Brief installation summary and Speed test of Vodafone UK 910Mbps Full Fibre broadband powered by CityFibre. Only Vodafone PRO Broadband is supplied with a gigabit capable router.
I got the old box they're doing everything they can not to send me a new one City Fibre are horrible to deal with and the most I'm getting is 200mbps I spent £180 on tp link equipment the main hub handles 5400mbps wifi it's wired connection to the Vodafone box most I'm getting is 250mbp so it went up 50mbp but at least I'm getting more than 10mbps in the bedroom of a 1 bedroom small flat huh can you do this video again or edit you showing your wireless WiFi connection as well I'm going crazy with my Internet thanks
How are your speeds wirelessly? I’ve just got the full fibre 910 package, the standard one which comes with the Power Hub/Router with Wi-Fi 6. Wired in with Ethernet we have been seeing 500-900 up and down dependant on time and device. But wirelessly just in the next room about 6 metres from the router, I’m getting 15-40 up and down max on my phone and smart tv, which is pretty shocking
Using the supplied Vodafone WiFi 5 router then things weren't too bad. Range was OK but it would never do the full 910 up and down due to channel bandwidth limitations. Obviously I then purchased my own WiFi 6 router and it's absolutely fine. Your issue sounds like 2.4Ghz speeds where your device is not picking up the higher band. I'd suggest going into the router and (if you're able to) change the 5Ghz channel to 100 or higher. That would be my first step at least. I find WiFi 6 isn't the strongest signal at all but the higher the channel it does get better, less interference etc
@@nikidack thanks for that. I appreciate it. They must have changed the packages since you bought yours as the standard package comes with the “power hub” WiFi 6 router. I’ll give that a go. Thanks again!
Yes I think the new WiFi 6 router was a recent offering, I tried to upgrade but they weren't interested. Just try and ensure channel bandwidth on the 5Ghz is 80Mhz or the full 160Mhz if it's supported / showing as an option. These should be set as default but something is clearly not right. Best of luck!
