Hi players!
In this video I will present to you a playthrough of Cycle 3 of Voidfall.
This will be accompanied by explanations of every step.
I'll be more than happy to try and answer questions about the game, although the discord for Voidfall on BGG is very much alive and kicking and Nigel Buckle (head designer) is very active there.

Really great play through! The best I’ve seen so far. I’ve really enjoyed playing this one so far - 8 games played in the week since I got it (solo and co-op with my in-house gaming partner/son).

I dare to say top 3 of 2023 and will be ranked high on my list. How's the solo..? I'm thinking about diving into it and make another video this weekend

@@ezbgames Solo is really good - though considerably more involved than the competitive or even the co-op version. It took me a good dozen solo plays before I was good enough to play on the hard mode.

This video was so helpful! I was on the fence of getting Voidfall as my 1st heavier game, but your series REALLY made the rules & gameplay digestible. Hope you do more Voidfall videos but regardless I am now a subscriber. Thanks!

Very good play through, quite interesting how yellow won even with so many less agenda cards. The finish with the use of agenda card to invade the center by blue and then yellow kicking him out was cool. So close the score!! If you had moved the corruption off the last agenda, might have given win to blue. Anyways, fun play, really looking forward my first play of this gem!

I think that even if the last agenda card of the blue player, the yellow would have won. But this is something we can check 😊 I'm super glad you enjoyed this playthrough. I actually like seeing mistakes. Shows everyone is human, and great to have the notations afterwards. It really helps to highlight things to take care with, or learn for next time.

I've now played First Stand (Solo) 4 times on easy 3 wins. Ramping it up to medium next game. Looks like the House's different abilities and Cycle cards have a major impact on the strategy each game.

Appreciate the edit with the rules correction on Total War. It happens, but it was good you shared. Did change things but in the same manner for both players. Did Nigel caught this for you or you did? Having seen Paul’s video twice and read the manual I think I would have done same as you! 😂

21:40 couldn’t you have used Strategize to move the corruption from your fourth agenda to one of your tracks, for example? Although don’t know if you do this later.

Yes! Definitely the bkue player should have done that.. But I remind you again that I played as fast as possible without exploring all the options 😅 No strategy advices here lol

15:15 couldn’t you have used the fleet power you just return to deploy a corvette from the carrier? Or not possible as it is ‘deploy 1 fleet power as a corvette at the beginning of the approach phase’, and you didn’t have fleet power at that moment? Did I just answer my own question? 😅

31:53 when putting that farmer guild down, shouldn’t you have increased the population of that special sector…? And, Temptation, couldn’t you have done an action and put the corruption in one of the tracks…? Although that would have made the Skirmish harder.

Yes, population should have grown. I added a text in red to correct my mistake. And yes to your second question, but again- no strategy advices in this video.. just showing you a lot of playthrough :)
