This demo demonstrates choir boy skills~! Enjoy! Song Title: Going Home Song By: Antonin Dvořák VSQX/Mixing: MasterVocaloid and Anders Sodergren Art: Lawlietlk VOCALOID3 Oliver is coming very soon!
Oh my god. I remember first hearing this song when i was in middle school and being OBSESSED. And now im in Nakano, Tokyo where i hear this song everday at 4pm. Its the same pacing of the new world march so i was like why do i recognize it!?!? Im not going to cry.
Ollie sounds so angelic here! Sad he won't get a V4 (or higher upgrades in the future) since the voice recorders can't contact the voice provider of Oliver, and the voice provider would be older and not have the cute choir boy voice anyways :(
I like oliver! Oliver is an "Engloid" released by vocaloid in 2012. The sound provider is an 13 yr old english boy. And this song is So similar to the music of my school bell!
As a Brit myself, I feel so proud that such an amazing Vocaloid came from Britain. He sounds so beautiful in this and I just love him overall. There are other amazing Vocaloids too, but Oliver is really special since I found Vocaloid because of him.
=w= ah, I could listen to this forever... sooo beautiful and relaxing... people ask me why i love Oliver so much. they obviously have never heard the amazingness of his voice
English Vocaloid singing a song composed by Czech. I am proud of you people. And proud of Oliver. He has awesome voice &awesome design... I love him. Let's see what will people do when he comes out~
@Brynnabin It's called not reading the comments. Also, Yuki was voiced by a kid. That, evidently, hasn't stopped anyone. (And I don't see how calling someone...something... a shota is sexy talk, but okay.)
@Epilum Hello~ Character designer here. C: I gave him bandages to fit PowerFX's theme of "monster" VOCALOIDS. Sweet Ann and Big Al both sport Frankenstein-eqsue stitches. When designing Oliver I tried putting stitches on him as well, but they looked very wrong. So we went with bandages instead. You're free to dislike them, regardless of why they're there, but at least you now know why he has them. 8P
@shiHoReloaded Funny sort there... While looking for choir songs that would be good for an Oliver demo, I ran across Libera and absolutely fell in love. They sang this and I knew it would be perfect for Oliver, so I presented it to the rest of the team, and they all agreed that it would make a nice demo. 8P
there's a group called Libera and they're a group of british choir boys and the also sang this song, I wonder if one of them is the voice provider of Oliver...
@SuperFlashfish Irony = most only know Engloids exist because of Miku. Vocaloid was a relatively unknown software prior to Miku. Miku made Vocaloid famous and here we are at this point.
I wasn't even looking at the subtitles, and I understood his pronunciation quite clearly. ;u; I can't wait for his release and all the *coughcoverscough* songs gonna be made with his voice. *insert my love here*
*head desk* I wrote the story...his back story and said he had blue eyes... I draw him a lot... Yet I screwed up... Anyway doing good guys! Keep up the good work!!
Yeah, as a British person, occasionally his vowels sound a bit off at times - as if some pronounced in a British accent, and others in a Japanese accent. Still, he's absolutely gorgeous and I want to give him a hug and take him home myself
@PinkAura8 Neck and neck to you maybe, but they're both completely different voice wise and character wise. Len a a young man that has a great voice and is basically is for the fangirls to corrupt and drool over :P While Oliver is a young man with a very beautiful voice and and very uke demeanor.
@Brynnabin Kaai Yuki was also voiced by a little kid and man do people do some weird stuff with her so there's no point in lecturing the Oliver fans since its vocaloid and really meant for creativity.....lmao
@RaventailBlacktalon "Shota" usually means a male who is post-pubescent, but still retains the childlike appearance (such as Kagamine Len or Hunni-semapi). Oliver is a case where he is a cute boy, but is not shota. Though the term has been perverted through out the years so people who have a shotacon (shota complex) don't feel like pedophiles.
I agree...even though he is voiced by a 13 year old British boy he does sound like he's got a bit of a Japanese accent which is really weird but...his voice is beautiful and he does sound like a choir boy so success! ^.^
@Aunpaidintern "shouta" doesn't refer to any one nationality, and it's any young boy in general, regardless of the gender or age of their voice provider. So, yes, Oliver actually IS a shouta - sincerely, a non-fangirl.
@asa1taiyou When I designed him I just sort of assumed they weren't really tied so much as stuck to his face with adhesive or staples or something. So they stop right below his hairline, and right in front of his ear.
@magicoone Its actually a common fault of a lot of the Vocaloids and isn't restricted by language. which is ironic because many P's like to tune Vocaloids very high, but it does them no good.. >_
i challenged myself a bit on this one; i tried to see if i could understand the words w/out looking @ the subtitles. guess what? I COULD Oliveerrr~ *___*
He has a good range :) But, certain words are not as good as others in high range. Like 'Mother's been' and the 'wai' in waiting. As well as 'close by'. and 'open'. Though the rest are quite understandable :) I really can't wait to hear more
@Aunpaidintern Um, Shota doesn't specifically mean they have to be Japanese. Carl Clover from Blazblue isn't Japanese and most people consider him shota.
@TriXJester Woah woah since when did we say THAT?! o3o I think you may be referencing a false source of information. We all have different ideas of how they're related to each other, whether it be by blood, friendship, or simply a job. There is no official canon explanation for the relationship between any of the PFX VOCALOIDS.
@Aunpaidintern I know right? Crypton says she wasnt even suppose to get this popular. But Im guessing(becuz now everyone what's a V's Avatar in anime style) you need to have that one popular voicebank that represents all the other ones like in japanese animes. However she took it way to the max and now people are too caught up with her & Japanese Vocaloids. Ugh oh well. I think people can still get Leon, Lola, or Miriam but if anything happens to them 'to bad' you'll have to get a newer vocaloid
I think they should make Oliver sing the three parts from 'Reflections of a Lad at Sea' I bet his voice would sound exceptional with 'The Captain's Mate'
will Oliver get a demo so we can try him out? Because I am not allowed to get him for christmas until it's seen by my parents that i have and can use him(because i have brought some programs that i thought of tons of ways to use and found out they aren't that great and i couldn't do what i wanted and thus stopped using them after a few days). Either way though i can't wait for him to be released! I wanna hear all his covers, and original songs!!!! :D
Overall this Oliver Demo is good but, I still hear a Clarinet-y weirdness with some of his lower long note sounds(I dunno how you say it X / ) He's definatelyunderstandable over all but I wonder if editing was used because some people needed to edit Lola or Leon due to there raw voices not being completely understandable. People are having debates over whether or not he's shota. To me he is and is not shota. He's girly/cute to an extant but, draw him in a dress and we'll see then i:
One reason why I like Oliver better than Len? He's twin/lover/mirror image lacking, so I can put myself into the place that Rin normally took.....XD Need another reason? Oliver speaks English. 'Nuff said. O///O
@Aunpaidintern The English language is harder, so while there is little difference overall, the English language itself is much harder to synethise then languages such as Japanese. While true Ann was better quality then Miku, Ann has more dificulty copying her intended language. But yes, its a shame better Voclaoids then Miku go unnoticed overall. The VY series pretty much rewrote a few rules as well as it were.
