He is from Kazakhstan, was 22 here, he is 25 now. He is a trained opera singer, has a 6 octave range, perfect pitch and can sing an unbelievable D8, so this was nothing near his best. He sings in many languages and plays a range of instruments, all to high standard. He is a phenomenon💖

I really liked your reaction. This was the first thing I watched with Dimash too… and I remember how I felt when I watch you. The amazement and pure shock. And it never really goes away since he does something unique in each performance. Even when you think you know what he's all about… you will get surprised. Keep reacting to him. В браузере где то пару лет была вирусная реклама Dimash сделал то, сделал это.Ясен пень даже внимания не обращял.Попсу на дух не перенашу. Но мой старший сын нажал на эту рекламу Димаша и всё!!!!!!!! Я приплыл=\ Я взрослый брутальный мужик с каждой его песней плачу как ребёнок! Сам атеист,но если есть бог или аллах Я ему благодарен за то что я живу в одно время с этим человеком.Он просто разрывает душу на куски!!! Atheist himself, but if there is a god or Allah I am grateful to him for the fact that I live at the same time with this man. He just tears the soul to pieces !!! There are no words I'm writing, listening and crying =) We were lucky to live at the same time with this angel !!!!

@@파리수테아테텅이 The Competition is a Chinese singing competition in which stars go against other stars. In the competition, they actually placed Dimash 2nd from the start of the show. No one had really heard of him and they weren't expecting him to be buzz worthy. They reserved the bigger stars towards the end. This is the 1st day of the competition and after this, they moved him towards closing. The crazy thing is he actually lost the competition. He came in 2nd place. One of the girls won. They win through viewers voting by the way.
I like that little smirk on his face just before the last line. I wonder if he's thinking of the other contestants and how they must feel if they are performing next....
Hi Beth. New subscriber here. Thank you so much for not bagging on his diction as other French speakers have done. They don't realise that he's from Kazakhstan where not even English is a mandatory second language. He has to learn everything phonetically. Another thing you might be interested in is the fact that he has a very hands-on approach to musical arrangement, which even the producer said is rare for such a young (at the time of this episode, he was 23) singer. In order to have your best joyful roller-coaster ride through the depth and the tops of Dimash's vocal wonders you have to listen to his beautiful interpretation of the Russian song (formerly Song of the Year and Song of the Decade sung by Alla Pugachiova) The Love That Seems To Be A Dream (constantly mistranslated as "Love Is A Dream", music by Igor Kroutoy, lyrics by Valeriya Gorbachiova (she was only 17 y.o. when she wrote the lyrics). As I usually say - after hearing this song you will not need to hear Dimash anymore ! :^) - because he uses in it almost every trick of the trade in beautiful vocal arrangements !
This song each time has me crying out loud. The singing, the lyrics are so absolutely beautiful. It makes feeling understood and bridges the World together.
If you can get a ticket in London to his November 19th concert do so. You will kick yourself later if you do not. I hear that he is really something live and he has this wonderful Charisma.

This dude is really on a whole different level. His range is ridiculous sure but it's not just about that. He's got such amazing control over his voice that only comes from years of practice and study. He's doing things in this video that the top singers in the world would struggle with and he's making it look effortless. In addition to that he's singing in a foreign language, that he does not speak, and doing it better than some native speakers. The word genius gets thrown around a lot these days but there really isn't another that adequately describes the depth of this mans' talent.
