Totally agree. Voiceplay just makes me smile, every time. No matter how many times I listen to one of their pieces, I still land on that smile before it's over. I think - and I'm guessing here - that part of it is the complexity and surprise of their arrangements. They don't get old, ever. Can't WAIT until you do Nothing Else Matters. It's GLORIOUS! I subscribed so I do not miss it.
VoicePlay are a very special group, and I agree- you really can't listen to them and not feel happy. They are just wonderful, and so freakin' talented!
I just watched your entire VoicePlay journey and was cracking up. You went from not being sure their first video to them very quickly becoming your favorite. You were so confused about the switch up of members and called them the Wutang Clan of acapella and called Omar a 7 year old 😂 But I love that you aren’t afraid to pick a favorite and say it!! VoicePlay is by far my favorite as well for the same reasons you have mentioned! You have a lot to catch up on and I am here for it! Subscribed! 😅

People do have favourite voices, for some it's Eli, or J, or Cesar, or Geoff. Even Layne, though we don't hear him singing often. Some have favourite guests. For me it's hard to pin down. They're all incredible. I just appreciate them all, and the incredible way they blend together into a harmonious whole. And yes they are very special. They have a kind of genius that makes their arrangements outstanding. It might have something to do with the fact that every video is the result of one man's vision, whether it be Geoff, Layne or Eli, which he carries through to its conclusion. It keeps the whole thing tight.
Oh my gosh, yes, if you haven't seen their take on Nothing Else Matters and especially if you love J.None in particular, _please_ react to it. It's an absolute masterpiece and more than worth your time, I promise. As for this one, it's 100% 80s from start to finish, the guys knocked it out of the park and I love it so much!
Agh! I have missed your reactions, sir! So excited to see you reacting to VP again. There is truly something special about VoicePlay. I actually got to see J.None perform while he was on tour with the Navy Sea Chanters. It was so amazing. I even asked if it would be possible to meet him afterward and he actually took the time to come out and say hi to me and take pictures with me. I was wearing a shirt with the VoicePlay logo on it and as soon as he saw it he treated me like I was family. He is genuinely an amazing and kind person on top of being a spectacularly talented human being.
I watched this 3 weeks ago and again tonight. I doubt you'll see this comment, but I just have to say it. There IS something about VoicePlay. After hearing them the first time, i became increasingly impressed by their talent, work ethic, and their hearts. You can see how much of themselves they invest in these works of art! Amazing!❤❤❤
Thanks for your reaction! Yes J None is very special, very talented and needs more reactions to his solo work (please). He writes his own songs and arranges them, is a great rapper and beatboxer and does his own production (layering and harmonizing with himself). He is currently singing bass with the Navy but he can really hit those high notes. My favorite solo J None are "Who Gon Stop Me" and "Am I Here" (they are short so you could probably react to both in one reaction).
J has a special smooth tone to his voice. I grew up listening to Motown (among others, but Motown was a big favorite partly due to those gorgeous harmonies) I always think he could have made it in one of their groups. They each have incredible voices and I love every one of them ,but when J is with them there’s just a little bit of extra magic. You NEED to watch Metallicapella - Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. Stunning!!

At times I could see you were commenting, but you couldn’t be heard. Please go ahead and stop the video for comments. We don’t mind and we’re used to it.
