Part one of the Voice Attack command tutorial. Learn the basics of Voice Attack and how to create new commands. UPDATE: You can now purchase VoiceAttack through Steam!
This is perfect. I know I'm WAY behind everyone else on this stuff, but Project Cars 2 is new and the pit system requires a lot of key inputs while driving... which is really distracting. With Voice Attack, I hope I can set it up so that I can make any changes or request a pit with my voice. I've been struggling with GlovePIE for days... it won't stop repeating commands, so I'm at my wits end. Let's hope Voice Attack works for me.
I'm sort of wondering if this could be used for Age of Empires or some other game where you're commanding an army. I saw someone even used it to play Elden Ring only with voice commands.
so lets say I want to say something to VA but in the middle of the sentence I wanted VA to use a set of words to something back to me, but based on each word in that group it would say something different. how would I do that? instead of making 5 different spoken commands. I seen your video with the walk and move commands where you used the txtreplace token, but I couldn't modify it to work. So a crude example "I will meet you on the [north;south;east;west] end of the building" then the VA would say something different based on each of the bracket words followed by a key press and release. And I have never coded anything before so if you could help a guy out I would appreciate it.
I think you could use the {CMDSEGMENT:segment} variable to accomplish that. You can find a good example in the VoiceAttack help files, but basically segment 0 would be "I will meet you on the" and segment 1 would be your chosen direction. From there, you could use conditionals to spit out a different line of text and keybind actions.
Have a question for you, Is there a file that holds all of the profile variables, even after voice attack is off? So when I start voice attack with another profile it has all the Variables already and I don't have to reassign them.
I'm not sure how that might be done, but you can always check out the VoiceAttack support forums here: voiceattack.com/forum. I've gotten responses to most of my questions within a day.
I still use it but somewhat infrequently. The premade voice packs are fun, but I also live stream my games which makes it annoying to be shouting commands while interacting with chat.
