I believe Jessie has a heart problem all her life and was meant to perform this song the previous week but had to go back to London to hospital as her heart was playing up again. She came back and against doctors orders she preformed this song so it had a special meaning to her about her heart going on.

She went through so much to perform this song, she was trying not to faint during the song. She would originally perform this song on the previous episode as a celebration of the Titanic movie’s 20th anniversary, which by coincidence would be same day of the show. Nevertheless, she had to be flown back to London in order to get medical attention from specialists because she has a heart condition since teenager and couldn’t perform. So, she decided to keep the song for this episode because it was a way to thank all the people supporting her during that difficult phase, knowing they really wanted to watch her perform that song, and basically because it got a whole new meaning: “my heart will go on”. I think this is the most personal and humble performance Jessie J has delivered, ever. When she got first place for this week (extra credits because not having performed last time her votes were 0 and was informed she strongly needed a really good result on this show), she said it was one of the most nerve wrecking moments of her life, and that it wasn’t Jessie J performing, but Jessica singing on stage using a Jessie J’s dress. Oh, and here’s the cherry of the pie: Jessie J got back to China just in time to get on stage and perform (not fully recovered and warned by her doctors trying to prevent her from flying back), she couldn’t rehearse the song and what you watched was basically the first try. I don’t usually cry with a performance, but man, I can’t help getting emotional every single time I watch this... it’s so deep, honest and meaningful. I invite you to watch the performance again, now that you have this context; I bet you will be moved by every note, every gesture, every touch of her chest, every silence and yes... Every act of vulnerability and imperfection. Because Jessie was born more vulnerable than any of us, and ironically, that is what built her of steel and gold. That lady is one of a kind.
Jessie J had been hospitalized the week before due to her heart condition and missed the previous performance. She flew back to China against doctors advice and arrived just in time to perform without the opportunity to rehearse. She felt as if she were about to faint and was fighting to make it through the performance. HONESTLY, I believe her performance surpassed Celine Dion's. Why did she laugh? She had a stroke at 16 years old and was told that she would never walk normally and would never be able to sing. She is very underrated and underappreciated in the industry. I believe she was laughing at all the naysayers who told her that she would never be able to sing because of the stroke and heart condition, or have the strength/endurance to go on tours, and doctors/others who advised/told her not to fly back to China. She was ill. It should go down as one of the greatest live performances of all time. Thanks.
Jessie J was the first Western singer ask to compete on the Singer. It was a bold move on her part but strategically a brilliant one. She is truly not given the respect she deserves both in the UK and in the US and she went to China and won over a billion new fans. She won the competition and then toured the country, I find it amazing she had to travel half way around the world to prove her talent and artistry.
Hey Yazik, since you reacted to this programme, there is another singer you should not miss out. The young and multi-talented Chinese singer Hua Chenyu! Both Jessie J and Hua Chenyu are contestants of Singer 2018, Jessie won the finale and Hua got 2nd place. In fact Jessie and Hua kind like dominated this show as the most time they got the majority of votes. Hua Chenyu is the most versatile singer I've ever seen. He is so unique that I haven't discovered a similar artist even neither in Eastern or Western yet! I want to recommend "Nunchucks" and "Child" that Hua performed on Singer 2018's stage, in ep.6 and ep.5. "Nunchucks" is a song rearranged by Hua, it naturally compromised different genres, shows a basic idea of how versatile he is. But "Child", a completely different side of him and shows his incredible vocal ability! Please react to these two!

"Nunchucks" is a song about young men of streets, they are fascinated by martial arts. During the filming of TV program "Singer" in 2018, "Hua Chenyu" has spent 48 hours to make an adaptation of the song . He put in multi musical elements like opera, rap, chinese tradional opera & rock. His stage performance is awesome & also amazing. You would never regret.

I would like to share with you things that were happening to Jessie J there before and during this performance. It is a bit long but it is worth the reading. Jessica Ellen Cornish A.K.A "Jessie J" has a heart condition called Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. This song meant so much to her and to her fans because of this condition. I will explain below. I have the same heart condition. I do know what she was feeling and I know she made a TITANIC effort to remain on her feet and even much more to sing her heart out as she did. This illness causes irregular heartbeat, insanely increases your heartbeat rate, shortness of breath, fainting, angina (chest pain), and may cause sudden death due to cardiac arrest. In this recording she is performing on Episode 9. Jessica fainted during the rehearsals for episode 8 because she was having angina (chest pain). The pain is indescribable, trust me. It is like having cramps in your heart - like the ones you have in your legs when exercising? well just like that, but in your heart. Therefore she couldn't perform for that episode. She had to be taken back in emergency to England where she was hospitalized and kept there for over a week to stabilize her. But then despite doctor's orders she went back to China to perform and arrived there just a few hours before the show for Episode 9 started. Once the heart gets to this point where you are having the angina, it is hard to take it back to its normal heartbeat and this causes you extreme weakness, sensation of suffocation (maybe this is why she breaths when apparently not needed), and a constant feeling of wanting to faint. That is why she was shaking at the end. Not because she was nervous as she says, but because how weak she felt. For some reason she simply would hide it from us all. Maybe she did not want to worry us. I know that when the results were given of this performance and they announced her as the winner of this episode, she stood up to talk and went down immediately while apologizing for sitting down, because she was extremely dizzy and that is because of the lack of oxygen in your brain due to your heart going too fast or jumping all over the place. Notice how at the beginning of her performance the look in her eyes was like lost. That stray look she had it through out all her performance. Also you could notice the generalized weakness. There is one point at the beginning where she drops her arms and exhales like showing exhaustion 4:07 . Notice also how when she lifts both of her arms, her left arm never seems to reach the same height as the right arm, that happens because the left side of your body holds your heart and your heart is not pumping the blood well so your left arm feels much heavier (3:10, 3:55, 4:34, 5:16, 5:57 etc)That is how I knew she was still struggling with the post effects of the relapse of her heart condition. Just before the climax of the song almost at the end of it where she pauses (5:48), notice how she turns her head back to the band conductor towards her right and moves her head in signal of approval like saying "yes I am gonna do it" She knew she could faint.. She was feeling really bad, so she wasn't sure if she could finish or not the song as planned so I bet she agreed with the conductor whether she would do or not that ending you watched there. How she could pull this off is beyond my comprehension, and I guess hers too. What she was going through was not child's play. Notice that at 7:21 she stops and smiles while touching her chest I guess she was saying to herself ... "I did it, I fooled death" ... Because that is what she did, she could have had a cardiac arrest right there... And despite all this she did it all for us and for herself. Her performance was basically flawless, her rendition beyond expectations, etc, etc, etc. In my humble opinion, besides being an outstanding performer, an incredible story teller and one of the best vocalists that has ever walked on this earth, she is also a remarkable and awesome human being. I am very proud of her!

I'm from USA and we have issues with Russia because of Trump. But Dimash is a singer only wanting the world to hear his incredible voice. He has always said he wants love and peace in the world. Jessie J had serious heart problems & her heart condition was making her faint a lot. She flew to the UK to get treatment & her doctors advised to not travel. She flew back to china for the live shows and didnt even rehearse the song that was her 1st time performing it.
Of course, it was a deliberate and beautiful choice to put a growl in at the end of the song, and it was all the more dramatic for it. She's equalled only by the great Streisand among female singers. Her timing, like her tone, is absolutely immaculate.

She is sick the night before that. (Heart conditions) The doctors said "her life will never be normal again" her priority was to get back to London. but still she went back to China 18hrs before this performance. Because she said she could make it. That's why she chosen this song too.
