I went to court today and found a man reading Family Driven Faith. Was was glad to tell him about Dr. Baucham's latest book which I'm about halfway through.
Remember that Matt Chandler helped further the blacklisting of Voddie with his public comment that was plainly aimed at him. I paraphrase it as telling white Christians that they shouldn't listen to black Christians whom they agree with. Just listen to the bad types whom Chandler was fond of platforming, the Thabitis and Eric Masons and Jemar Tisbys.
My local library has this book believe it or not. You must be very specific when you search the data base, it seems they are making it difficult to find but it’s there.
@39:29 Love them, but don't compromise. Don't reach out just to convince them they are wrong. You have to really be a friend, from your heart. I have a family member who is "non-binary." I love this person by being present, helping this person when needed, and just normal everyday kindness and friendship. However, I do not compromise on these issues and the person knows that. We just mostly stay away from these topics, but when they come up, I state the biblical position. I just pray that the Lord will open eyes and bring to repentance.
@@darthbigred22 I don't understand why people assume I don't speak the truth as well. There is a time for everything. Notice I said don't reach out JUST to convince them they're wrong. Genuinely love them always. Speak truth always. Opportunities arise to speak the gospel, which is what they need.
They want to have nothing to do with Voddie, or his voice doesn’t matter on this issue because he’s not “authentic?” Isn’t that, like, reverse ethnic Gnosticism, or reverse standpoint epistemology?
I wish many of you lived in the real world. You're never going to expose their hypocrisy because they don't care. They believe in their evil no matter what. In that sense we should be ashamed we don't hold the line against them no matter what like they do us.
I really doubt Lindsay would come on this show. He's allergic to anyone that isn't sufficiently liberal. He's done some great work but don't expect him on your side unless you're a liberal
@@jesse123185 Come on, that is simply untrue. He has done tons of events with genuine Christians! In fact, there are some Christians who even endorsed his new book 'The Queering of the American Child,' including Andy Woodard, Darrell B. Harrison (can't get more "conservative" and "Christian" than that!), Michael O'Fallon, Jon Benzinger, Bill Roach, and others. You don't have to agree with Dr. Lindsay, or even like him. But at least be fair. He's done so much on behalf of Christians and churches, despite being an atheist. (Or however he identifies these days.) We need to be praying for him. And we need to treat him well. I think it really hurts him that he's just used for his knowledge and then treated poorly by (some) Christians. That's a disgrace.
@@Yesica1993 believe what you want about him. I didn't say he was anti-christian. I said he's a liberal as in a classic liberal. I've seen his Twitter interactions with right wing Christians he often just refuses to speak with them. He spend some of his time counter signaling "Christian nationalism" which is really just people that want the ruling class to be ,gasp, Christians. Again I fully acknowledged that he has done some great work he just seems to class everyone as an enemy to the right of Jordan Peterson
I understand how important it is to expose the Darkness, but please comment on this passage regarding the vulgarity that you said is in the book. Ephesians 5:11 “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Ephesians 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.”
