@@gabrielguerrero7296 no, campeón.
I'm an Argentinean living in Germany, and my life happens in English, and I have to say, for some reason this video made me cry. When Gustavo hits that "no seas tan cruel" it just freaking hit hard. Like a bag full of bricks straight in the home-sickness...

I've never seen a band play a local show and draw as many fans as Soda Stereo did...not once but many times. It is a real shame Gustavo passed...RIP man, your music will never die.
I regret not going to see them in their reunion tour when they came to LA. I didn't discover soda until 5yrs after they separated, so it made me cry when he passed away. Te extrañamos Gustavo.
He brought a whole package to rock: Songwriting skill, musicianship, leadership attitude, performance, empathy with his fans and an amazing look !!! Who can fail with all those blessings !!!???
Gustavo Cerati is a truly Hero (icon) on the Latin American scene; there are no words to describe his incredible talent as a songwriter, singer and guitarist. Soda Stereo is undoubtedly one of the most important bands that Latin American rock has had. Thank you for posting this reaction. 🔥
Gracias! Perfect timing Beth! Today is National Musician Day in Argentina and this is the perfect way to salute them, with the biggest argentinian band of all times. Thanks!

D.E.P. (R.I.P.), Gustavo. AGUANTE, SODA! These guys are from Argentina and I am from Perú. As a kid during the early to mid 1980's, their music is what helped me enjoy such awesome memories.
He was a plagiarist, most of his songs were copied from the police or other groups, even a Chilean communist song he made it as his own to piss of his ex wife

Sometimes I feel these “English speaker reacting to Soda Stereo” is just a cheap way to get more viewers, but at the same time it’s great that the English speaking world gets a taste of this band, to me this guy was John and Paul in one person , really no equal in the music world. Cheers
I'm an English speaker but I discovered soda stereo before this video through the song 'De Musica Ligera' by accident on youtube, and got hooked on ever since 😁😊
BETH ROARS analyzed one of the most impressive monsters in the history of world music. In the Anglo scene, Gustavo Cerati is not known for limiting the language and deciding to develop his career only in the Latino field. That deprived the world of meeting a unique, wonderful and unrepeatable artist. But thanks to beautiful people like you, Cerati is already a little better known. Thanks from Argentina Beth!
As Argentinian this is amazing to see. Watching you react to such an important part of our culture is very uplifting, it's a part of our legacy to the world as a country. Keep it up!
I´m Mexican , and Soda Stereo if for me the most influential Latin American band. There where lots of great bands from the same time, mostly from 3 countries: México, Argentina (a lot) and Chile, but no one like Soda Stereo. Big hit for your channel, there are some other songs from them, in pretty different styles. One technical detail to point out: Did you hear at 3:23 the phrase "tus ojos, nunca mentirán" ("your eyes will never lie") ? it was sang in perfect tuning at unison with an 8 note scale in the guitar. BTW is so hard to try to play the guitar in the way that Gustavo Cerati did and sing at the same time. R.I.P Gustavo, Greetings from México, great video as ever Beth !
I just love Gustavo. One interesting thing: Gustavo was left-handed, but it was so difficult to find an appropriate guitar for him when he was a boy, that he finally learnt to play with his right hand. Isn't he awesome? 💜
the_raven most lefties kind of force themselves to learn to do certain things right handed. I play guitar and bass right handed because by the time i realized a left handed guitar exists i didn’t want to go through the hassle of relearning the chord shapes.
I love your words. Please listen some other songs of Soda, you are gonna love them like we are from about 20 years. Have fun! Kisses from Buenos Aires, Argentina

Man, it gives me chills everytime I hear to him. As an Argentinian, knowing i won't ever be able to watch him live sucks. We really miss you, Gustavo. Gracias Totales!
I feel very fortunate to listen to SodaStereo and Gustavo Cerati since 1987, in 2006 Cerati came to my city in Arequipa Peru to show the live concert of the album "Ahi Vamos", it was an incredible experience, taking him 4 meters away from the stage. I have felt the pure and perfect sound, all the details, Cerati changes the different guitars to each song, at that moment, the sky seems to have its own sound, beautiful. Unrepeatable and magnanimous experience.

Gustavo Cerati and Soda Stereo are between the best that latin america gave birth to. Im so glad to see that all around the world there is so many people appreciating him and his music. Long live Gustavo. TE VEREMOS VOLVER.
As argentinian i wanna thank you for showing so much respect for one of our top artist of all time. Gustavo is no longer between us and i miss him so much, but you can bring him back to live just listen to his music.
Argentina has some pretty great musicians. Another great one that I grew up with is a band called Rata Blanca and they have a pretty great singer with them.
First of all, surprised to learn that you analysed Gustavo Cerati. I grew up listening to his work with Soda Stereo. The band and other Argentine rock groups led the "rock en español" movement which was blowback from the 1982 war between the UK and Argentina... Falklands War or Guerra de las Malvinas. They showed the Spanish speaking world that great work could be produced with lyrics in the Spanish language. Hello! Definitely a smooth voice, I am not trained, so glad to learn he was a tenor. Cerati always made sure to write poetry, his songs are all poetry and the lyrics are ambiguous, full of secret messages, usually with lots of sexual innuendo and double entendre. I went to one of their shows in Panama in 1995... where Cerati did a no show, so the audience damaged some of the television screens. The show was postponed for a few days but he finally was in shape to perform on a summer evening, open air concert in Panama City. Practice your "woohoo's" haha, loved that!
I´m so happy that lately there's a huge wave of reaction videos from Soda Stereo / Gustavo Cerati. He was so talented and his music so awsome that i totallyi feel he deserves more exposure in the non-Spanish speaking world. Oh and today in Argentina we celebrate the music day so this video came in the perfecto moment! Keep on roaring!
You have to listen "Gustavo Cerati" (the SodaStero's vocalist) or "Luis Alberto Spinetta" (the idol of Gustavo Cerati). And I LOVE you! Grettings from Ushuaia-Argentina

Check the song "Entre caníbales", made for the MTV unplagged.

Soda Stereo wan an amazing band, the most famous rock band in spanish. Now, you have to react to another Argentine band, Pescado Rabioso, their live performance of “Despiértate Nena/Corto/ Pescado Rabioso” in 1973 is outstanding and there are 2 singers and they were at their prime. You know, Argentina is known as the land of Rock in spanish language, specifically Buenos Aires (city in Argentina)... every musician in the 70’s wanted to move to Buenos Aires because there was a huge movement with Progressive Music. Buenos Aires was what London was for English musicians in the 60’s. Also in Buenos Aires, in 1972 took place one of the biggest festivals of Latin America, called “Hasta que se ponga el sol”, It was like the Woodstock of spanish speakers

I was at one of their concerts in Miami back in 2007 he sounds exactly the same every time. He was such a performer and perfectionist. I was hypnotized. It was a dream come true, I cried, my friend cried. We grew up listening and watching the their last concert videos and being there was just a dream come true. Being able to experience their all, I got the chills now.
"sometimes you think you are taking the wrong turn, but actually you're making the best choice you could've" Damn. I'm 36, from Argentina and I was in this very concert.... man, this guy had such a powerful and emotional voice. I've been fortunate enough to see many other artists with great voices (Roger Waters, Shakira) and to be fair, he is just on a league of his own. If you want to see something really cool about Gustavo, you should check out "11 episodios sinfonicos". It was recorded live, where he'd do symphonic versions of his own songs (and also Soda Stereo's). Soda Stereo is by far my favorite band, their music is not only great but their lyrics are extremely powerful, and Gustavo's voice was always alluring.
I was nerver a big Soda Stereo fan ,byt I must admit that they were perhaps the best band in South America at the time... and Gustavo Cerati an excellent artist. Greetings from an Argentine living in Sweden 🇦🇷🇸🇪
Thanks for showing the World our love for Soda Stereo and for Gustavo Cerati in particular. We are so proud of them. Love from Buenos Aires, Argentina 🥰🥰🥰
Hi , teacher! I' m understand some staff. You explain an important thing. Gustavo Cerati sing with a " natural voice". She had a tenor range. Excellent!! Thank you! You explain very well❤
Oh gosh, I wasn't expecting this! Cerati is amazing (yes, present tense). I would love a reaction to Charly Garcia (early stuff, like stuff he made in Seru Giran or La Máquina de hacer Pájaros) or Divididos, Mollo has a very interesting voice.
The best thing about this song apart from the excellent interpretation of Gustavo Cerati is what many of us say in our youth we identified ourselves (daring the forbidden to run away with her and her with her fears and excuses, that's why "don't be so cruel" , that letter is fire)
The best rock band from Latin America!!! Thank you for reacting to them! Maybe next time you could react to "corazón delator" another great song of this magic band. Saludos de Argentina 💙💙💙
