Great video man. Supurb tips, #4 memo is a great one. I do this with lyris as I free style vocals on live takes... and speech to text saves me sooo much time and allows for faster writing. Melody samples are a great way to do the same for sure 👊🧡👍

Fun fact: Martin O'Donnell sang some of the vocals in Halo himself, the ones that go like HEEYOO HOO YAAA or something on that one track. Iirc he was kinda embarrassed about it at the time, but it sounds so damn natural in the final mix. I still don't have a mic and I really should get one, cause here's another thing, it doesn't have to be amazing quality if you're not delivering crisp lead vocals. Hell, some bad mics have some character! Especially if you're going for certain raw sounds. Also, resynthesis! How fun is it to just come up with an elaborate neuro bassline and INSTANTLY get the general idea out, if not surprise yourself with how cool the resynthesis makes it with some tweaks. You can also just growl a bunch and pick and choose how you move through the wave, or at least chop stuff out and arrange, I just got Harmor again last week and saw Savant do this, I gotta try.
