Doesn't matter which character Sam's playing, but whenever Sam and Travis have a duo scene, it is always gold.

I love how Tary has barely been around but he has already been to 3 of the 4 Ashari tribes

"Can I be a door?" No Keyleth, you're only 17th level. Doors are epic level. Even the Tarrasque fears them

I see the poor potion merchant and can't help it but think about the cabbage guy from Avatar.

New critter here and I can’t believe I’m 25 episodes away from the end of campaign 1. It’s been a wild ride, I laughed, I cried a few times. I can’t wait for campaign 2.

If I ever run a Tal'dorei campaign, it will take place long after the retirement of Vox Machina, and that basilisk egg will still be circling around in the economy, with everyone who buys or sells it being convinced that it's actually an egg of mystical power. And maybe everyone will believe it so hard that, through the divine power of belief, it somehow becomes true.

It’s absolutely fascinating watching Tary fumble through a simple white lie while I remember that Scanlan successfully convinced and intimidated two massive efreets into believing that he had a goristro as a pet. Sam is so good at staying true to his characters.

One of my favourite things is how much Travis enjoys Matt's work. There's always a "Matty, good job, man" from him. It's so sweet.

What i like about Tary vs Scanlan is that where Scanlan was purposefully fulfilling a comic relief role, making people laugh and smile with quips and songs, Tary is funny by virtue of his own clumsy personality. Hes not misunderstood like Scanlan because of his big smile, he just is who he is.

i love the idea that this huge goliath who has looked death in the face, at least 5 times, is too nervous about dressing up that he went upstairs to take a nervous shit lmao

Fun fact about Keyleth's mother's name. Vilya is the Elvish Ring of Air in Lord of the Rings, worn by Elrond.

Pretty sure when Sam created Taryon Matt just let him have however much gold he felt he needed at any given time, trusting that the moments he would use it would be every bit as comedy gold as he was spending.

I love that Sam's mug has stickers on the bottom just like his giant mug did. As if he's using the same mug, but he's just bigger now. 😂

I just want them to remember at some point that vasselheim is not the best place to buy potions.

Critical Role: the only show where the cast spends half an hour to pointlessly (yet successfully) disguise an eight foot tall robot to look like a 'regular' person

d&d, the game where you can transform into a dragon, but still find the need to ask if you can turn into a door.

I mean, we all know the true reason why Keyleth can't shapechange into a door isn't because the spell just does creatures ... it's because a door's challenge rating is way too high for Vox Machina.

I love how the NPC sellers of Vasselheim are some of the side characters that have the most development and story progression

Grog's pride at still having Percy's glasses.....priceless.

Grog's look of joy when the children were compared to Gnomes is one of the reasons why we don't deserve this ball of rage and fluffiness

Matt's group vibe check with them inadvertantly sending a spy/servant to his death is hilarious

Taryon is the best negotiator ever. That store owner is going to be pissed when he finds out all he got was a rotten egg, 2 guards with broken jaws and beer all over them, puke in the front of his store, and he gave away his potions for free. I have a feeling he is going to be a big bad villain who shows up out of nowhere on the back of a Tarrasque.

Travis is such role model as to what you should strive to be as someone in D&D. his patience, ability to stay in character, he's amazing

I love how Travis and Sam spend an hour looking bored out of their minds as Matt gets caught up in a massive info dump only to steal the show as soon as they have control.

We may have lost the Scanlan and Grog buddy cop but we now have Taryon and Grog. These misadventures make the show just 10x better

My favorite episodes are when Travis is in a giggling mood. It's not often it happens, but if he's laughing out loud, the atmosphere solid.

It’s really really impressive just how much of a different energy Taryon has from Scanlan. It’s truly remarkable.

Taleisen got very interested suddenly when Matt began describing Lemurs and the souls that have made contracts with demons. And it was in that moment I realized that Percy was finding out what might’ve happened to him if he had died and was still bound to Orthax.

Jeez. I love how Sam plays Terry. He starts out as the most annoying character ever created. Like the counterpart for everyone. And he slowly wins them over one by one. By character, humor and a background story. He's science-bro's with Percy. Complementing Kyleth, giving her confidence and making her the hero of the story. Letting Grog do his thing and let him teach Terry bravery. Spend money like crazy for Vex. One left, Vax.

Please tell me grog is gonna try to use his title as "grand Poobah de doink of all of DIS and dat".

The Giddiness Matt feels during the whole robot disguise sidequest makes this excellent episode even better

I stand by the opinion that the best moments of Critical Role or any D&D game for that matter is when the group puts their serious attention towards the dumbest plan. Seriously watching Tary, Percy, and Vax working together tomake a disguise for a robot was an absolute joy.

I am a little surprised that while in the Cobalt Soul library, no one asked if the monk librarians if they could translate for them - am sure that they could have engaged one for a small fee ;)
