Yes, at that one point everyone - even Rachel - were beatboxing. And you didn’t mention the set. Most reactors assume green screen, but they built a scale model of the music box at Pattycake Productions studio (owned by Layne and former VP member Tony Wakim) to film the video. The dedication was for Eli’s mother and Rachel’s brother. Both had passed recently.

Jymmie Jacobson was Eli's mother and John Potter Rachel's brother, they both passed away last year

It was so fun to watch them build the music box. They are spot-on with the costumes as always. So funny they made Eli the Giant on stilts. Geoff the strongman, Cesar the trapeze artist, Layne the ringmaster, and Rachel perfect to be the Swedish Nightengale.

Love their creativity! The music box set is a scale model built right at the Pattycake studio. Layne and Tony did a similar medley for Pattycake but it was a tribute video about Walt Disney. Geoff has a solo song coming out soon. Grab the Kleenex for it.

The song you were trying to think of that Rachel Potter had the lead and highs on is "Never Enough". It gets me every time I listen to this medley. I've even looked up and saved the lyrics. Wish they, Rachel and VP could have preformed the entire song. So incredible.

I would love to hear them do the whole song too. It's a beautiful song and Rachel sings it so well.

Yes, in that one segment everybody was doing a little beatboxing (I’d have liked a wider shot of what Cesar was doing physically-we only get a glimpse-he tends to be a very physical singer). And it’s funny how one note can really impress you, but the way Cesar hit that note that you said sounded operatic-I just loved it. Already I can’t imagine Voiceplay without him. I also like that we got to hear a little of Rachel’s lower register (suspect she can go even lower but that sound was really warm). Eli, I think, was a little blocked by the stilts-he couldn’t move as much as he usually does, but damn, as usual, he brought those vocals! Layne killed it with this arrangement-it’s like he and Geoff are trying to top each other. Both of them just keep blowing me away. As for the “In Memory Of” at the end, according to another commenter elsewhere, Jymmie was Eli’s mom, and John was Rachel’s brother. Both died far too young. My heart goes out, as I lost my mom this year as well. God bless their families. As usual, terrific reaction! Looking forward to your first reaction to Dimash!

Cesar really showed his talents in this one, made a nice change, he's often given bit parts in the background, but this time he really shines in the foreground. I was also quite impressed by Rachel's power here too, she has some serious power in her voice when she uses it. You normally don't hear it so much because her previous collaborations with VP have required less power. I'd hate to be on the receiving end if she got angry, she could probably burst your eardrums :)

@@Tryst46 Have you watched their Phantom cover? She uses much of her range there and her high note at the end should come with a warning!

As usual, VP went one better than their last big production "Hoist The Colours". They always manage to do it better with each one. I don't count "Wicked" since that was more studio singing with almost no costume or set.

I love your reaction and how you break apart the musics liberties that showcases them individually. With your love of music you need to react to Postmodern jukebox which is a group that takes popular songs and brings them back to like the 30s, 40s, 50s eras. “Creep” is my favorite of theirs done by Haley Reinhart who is so musically talented and uses so many different techniques in her singing that she just blows you away. Love her, please do a reaction to it!!!

Layne's arrangements are always super fun and surprising! And Rachel and Eli were definitely having a belt-off! You should check out Anna Pantsu. Her cover of "Hellfire" from Hunchback of Notre Dame is incredible!
