Well, I guess that answers my question about how you enjoyed this video..I loved the way that they changed the visual script for the 2 of them, instead of the Priest....Sundet is a lead at the Astana Opera..5th largest opera house in the world..it is beautiful..and where they wanted Dimash to join the Company..but luckily for us..Dimash wanted to explore different types of music..We would never have known him if he had only performed there....

Thank you for another great reaction, So many reactors are having trouble uploading their videos now. I love this performance. I think the difference between Dimash and other singers is that he lives each song - he inhabits it. To me this is why he shows and we feel so much emotion when he performs. @@DrMarcReynolds so happy you feel that way 😀. i paid dearly for indulging in that long comment the last time so i was saving up late autumn for when i could properly sit and savour your take on it but my plans got messed up when the notification for this one showed up. i couldn't resist tho and ended up watching it on the train during my lunch break on my way to my other uni. i thought i'd comment at the end of the day when i finally got home, only i found out my favourite climber david lama was caught in an avalanche and he'd been missing along with his two mates (their death was later confirmed when they eventually found their bodies 😢). i was devastated & nothing could lift me out of the darkness. listening to dimash just intensified the pain, which made me realize that mostly it's this ability he has to intensify whatever we're feeling that we crave. the deep emotions we can't help feel is what makes him most addictive bc it's such an incredible high. except when you're in pain, then he just takes you further down to the pits and it's just unbearable. anyway i’ve noticed you’ve also uploaded more reactions, i’m going to make the time to catch up. i can’t believe i’m behind, lol/yikes.

This performance took place in 2016 in the Big Opera television competition on the Russian Culture channel. Sundet took part in the competition and he invited Dimash to do this duet.

Dr. Marc, thank you, I love all the duets Dimash has been doing, & it's great hearing your comments on anything related to performances. Some songs I especially hope you react to are Swan Goose--Dimash & Mongolian singer Tengri w/throat singer, and two newer collaborations with Igor Krutoy (composer/pianist), Escolta La Voce & Love is Like a Dream. That last one is Dimash at his new best, imo. I always learn from your talks; thank you again.

My apologies from the top for the format here. I realize that I chopped the performance into tiny bits with my commentary in between. It was the only way I could get the video up without getting blocked. This is honestly iteration 10+ but I figured better something than nothing. So if it bothers you that there is so much stopping and too much talking in between for your taste - I hear you but it was the only way to get the video up - this format isn't my ideal either. But for those of you who were asking for me to react to this here it is -

Hunan TV and Dimash's Official Channel are safe to use in reactions but outside of that you run risk of blocks or, worse, a strike. This was a perfectly understandable approach to a performance that very few react to because of problems in the past with actual strikes. Kudos to you for taking it on at a perfectly appropriate moment.

It's great that you break it up and talk a bit because after the whole performance it's just too much to talk about. Pausing here and there is fine not every few seconds.

Welcome to the fan group! Im happy to see you found this performance. Great explanation about the performance, its something I didnt really think about, I just enjoyed it and their superb voices. Hello Marc, I really love this interpretation of Sundet and Dimash! And you made an analysis that brings the appreciation into a higher level! And yes the « Notre Dame de Paris » building is so meaningful in the French history, the great writer Victor Hugo was inspired by this monument! I think the text was written by Luc Plamondon while adapting « the hunchback of Notre Dame » to the opera! Sundet and Dimash used the song for a different story. But the staging reminds us of the atmosphere of the winter evenings in the monument. They are very good actors, the scenery is fantastic! Good job!

Dr. Marc Reynolds,Hello. It was very interesting to hear the professional opinion on the performance as a whole and the analysis of nuances. Thank you,informative and informative. This performance was in Moscow in 2016 as part of the project "Grand Opera",where Dimash was one of the contestants. I've heard that vystuplenie then live and several times in the past three years,but every time I have chills and tears welling from emotion. So the work of all the participants of the play has developed that my feelings from what I saw do not change over time.

Übervocal I think I read somewhere that this was a judged performance. Sundet was a contestant and he asked Dimash to sing a duet with him. If I recall correctly, Sundet went on to win the competition.

Good afternoon to you, Dr. Marc Reynolds. The wellknown French songwriter and singer Patrick FIORI who participated to the European Contest for France in 1993, and after that, he was “ Captain PHOEBUS” one of the three major characters of the musical “Notre Dame de Paris”,based of the novel from the great auther Victor HUGO played for the first time the 16 th September 1998 in “Palais des Congrès” from PARIS. The musical was written by the canadian Luc Plamandon (lyrics) and Richard COCCIANTE (music), a componist interpetor and singer from Italy. The stage director was Gilles MAHEU. Like Dimash in 2018, in duet with Sundet Baigozhin, from Kazaksthan too, who interpreted whith mastery “Tu vas me détruire”, in English, “you are going to destroy my life”. Thoroughly enjoyed the analysis of how they set up the performance and story through the lighting, set and costumes as you explained them, as the singing was self-explanatory and absolutely exceptional. I felt like I was taking part of a presentation in musical theatre.

Этот сюжет никакого отношения к мюзиклу "Нотр-Дам де Пари" не имеет. Это показательное выступление с измененным сюжетом и разбивкой арии Фролло на два действующих лица. Кавер, собственно говоря. А мюзикл до сих пор представляют во многих странах и на разных языках. В этом году осенью в Москве и Питере будут проходить гастроли мюзикла в оригинальной версии на французском языке.

Thank you for doing this performance. There is another outstanding artist from China named Hua Chenyu who is an incredible performer who can captivate an audience and tell a story, often causing the audience to think he is telling his own story when in fact it sometimes is and sometimes is not. Please check out Hua Chenyu, " Fake Monk" which is spell binding as well as "Dad, I'm Home" which left me in tears believing it was his story. It wasn't.

@@DrMarcReynolds Dr. Marc, you will need to find the video with English subtitles. The words are always powerful. The two songs I indicated are emotional and dramatic. However, Hua sings beautiful song as well such as Child, Ordinary Path, and Heaven.

Dr. Reynolds pls react to Dimash’s tribute to Queen with the Supervocal Boys at this year’s Singer semi-final 2 wks ago. He was invited as a guest and the group sang 4 of the most iconic Queen’s songs. It is super refreshing to hear Dimash singing Rock, also the first time I hear him sing in a quartet ♥️
