@Thalia Santana Yo no insultaría a Marc Anthony que ademas es un gran músico, mucho menos si usas nombres como Luis Fonsi Alejandro Sanz o Bubble Bisbal que en cuanto a Voz o tecnica de verdad estan bien cortos. En lo que si coincido es en que Luis Miguel esta en la elite de la historia de la musica latina, alli con Jose Jose, Juan Gabriel, camilo Sesto, Rocio Durcal, etc.

He might be my favorite male singer but his not actually in my top 5: 1.- Luis Miguel 2.- José José 3.- David Bisbal 4.- Joe Secada (in the 90s) 5.- Juan Gabriel (before his voice become raspy) But that doesn't mean his not a cool singer, as I said he's my favorite and actually I'm learning how to sing by listening his song.

Marc is an AMAZING artist. I have been to 6 of his concerts in my lifetime and have never been disappointed (except for wishing he could keep on singing to me all night long Ha!). He is exceptionally talented and gives his audience a great show. No gimmicks, no flashy shows, or exuberant dancer. Just him, his voice, back-up singers and a great Salsa band!

I spent three days with him on his first engagement ever in Chile some ten years ago. Didn't know much about him before but became a huge fan. Very charismatic, huge talent, very nice to those who worked with him and sharp as a whip.

First time reacting to this emotional masterful voice. I think there are other songs where he shows up his voice and we all feel are taylored for him. This a great song, wich takes a great performer, since Juan Gabriel set the bar very high as you notice on your first reaction featuring this song, and Marc definitely lives up to it. Marc Anthony - one of the most influential modern Latin singers. King of Salsa. He is known in the Anglo market for his rare hits in English, but it is in Spanish were he shines and truly shows his singing ability and passion. This song was first performed by Juan Gabriel. Who is Marc Anthony idol. Juan Gabriel had passed away and recently so he paying respects to him by singing his song. So for him is very emotional and personal.

This song for those of you that don't speak Spanish, is one of the sadest songs in the history of all Spanish speaking countries. The song basically is saying I used to be happy because my mother taught me how to and I lived very well........ until I met you. Marc's video of this song without these long vocal notes and the piano arrangement is really nice. This song made Marc a superstar. The song was written by another singer that made this song famous originally called Juan Gabriel. Marc has one of the best Latin voices ever.

There is a reason why he is the most successful Latino singer ever! He is truly gifted. He's been compared to the likes of Frank Sinatra, not too bad of company i'd say, Indeed not. Thank you for doing this video, myself being Puerto Rican, it gives me great joy and pride to have someone that is such a tour de force vocally! You should here his English album there's the one song he sings called " My Baby You" it is so filled with passion and and emotion that when I first heard it, I'm not ashamed to say I had tears in my eyes. Beth , your commentary on this was excellent and your observations on point. Splendid work that you do. However as an aside, Marc Anthony recorded that song in the mid 90s . Much younger he was, listen to the RU-vid original recording from the 1st album ; Contra la corriente, and then you'll hear his majestic voice.
