Only these days because backround vocals are now allowed. They did not use to be. It's only from year 2021 that backupvocals were allowed to be in the performance.
It has been changed now. Backing vocals can be made louder and that happened with Poland. Also that year when Estonia had "Verona" the female's voice was completely muted during the chorus in the semi-final and another voice of someone singing behind the stage with brackground singers was put on, so it doesn't have to be the actual performer all the time singing live I guess.
I'm glad you pointed that out, because they're rarely if ever as "perfect". Although I have to say, I thought if Tusse went to Eurovision doing Voices the way he did in his winners reprise, he might have done better! I loved his ad-libbing!! The energy and spontaneity was great!
@@rowaystarco I believe they’re going to revert back to the old one. The new JESC does not allow reprecorded backing vocals this year, so expect a change to the adult contest as well.
I’ve noticed that the public really likes powerful songs and the jury tends to like those as well but with more technicality. Sweden had both aspects but with Finland it was more of a crowd pleaser with not much technicality in vocal styles. Don’t get me wrong I liked both songs, but that’s how I’ve noticed Eurovision votes between both the Jury and the Public have been lately.
I adore Jere Poyhonen (Kaarija), but he is NOT a vocalist.. the performance showed it.. He is a rapper, and was brilliant in that first portion. LIke others have said, a huge crowd pleaser, but definitely lacking in technical excellence etc.
@Filip Kostin but if we speak about vocals - Norway was a blast ! The thing about Eurovision is not just about vocals, this song , this type of performance has been seen and this is why people are not pleased. If you are going to win 2 times with the same singer and song -why not do it all the time ? Why not Norway win -vocals, text, strong song- Kaarija wrote that song himself , a small rapper going in Eurovision and making everyone wanting to sing his song - who cares about some bad vocals? The song was catchy, fun, somthing new -fun ! My top 3 were Finland, Norway and Croatia !
@Filip Kostin It's called eurovision SONG contest not eurovision singing contest. The contester from Finland competed with a _rap song_ that only had singing in the chorus. To compare a singer and a rapper based on solely singing ability (when there are many other factors that play into a song or live performance being well liked or not) is nonsensical to say the least.
@Filip Kostin "You cannot say his performance and overall package was better because doing so wouldn't objectively be true" It's _music_ There is no way to objectively compare two songs from two completely different genres. What you are confusing as an objective fact there is literally just your opinion An opinion that the bigger percentage of people who ended up voting disagree with by the way. You'd think someone would at least have stats on their side before making comments like that🤦♀️ "If you go to a song contest and present yourself as an artist/singer"- He presented himself as a _rapper_ . In every single article about esc (that I read at least) he is referenced as a rapper and he entered the contest with a _rap_ song. I stated this already, do keep up. If you are one of those people that think rap songs are "lower quality" or that rappers aren't real musical artists just out of principle - take a step back from your hypocrisy of telling other people they are not being objective because you have just shown black on white that you are not willing to be objective when it comes to who should be winning a _song_ (not singing but _song_ ) contest show. The fact that you are labelling the Finnish performance as a "people pleaser" while Tattoo - judging by lyrics, melody, production etc. - is literally a generic pop song highly similar to what you would hear on the radio is just delusional. Pop is literally THE genre of people pleasing. This guy took a lot of risk going out on stage in a spike collar and doing weird stuff on stage. There could have just as well been more people in the croud who found that too out there. On top of that I would argue they took an even bigger risk submitting a song in an extremely niche language such as Finnish. People are automatically more likely to enjoy songs they understand which is obviously why so many contestants submit English songs. It is actually the _less_ people pleasing thing to submit a song in Finnish. The reason they got so many votes is not due to people pleasing but due to the people finding it the best performance. Nothing against the singer Loreen, she sure had one of the best vocal performances, but we simply cannot pretend that is all that makes a good song a good song or a good performance a good performance. Other people had great vocal performances as well. Doesn't mean their song and overall package + performance was better.
i watched a lot of her performances , she always does the 'ugh' sound , i really like it , and it makes the songs better , you should watch other performances they were better recorded
@@melodystar3738 It also shows how down to earth she is, she is not trying to be perfect on the winning performance just to deliver yet again a song she won with, just pure expression and love and she is not afraid to change the sounds and style of the performance. First the song was done perfect, later on it became more and more playful and more done to interact with the audience.
Sweden winning is no coincidence..ever. They are music machines behind pop royalty like Britney Spears and Nsync. I feel like they have enough winning songs to sit on until they find the PERFECT artist to perform it, not just any singer who can sing it. Her melodifestivalen performance with the bigger screens and the actual fog was a Grammy award show-style performance you would see from someone like Gaga. Loreen is not just a singer, she is an all around artist.
some really gooSweden writes/produces so much music even to other countries in Eurovision but we don't have that many good artists compared to how many good writers we have nxkxkfkdkn but ofc we have some really good artists too
i mean loreen still came second in audience votes so she was still loved by many, i don’t get why some people thought it was so absurd that she won 😭 also i think finland were shady for giving sweden 0 audience points while sweden gave them their 12 top points…
Omg yes. And people saying Eurovision wanted Sweden to win are so dumb. Eurovision literally chose Finland to perform after two ballads (Italy and Estonia) so it was a huge headstart
@@Whatever-de9jb THIS! the production gave finland as much help as they could with the running order, like no one has won from a single digit running order since 2003, plus Sweden was placed right after their perceived greatest competition in the jury (which, even though it didn't come to fruition, many thought it wasn't a good spot at all.)
I heard finnish Käärijä fans refused to vote for Loreen (a strategic move to give her less points -> Finland more likely to get better result and perhaps win) Not sure if it's true tho but I honestly think it's true, cause it makes sense 😅 Usually we get (many) points from Finland
I mean, people complained last year that Ukraine didn't deserve the win due to pity votes from the public. Now they're upset at the jury this year. This literally happens every year, so I'm not surprised.
@@worthaspin millions my azz... Lets imagine how many voted for Käärijä, second best televote result after Ukraines 2022 votes 😂😂 HE is the real peoples winner, HE was the main character of last ESC, HE is the icon.
@@misc9936 lol seems like you don't know how many people voted. Honestly, get a life. Without the jury basicly none of the previous winners would've won.
Honestly it narks me off so much that people discredit Loreen with a stupid conspiracy theory, she deserved her win. She does not deserve all the personal attacks shes been flooded with on her socials, Käärijä is friends with her and has asked his fans to leave her alone, but they wont.
Thank you. As a Swede I'm so damn sick of hearing that damn conspiracy theory. I almost wish Finland would've won just to not hear people moan about Abba 😅 And i loved both songs, both are on my playlist, i would've been happy who ever won. 🥰
I'm a Brit and I think she deserved the win HANDS DOWN! Fabulous sing sung brilliantly amd her futuristic , trapped in a weird box act with those crazy nails, and the way she swept them round like some sort of space creature , just a brilliant act imo. I really would like to hear which of the other acts people think beat it. 90% were seriously bad and only a few , maybe 4 or 5 were average to good. 2 were pretty good I'd say amd one of those was Loreen. On the night I thought she smashed the competition
She came 1st in the jury vote and 2nd in the televote. I don’t understand what all the fuss is about?! She deserved it! First woman to ever win the contest twice (she won with the song euphoria 2012. Please check that out as well!). ABBA has also stated that they will NOT reunite in stockholm 2024 so i don’t get that conspirecy theory either…
She deserved winning , 5 months after Eurovision , tattoo is still being streamed and heard and is rocking it , while no one is listening to cha cha cha , so glad people voted well and judges too ❤
Cha cha cha was awful , let's face it. For some reason you're not allowed to say it , karijaa fans are all toxic and can't accept people don't always like basic heavy club tunes that's are a dime a dozen. And easily forgotten
@@claw4286 fair point. After all there really isn't bad music, if someone likes it it's not bad 😁, I guess I should have said "I think it's awful" as a personal opinion. My bad

@@hazed1009 Dude yes, it was awful literally and scientifically sth. More people should be truth tellers. Also that televote seems like a scam, just to add spice to the competition. Because it's impossible to know what's going on about it. And I'm not a Eurovision freak but at least considering the last 3 years, it did not change the jurys' decisions of who is the winner.
what i hate most is people who are trying to please both sides so instead of hearing her voice and listening to the lyrics you knew about the drama before you watched both songs... which immediately makes you biased. Loreen was great, vocally and stage-wise and clear talent won period. thats what Eurovision is about.
So glad someone mentioned this! The weird nitpicking is wild, she had just made history and sounded like she did and people are still trying to find something wrong with her performance.
@@Rose-cj7wi The intro alone shows that he wants to find bad things and did not give this a fair chance. I'm not saying he has to love it like I do, but it's obvious he was influenced and trying to influence others. Other vocal coaches reacted blind and it was so much better.
@@lb2419 Exactly! You know someone isn’t reacting genuinely when the only comparison they make is to Kaarija. 26 finalists and somehow the only song Tattoo is compared to is it’s complete opposite, which for me wasn’t even close to winning.
I understand that some people may be upset that Finland didn't win but people all over the world have thought Loreen had a really big chance at winning Eurovision as early as in February when she competed in Sweden's Melodifestivalen and won. A lot of people around the world that can't vote in melodifestivalen also took to social media because they wanted us that could vote to vote for her. Imo Loreen was the best vocally and the song is so powerful and beautiful, Finlands song was also good but you can't really compare these 2 songs to each other because they are so different from one another. Both Sweden and Finland were the countries that the world thought would compete for 1st place and they came in 1st and 2nd. You can't get angry if you don't win in Eurovision because often songs that you don't expect to win win but this year one of the favorite songs actually won. People start to accuse anything they can when upset their favorite act didn't win. The votes between the jury and audience is almost 50/50 so it makes sense that she would win when she got the most votes from the jury and the second most points from the audience. Loreen definitely deserved this win after her incredible performance.
some facts, this song is the fastest song in eurovision history to reach 100 mil streams. it is the highest charting eurovision song in history. it has the most streams in one single day in eurovison history. and people think it didnt deserve to win?
When I watched her perform on TV I was so fascinated and overwhelmed. The song is awesome and her performance was just breathtaking. She didn't need crazy lighting or a colorful stage, just raw emotions and incredible choreography (although I personally really liked scenery with the rising and falling ceiling) For me, she definitely deserves the win.
The lead singer(s) have to sing live but can be accompanied by prerecorded backing track or live backing singers. The jury has less than 50% of the vote in 2023 an onwards since there was a ROTW public vote added. So the maximum jury points a country could get this year was 432 and maximum from public vote is 444. Sweden finished 1st in jury with 340 points and second in pubic with 243 points. Finland was 1st in public vote with 376 and 4th in Jury with 150. One interesting thing though is Sweden didn’t win and 12 points from the public vote, which is why I think people are butthurt about the win. But IMO I think as she was second in public vote overall it means she did deserve the win. Personally I think people hold it against Loreen because she previously won, but it’s not the first time someones won for the second time and definitely not the second time a winner has competed. Some people have competed 3+ times. Also to add the jury vote based on a different performance and not the televised one.
She did, but the difference in the televote score to Käärijä was 133 points, which is equivalent to a televote placement of 6th-7th, so it's not a small difference by any means.
But the difference in televotes was huge. Sweden didn't get a single 12-pointer from the televote. Finland won the vast majority of televotes. Plus you need to remember that very CONVENIENTLY like half of the juries gave Finland 0 or 1-3 points. Is Finland really a 0 point song? It's not just that juries spammed 12s at Sweden, they completely snubbed Finland. Loreen really won with euphoria 2.0 Meanwhile Finland innovated with a key change + genre change midway through the song that fitted the narrative of the lyrics. Plus it is a fucking bop.
@@monkeyapo8516How did the jury snub Cha cha cha ?! The song got 4th with a very very Jury unfriendly song … Songs like Queen of kings or Break a broken heart deserve many more jury points than Finland. Y’all are just blinded by bias. Finland actually deserved way less jury votes. Btw did Sweden get tons of 10’s points in televote so stop being bitter.
First, Loreen is THE QUEEN! Second, she must had soooo many emotions in her since she's the first female EVER to win Eurovision twice! And lastly, she has NO BACKING vocals whatsoever in her song, so it's just her singing, and no filters, autotune etc are allowed on Eurovision. Hope this gives you a clearer picture ❤
+1 I think we should appreciate countries that put in the effort to provide us great performances. It is just disheartening to see so much negativity against Sweden. Especially they have been given us great performances. And this is coming from me, a non-Sweden Stan.
I'd argue Finland had exactly those things going for them better than Sweden lol, whereas Sweden was superior in vocals, radio friendliness, and mainstream appeal
@@casperix3741yeah, Finland was definitely a fun and lively performance but Sweden had vocals over Finland. Loreen is a literal vocalist who received a great song that complimented her voice, so much that she went above and beyond with her performance. The stage, her voice, the costuming, the song, everything tied in perfect for her and it isn’t unbelievable that she won.
@@crterjd8154 Yeah, i agree that it's definitely not unbelievable, and she certainly had one of the strongest vocals as well as a well-produced and catchy song
There was no performace at Eurovision this year even close to this. The vocals, the emotions, the staging, just perfect. The song is mainstrream on the one hand, but standing out on the other hand. Since juries appreciate the voice, Finland had no chance of winning the jury votes.
@@venycal Well I guess that's the pressure that a large part of the community exerted in advance :D Even though there were certainly plenty members of the jury who really enjoyed Cha Cha Cha as well to be honest ;)
@@venycal oh that was what i was thinking too. it's like the jury also helped boosting the song to get more points even though there are better vocals like the ones you just said and also estonia. i was surprised finland placed above estonia in jury vote.
@@venycal Norway got absolutely trashed by the juries, a third place with televotes, 17th place with the juries. That's a jury steal, Finland however got quite good jury results.

I Love this performance, it feels so emotional comparing to the previous ones. I agreed the some details sounds weird but for me only if you are watching for the first time or don't knowing that this was the winning performance. Loreen is amazing and you are awesome Tristan. I'm sending love from Brazil ♡
I feel like you should've watched the competing performance and not the winner's performance. It's much clearer and it's what she competed with. Also fyi, it's mandatory in eurovision to sing fully live, only some backing vocals are allowed. So that's not a question in Eurovision if it's live or not. If you react to Finland's performance, I feel like it's necessary to know that he's a rapper and not a singer even though singing is a big part of the performances and the jury was asked to take their singing abilities into consideration while giving points. After all, Eurovision is not a singing contest but more of a performing contest, but that's something to think about I guess :)
Exactly. Americans can't avoid to compare Eurovision with the singing competitions they know, like American Idol or Got Talent, and they tend to forget this is a *song contest* not a singing competition (of course the singing is important, but not the main part for the performance to be evaluated) as you said, nowadays is a show contest.
So if you look at her performance in swedens national selection “melodifestivalen”, you will se the original staging is much better and powerful. The stage in Liverpool (where Eurovision took place this year) did not unfortunately have the resources to replicate it :(
A lot of the frustrated people keep referring to the jury votes but forget she still came 2nd and got a LOT of public votes. The unhappy people seem to think the public didn't vote for her.
it seems like these people build their own narrative that somehow the public that decided the winner (which is not true based on the 50/50 system) because of what happened in 2021 and 2022 where the winner got the most televote and moderate jury votes.
She did get a lot of points, but the televote difference to Käärijä was 133 points, and Käärijä scored the third highest televote score ever recorded, so it kind of makes sense that there are a lot of unhappy Käärijä fans right now
Sweden definitely deserved the win. There were a lot of stellar performances that night, many of which were robbed, but there's no denying Sweden took the cake. First in juries for powerful vocals, beautiful staging, whatever it is they vote on... and second in the televote. People act like the juries won it for her but if she hadn't gotten second in the televote she wouldn't have won either. It's ridiculous to be this upset with a winner when Kaarija already won millions of fans and tons of recognition. The win isn't that important, an important lesson learned from 2022.
I kind of agree with the first part of your comment, but not the second part. Finland rarely gets much Eurovision success, and they were so hungry for a second win, and Käärijä also took this as a huge personal failure. It kind of makes me upset to see how little people in Sweden seem to care about the win they got when Finland wanted it so bad. Just compare the videos of Käärijä and Loreen arriving at the airport after Eurovision. Käärijä has hundreds of people waiting for him despite him coming second, whereas Loreen is greeted by a couple of journalists and a handful of fans.
@@casperix3741people in Sweden didn’t treat this win like nothing though, it’s just hard to celebrate it online or celebrate the success of Loreen simply by commenting when they are literally bashed for simply being happy for her. Finland has struggled in Eurovision and hasn’t really gotten much appreciation or recognition but there’s no need to be feral and go after the winner online as if she didn’t deserve this. Loreen had strong vocals, she’s a beautiful vocalist, and her performance was very majestic. Loreen had everything to offer that would capture the votes from the jury, even the televotes, her song was deeper and on a gravitational level of how catchy it was.
@@crterjd8154 I agree that people shouldn't go after Loreen or bash anyone for supporting her. What you mainly see in videos of both Loreen's airport reception and her winning concert in Sweden though is a lack of enthusiasm among the crowd, particularly in comparison to the reception of Käärijä.
The screeching scratchy sound you hear at the opening, is not her clearing her throat. Instead, it is her nails which are made of stone raking on the surface of the props above her head.
Yes!! She won eurovision back in 2012. One of the best songs in the eurovision song contest, ever!!! Hands down! That's why she is so loved by many!! Including me haha :)) Check out her 2012 song, euphoria, it's amazing! I was 12 back then, now I am 23 and it is still my favorite song of all time!
Can't wait to see your take on Finland. As a musician myself, I suspect vocally you'll maybe prefer Sweden. But Finland is just so much fun, and the message of the song resonates with a lot of people (myself included). Plus ESC is just one big party, and everyone had fun singing and dancing to Finland's song.
Also for the record, while I was rooting for Finland with everyone else at the end, neither song was my favorite. I'd point you towards Estonia or Czechia for excellent but overlooked songs. Poland and Israel also had very fun pop songs that were well executed.
ATTENTION: This is the Winner's reprise. This was not the performance that the audience or jury voted on. This is the performance that Loreen gave after being crowned the winner. That's why there are ad libs and certain singing choices being made.
People saying the jury has too much power but they've the exact same amount of power as the televote so that makes no sense lol. Kaarija's televote score beat Loreen's Jury score so it makes it irrelevant, what made her win was the public also loving her song, she got 2nd most points it's really not that hard to understand lol.
I feel like you're missing out on the fact that the jury and the public has 50% each of the votes. Sweden was the jurys first. Finland was their fifth. Finland was the publics first, Sweden was the public SECOND. It's not like people didn't vote for Sweden, like people are trying to make it look like because they did. Sweden 1st + 2nd, Finland 5th + 1th. Not a weird win.
Tristan don’t be influenced by haters 😭 Loreen was amazing. Got 2nd most fan votes and 1st most jury votes. Cha cha cha people like just coz of the singers “goofy” personality and “fun” performance. Artistically Loreen is much better. Don’t be scared to share ur honest opinions. U looked like u had a pre-conceived opinion in ur head because of the haters so u were trying to find the bad😫
there is nothing sus about that win, many songs have won without majority of public votes and she came in second. Also sorry to say but this song has much more replay value than Finland and the fans have proved themselves as being very toxic to the point of online bullying her. Both songs are great, once was more convincing artistically.
i will never forget how people turned the celebration to a hate campaign. flooding her tiktok and youtube with annoying comments. and not to mention they're spamming downvotes in her winner performance video. truly awful
6:59 Playback? In Eurovision the main voice always needs to be live 100%. Only recently (since 2021) have they started allowing recorded backing vocals, but those obviously can't be the same as the singers' voice and lines. It's the musical instruments that weirdly need to be played in playback because they can't plug them in for each performance in such a short time.
She basically sang that song 15 times in a 2-week timespan. And that’s only at the rehearsals that were recorded, she could’ve been doing more work behind the scenes. So yeah, it took its toll but she was still amazing
I highly doubt about the Abba conspiracy tho. If the EBU really wanted Sweden to win, they should've gave the better running order slot to Sweden instead of Finland, they literally have drawn to perform in the same halves, both 2nd half of semi 1, both 1st half of the final. Yet they favored Finland in BOTH shows despite having the power to further secure Sweden's win.
Yup. For the past 20 years (if I remember correctly, it's 27 years), I believe there were only two winning songs (three including 2023) that came from single digit running order (1-9). And Tattoo was given single digit running order. And yea, the conspiracy does not make sense when Finland was given the opportunity to perform last twice! (Grand Final: Finland given the last possible spot when Finland drew 1st half)
I think you should react to her first performance on melodifestivalen! I got so emotional and stunned when I saw that one. There was kind of a problem with her stage props in Eurovision, the arena couldn’t handle the weight of her big screens. (Or something like that)
I'm from Sweden and it feels like people like to hate on us every for no matter what we do, even now when we wins. Yet other countries always get some form of help from Sweden, for example the Finish stage dance was even made by a Swede and other countries always use Swedish songwriters. Every single year people wished for Loreen to compete in Eurovision again and win and when she actually do it and beat Finland they are going mad. I didn't even know Loreen would win Melodifestivalen, it could just as well have been M&M. People are just stupid...
Can't tell if someone already told you, but the "grand final" performance is not actually the only performance being voted on. Jury votes are done on a rehearsal type show the night before the grand final, if I remember correctly. Only the public votes are done on the "grand final" night. Since Loreen got heavy jury votes this might be of some interest. (Ofc, then there are also the semi-finals for qualifying to the final, but that's another thing).
Out of all the tens of her live performances of the same song and staging, he chooses the winning one where she's bound to sound weird due to her excitement and adrenaline moments after winning. Next.
You should’ve reacted to the semi final performance. That one was the best! She clearly let loose and was full of adrenaline here, so not as perfect as the semi final performance! Her voice is absolutely amazing. She totally deserved to win!
I think her voice is powerful and she is amazing at conveying emotions. This song was the only song I really enjoyed listening to from all the eurovision songs in many years..
I like that the weeks (months even) leading up to the ESC Sweden was heavy favourites in the odds and I think Sweden won in almost every big fan vote (might have lost one). And then when it actually won some people lost their damn mind. Finland grew and grew and became a favourite with a lot of fans, but it was always going to lose the jury vote. The question was just by how much and if the televote could save him. Finland song isn't a typical "jury" song and we also don't know exactly how he performed during the show that the juries base their votes on. The singer was really weak in the semifinals and just slightly better in the finals. If it was bad when the juries watched, he for sure lost points there. Anyway, as for the "conspiracy" it's quite ludicrous. Sweden got a pretty bad starting position and this year the televote actually had more power, which benefited Finland. But some fans will always be a bit crazy. If Sweden had lost there would be fans out there screaming about the voting being rigged. Finland did after all give Sweden 0 points.....coincidence? I THINK NOT! ;)
The conspiracy theories about ABBA anniversaries lmao. So Sweden won 3 years that were anniversaries, we also won 4 other times that these muppets didn't mention. Loreen is a true artist and very artsy. She's the only woman in history who have won ESC twice. Eurphoria (her winning song from 2012) is an all time ESC favorite and people all over the world love it still to this day. Tattoo is the number 1 song in the UK and it broke streaming records in Sweden. She's a worthy winner and a ESC legend at this point.
As said. She won in 2012 and she has kind of become the queen of eurovision ever since. So people were very sceptical towards her cuz of that. You should react to her performance from 2012. The song is called Euphoria
She was by far the best that night. At this point, her voice is tired. Her finale performance was fantastic. My hats off to all the performers for giving us a great show and lots of wonderful moments.
Abba doesn’t even care that’s it’s the anniversar… they even said they are not making an appearance so why would Sweden make a big deal next year when THE Abba doesn’t even want to be there?
@@bornwithoutconsentobviously You do. You don't like it and that's fine. I wanted Finland to win, but if you didn't, then that is totally okay. It is almost sad that there is a guarantee for hate-comments. And honestly, maybe it is better if some people don't like Finland's song, otherwise the world would be a boring place.
Where is the research before the video? Eurovision doesn't allow lipsyncing. And that's the whole video just trying to spot lipsyncing which isn't happening. Also, watching AND JUDGING the winning performance... really?
Just a few points from a Eurovision stan from the US: 1) everyone should partake in the joy of Eurovision 😂 - the entries start to show up on Spotify & RU-vid, usually beginning in January/February (after Junior Eurovision) and the 2 semis & grand final have been on Peacock the last 3 years; 2) as much as Finland's Käärijä's Cha Cha Cha is a legit banger, Loreen was the expected winner for weeks going into May due to her vocals; 3) as far as voting is concerned, Käärijä & Loreen essentially soaked up most of the votes, leaving some performers with pitiful scores - not just cringe, but painful to see (especially acts like Germany's Lord of the Lost's Blood & Glitter); 4) I echo the sentiments of other commenters regarding singing live, backing tracks, checking out Loreen's Euphoria (winning song from 2012), & how Loreen did well not just with the jury but also with the televote (speaking of which, you should check out how voting works - meaning the 12 point system); 5) Käärijä seems to be making the most of his popularity - he seems to be having a lot of well deserved fun; 6) this is, IMO a notable live performance by Loreen ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--t4q8bijcnE.html #12PointsFromPittsburgh
The Final Performance in Melodifestivalen was waay better when it comes to staging since she couldn't bring those 2 massive screens/blocks with her to Livepool. So they created to smaler versions without the effect on the uper block. But we won anyway! ❤
2:20 Loreen is the one best vocalists in this year's Eurovision and Loreen herself has said the song is very difficult to sing and she somehow doubles down by singing while laying down. It's amazing talent that she has!
I agree that Loreen is a really strong vocalist, but honestly i think Dilja from Iceland was even more impressive, especially with all the crazy stunts she was doing while singing. I was heartbroken when she didn't qualify
People are just very mad cuz she won before and they say “she’s had her time” but it was a well deserved win and a lot of people love it. Norway was crazy good tho😮💨 And yeah it’s 100% live, it’s not allowed with auto tune or anything I Eurovision and her singing style is just the way she’s singing and performing hahah. The song is so good
There is always that uproar when the televote winner does not win the contest. For your information , Loreen came second in the televote en first with the jury vote. There were years that the winner was 100% televote and believe me, those were eurovision worst years.
I still remember when Ukraine won in 2016 without winning neither the televote nor the jury vote. And in 2019, the televote winner came in 6th place.... Finland's fans should be proud for their second place instead of throwing hate on Loreen.
Finland was way more of a fun song than really a vocal performance or an artist sent to win a song contest. yes it was more fun to listen and vibe along with Finland but Käärijä his singing just really isn't good. The performance and dancing carried their whole entry. Sweden however, Loreen is an incredible vocalist, the song was really passionate, songwriting wise it was amazing and the staging and filming of her performance was amazing as well. She just was a totalpackage while Finland was more a niche song. The jury is there to judge on the technical side of the vocals and songs, the televoting is just there to show which performance the public just thought was more fun. It's still Eurovision Song Contest, not Eurovision Fun Contest. Also don't forget that 3 or 4 countries got 200+ votes from televoting so it's not like Finland was the favorite of everyone across the globe and in cases like that the jury voting is the tiebreaker and I really don't see why it should be unfair or rigged that the song that is technically and vocally the best wins
What nonsense. First of all, they are not allowed to mimic during the live, they have to sing live and they are not allowed to use autotune. Then you are reviewing her performance after she knew she had won, she was full of adrenaline which made her sing less well. You have to hear her performance in the semi-final, that was her best performance, but it was also good in the live. This is the best song of this year, class it is and the rightful winner. The performance is top notch and so are the visuals and then that voice, rock solid. But she didn't get her big stage like in Sweden, which was a shame. In Belgium they don't play Finland on the radio stations, they don't like it haha. Loreen and Norway are played here. Loreen is also the rightful winner because she now proves that she did indeed win with more than 100 million streams on spotify alone. And in most countries it scores much better than Finland. Many people miss the televote: very many people don't vote, they don't want to give their money. It was clear that those who were pro Finland were willing to spend the most money on it, but globally we are seeing something completely different and Loreen is crushing Finland almost everywhere.
Once they've already beaten the competition, they do a winner's performance where they just get chance to enjoy themselves on stage, so it's not usually to the same standard as their first performance of the night!
you should check out her cover of "it's all coming back to me now" and react to it (i'd love to hear your technical opinion on it) - she sung it live and didn't miss a note! definitely shows she's an amazing vocalist!
Eurovision is ALWAYS live. An you're watching the winner's reprise when she had already won so she was really under a lot of adrenaline. Loreen is iconic in evey sense od the word; incredible talent, very spiritual so her performance also reflected that. ABBA is not even going to be involved in the contest so the rumours surrounding that are ridiculous.
Loreen has such a powerful voice. Thank you Tristan for reacting to Eurovision! Please please react to Marco Mengoni from Italy! He won the Sanremo contest this year and performed “let it be” with the Kingdom Choir during the contest ❤
She 100% deserved to win, people are just mad that Finland didn't win because this was the first time in YEARS that they had even a shot at winning and they didn't. People just have to realize that when Loreen participates she is guaranteed to win because she knows what she's doing.
Loreens performance certainly is one we have never seen at Eurovision before. The artistry and incredible vocals are recurring through her entire discography. Her winning song for Eurovision 2012 is definitely worth a listen as well!
