be taught the way that she’s doing it… It is intuitive to Diana. Vocal technique is another thing.
Can you PLEASE do a react to Bob Dylan’s song ‘It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue’ from the Bringing it All Back Home album? Some versions he sings differently but the original is incredibly challenging to sing. We’d really like to get your insight. How does his tone and pitch modulate so seamlessly??
