The U.S. needs more men like Sgt Bromer. Thank God for men like this. If we were smarter, we would listen to men like this. SGT Bromer is a patriot and a good human being.
Sergeant Larry I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service You're a true gentleman and a Patriot.... I would serve in your platoon any day 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🍺🍺
Thank you for your service to the United States of America - the greatest country in the world, Sergeant Bromer! Your sacrifices do not go unnoticed!🇺🇲 Welcome Home! 🇺🇲
I love seeing these stories . Hearing a person speak really gives a perspective of the soldier. Great Job with interviewing Larry . Love the Vietnam veteran .
Mr. Bromer, you make me feel both humble- and so very, very proud - to have you as my fellow American. They don’t make them like you anymore. Love to you and yours, and eternal thanks for your courage , valor and sacrifice.
Such an easy interview to listen to. His voice is so pure and thorough flow of his thought. The world needs more men like Lawrence that is for certain. As inadequate as it seems, thank you for your service and so sorry you had to bare such burden.
The VA is a real piece of work. I have no respect for politicians in fact I have more respect for the enemy i fought against then politicians. This old soldier is very correct.
Many thanks Michael for your kind words. It's been an honor serving my God and my country through the lens of my camera the past 20 years, "LEST THEY BE FORGOTTEN!!"
@@VoicesofHistory"Your efforts are not in Vain.." my pop was a Viet Vet.. did not talk about the war.. he's been gone..and these War Stories..help me to understand..what he and others experienced in Southeast Asia.." Don't Stop doing what You Do"!!!!
Most don't know, but the 25th were the most feared of all U.S. soldiers by the N.V A. and vietcong. These enemy soldiers would always go around them,if they knew they were in the area.
I'm a retired US Army Airborne infantryman 22 years 87-09 and I served with many senior NCO's who had multiple tours in Vietnam. He reminds me of them myself a combat veteran. I listened and learned so much from these men . Its because of them im alive. I had a few good officers that where Vietnam veterans as well. Most where battlefield commission former NCO's many now including NCO's i wouldn't follow through a puddle. Are nothing but ticket punchers.
I salute you, Lawrence. Thank you for your service to our country, to the men you led, cared for and protected in Vietnam, and to your family by never giving up and making it home for your little girl. I see she's someone you can call on now. God bless you sir.
Mr. Bromer , I want to thank you for your service to our country. When ever I see a man or woman who has fought for all of us, I stop and let them know how grateful I am. My Dad was a WW11 vet who lived to be 91 years old. Every Veterans Day, he would put on his uniform, in which still fit him!, and we would go to one of his favorite places and walk around. Some people would come up to him and want to shake his hand. It made me so proud to be with him. And he felt respected. He sure enjoyed that time. I thank God he spared his life and he was my Dad. God bless you and your family. I wish I could shake your hand and thank you in person. Again, thank you✝️☮️
Sgt bromer. Thank you so much for your service. I love you kids. Cause you were kids. I went in the army in 85 and never saw combat, but had I…I could only hope I would be as courageous as the vets in nam.
SIR,THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.MY BROTHER DID TWO OR THREE TOURS IN NAM.WE JUST BURIED HIM 2 1/2 YEARS AGO IN THE VA CEMETERY.HE HAD AGENT ORANGE REAL BAD.MY FAMILY WAS VERY PROUD OF MY BROTHER AND ALL THE VETERANS THAT SERVED IN NAM AND ALL THE OTHER WARS. GOD BLESS YOU.
A truly amazing man in my eyes. As I watch these it checks me up. I'm so thankful that my family exists due to men like this thru the ages. Real men step up and save us all. I believe that ! Thank u sir
I too trained as a grunt for Vietnam at Fort Jackson in 1971. I was fortunate and did not go to Nam and have often wandered what it was truly like being in country in combat. This is the BEST documentary that I have ever heard. Thank You Sgt Bromer for your service and a excellent discussion about your year in Vietnam. WELL DONE. I salute you🫡
Keep this up larry great job. I hope every day the wars stop but I understand why we have too do it god bless Lawrence bromer and all us marines and army divisions that lost their lives and are still fighting for freedom todays
Thank you Lawrence. You served with honor and deserve all respect, especially from those of us who served but not in action. Looks like the noise of combat took its toll on your hearing. God bless you and thanks again. 15:19
Thank you Lawrence Bromer for answering the call and putting your life on the line for me. I grew up free because of MEN just like you. LORD BLESS YOU and the sacrifice you made for America 🇺🇸
Thi s man is telling how it was, he told us the good things and the bad things. But in reality the good things are seldom seen. We have to except the tragedies of war, it’s not a pretty picture. We’re here to see how this one man saw this war. In the end this man is a brave individual, he served his country. I hope Mr. Lawrence Bromer doesn’t dwell on the past. He is what makes the United States of America what it is. Keep On Truckin Larry !
Larry…thank you for your service…and welcome home I was a rifleman in the 25th infantry division 2/14th infantry golden dragons 68/69..was wounded twice I’m glad you made it back home to your family nobody knows what we went through unless you were there…that’s for sure….
57:46 this man said sorry for his poor posture. I can’t really put into words how mind blowing that was to hear. These guys came from a different time. My mom always bugged me about posture “quit slouching in your chair!” Brought back memories hearing him apologize. Thanks for the video Larry!
Intense Interview. You can tell he was real infantry by all his Storys he has to Tell. Infantry is the Backbone of any Army...Respect is all i have for this men! Imagine your comrade gets a dear John Letter and get killed the next day. The Girl should be so ashamed..
Great interview Larry.....This is my kind of guy right here...all of yours so diff.,like you said, another piece of the puzzle and glad you did a good ol southern boy....do you have any interviews with Vietnam Vets from Tn. or East Tn. Western N.C. would love to watch them if so.Thanks again for your work.
Thank you and your family for your service and sacrifice Sargent Lawerence. It made me cry when you said coming back home in the plane there was segregation, after all you men went through together the color of your skin was a problem, I’m so sorry. Your an American Hero. God bless you and your family. My husband was a Viet Nam vet,but didn’t go to Nam he enlisted in 1972 USMC🇺🇸
Lawrence, you should be drawing 100 percent for ptsd as you are not able to work. See your county veterans service officer and file a new claim. I’ve been thru the same issues with the v a and you will get your permanent and total rating.
I get what you are saying. Back in the bush you were somebody. When you were shot they disrespected you by telling you to work KP. Even in your own company they disrespected you. That's why you preferred to put your life on the line vs being a REMF. Our country should take better care of it's veterans. It might be better now. But 30 years ago I had no respect for the doctors at the VA. To me they were the doctors that no one else wanted and their level of proficiency was so poor l wouldn't recommend anyone going there. A took a friend to see the doctor because he had heart problems and all the doctor did was give him compression stockings so his feet wouldn't swell up. One pair.
The island he is referring to is Johnson island somewhere in the pacific. We were told if you happened to get the “black such” you would be sent there as that disease would kill you. For your info. JAmes jones
