The game runs great on PC. Bought it on release and still replay it occasionally. It's just too dam fun and hilarious. Switch just sucks hardware wise.
I'm very excited for this game. I've been eyeing it for some time now. Already have it pre-loaded with the DLC. Out of my 70 + Nintendo switch games I only have 4 physical. I will have five physical if and when Void Bastards goes physical. Great review as always thank you for the content have a great day.
Damn, coming from a steam player with over 100hrs in the game. I was really looking forward to a handheld version of this! I'll be watching closely at their patches and will buy if they ever figure out that freeze problem. Thanks for the great review!

I picked this up on Friday... I love the graphical style and the humour... it reminds me a little of HAL or maybe in some way of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld. There is a lot to like about this game and far more to like than to complain about. I always try to pick games like this up because it is the best way that I know to incentivise software houses & Indie devs alike that we want something different.
I beat this on Xbox. The gameplay is great, the desolate atmosphere is real, and acquiring and upgrading gear is satisfying. If you like the old Doom games, you'll love this. Lot of really good QoL things in the game like telling you if an item can be used in crafting or you can just junk it, what resources appear on a ship, a very helpful map showing where enemies and treasure are, letting you know if you're about to craft something using an item that's needed to advance the story. The complaint about repetitive levels is a bit misguided as they change later in the game when you go deeper into the nebula. This is a game about quality gameplay, not level variety. Any enemy that gives you trouble has a weakness. Sad to hear the Switch has performance issues. Tl;dr its 90's Doom with rogue elements. Every aspect of the game is fine-tuned and satisfying.
When you say they change are you talking past the end game once you’ve finished let’s say the main story cause obviously we ran through that then some of the challenges and additional filters. I enjoyed my time with it though, really addictive, I’ve actually just installed it on my Xbox though to check it out there as well!
Looks gorgeous. Very reminiscent visually of the original xbox game VIII. I'll wait for, hopefully, a patch to fix performance issues before I pick this up. Great review and great to see your subscribers increasing every video.
Appreciate it! I’m curious to see how other reviews score this one. I honestly feel I was fair with it. Yeah I was gonna say XIII but I feel that’s a bit of a hidden gem and borderlands more universal. If anything though this looks more like XIII than Borderlands. XIII needs to make a come back
This seems really cool and honestly I never get excited about these games. I’m glad this one kinda sounds like me. Except I really appreciate environments that don’t get repetitive. Thank you for your honesty about performance instead of “Some frame dips here and there but a patch will fix it right up” and glossing over it haha. I really appreciate it because that right there is going to save me my money. Let me know when they get their crap sorted out because putting out a game in this state is unacceptable and flat-out disrespectful to players. That’s how I see it anyway.

Wow, I'm usually not interested in eo shooters, but as a comic book fan the visually are really appealing to me. Hopefully the can patch up the bugs, because I would probably end up buying it. Thanks for the review.
Odd, no performance issues for me. Just very minor frame drops but nothing that's enough to bother me, doesn't interrupt combat just slows things down slightly.

You a fan of his work? I feel like he is an acquired taste for sure!

So it's the weird love child of Doom and Borderlands and XIII ... Totally dig it but the oxygen element is a deterrent to me. I never liked that in Borderlands the Presequel.. awesome reviews tho

Publisher decision I guess plus I don’t think they believe there is a market on the switch. Those games are huge too, battlefront and COD. Latest Warzone for example is 100gb.
I believe the most likely reason Doom, Wolfenstein and their sequels are as playable as they are is the direct result of ID Tech and the optimization of the software/tools/and overall scalable and usability of the engine itself. The team in charge of the Switch port seem extremely familiar with both ID Tech and Switch hardware/architecture. TL:DR, Basically, wizards

@@SwitchCorner You have convinced me to buy it when you mentioned that is complete package without any extra payments(I'm allergic to that shit). Only minus for me after putting almost 20h into it... it is COMPLETE package. Almost half of year since last movie came out and there is no table based on it so I assume there will be no new content. But those 19(!!!) that we already have are so different from each other that I'm not even surprised when I see players in tournaments with over 200h on the clock.

He drove me insane! It was funny at first and then it just kept on happening. Respect to the developers though here cause they are just committed with everything you know. Most wouldn’t stick with it in the humor like yeah a character who screams at you

@@SwitchCorner brutal to say the least lol. Have gone through maybe 5 prisoners so far, and getting owned. Might have to drop the difficulty lol. Besides that I am having a blast, and I like that all the stuff I make stay there for the next prisoner. Negative effects, had a colour blind and a cougher so far. The others have had positive effects such as 25% chance to explore map when docking (something like that). Great game. Hopefully they patch the frame rate issue though, no dramas with it being that bad so far, but a tad noticeable at some points.
What is the is the dock vs handheld mode in resolution and is it 60fps or 30fps locked or unlocked thats what we need to know who cares about gameplay!
