I hate that he gets so much flack for autotune. He uses it in a super creative way, not in a way to mask or hide his voice but to create a vibe for the song. And you can still hear his voice, which is nice.

When you started talking about just letting the song walk/breath, it reminded me of what my old band teacher used to express to us. A song is made up of both sound and silence, and sometimes you have to let the silence be the musical aspect as well. I think it gets forgotten that silence or "letting the song be" is such a crucial piece to remember because it provides a context too.

Admittedly I have never really listened to T-Pain's music. I thought he was an auto tunes guy who has the best interviews on the web. I happened to watch this review. The misconception was that he used autotune because he couldn't sing. T-Pain can SANG. He used autotune to create a vibe. I'm glad he's allowing us to see the real him. No facade. No gimmicks. Always my favourite artist from the 00s.

If you listened to TPain’s first couple of albums you would know that he is a real SANGA! Lol, he had quite a few songs without Auto tune.

The funny thing about T-pain is, even though he popularized autotune, he does not NEED autotune. Unlike a good bit of artist today. That's the part most people didn't understand. But I agree, I love how he lets the song breath and takes his time to tell the story. Honestly love the old school vibes of this song. It's giving Sam Cooke, dare I say it lol. I’m gonna go as far to say…. T-pain is probably one of the most talented and unique live singer in today’s age, the “husky” and unique sound of his voice is absolutely fire ! Been a huge fan of MR Tallahassee pain since day dot and I don’t care what people have to say about the use of auto tune. This is my opinion and I no people will think differently, but we all know he can sing like a beast, his use of auto tune is his was of making him self different and being creative, the industry was and still is full of wonderful singers, but his throwing his own mix on HIS music…. For me I love it and his influence on the industry has changed music massively.
